The San Francisco 49ers and star wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk have had a pretty tumultuous relationship ever since the All-Pro’s memorable “hold-in” during a very public, ongoing contract dispute in the Summer of 2024. Specifically, the relationship of note more or less begins and ends with 49ers General Manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan, a notably successful duo that came in together with the storied franchise in 2017, and are essentially locked at the hip. Unfortunately, at least for fans of the team, based on a rather shocking report dropped by The Athletic, it appears Aiyuk is a near lock to be released by the team at season’s end. In the span of just 15 months since Aiyuk signed an enormous, four-year, $120 million extension, including $76 million in guaranteed money, the vibes are hardly “Can’t spell The Bay without BA” these days. “It now appears that Aiyuk and the 49ers are headed for a stunning divorce,” the report began. “Aiyuk, who suffered a season-ending knee injury last October, was placed on the physically unable to perform list in July and has yet to be activated. It’s now likely that he has played his last game with the [49ers] franchise, according to numerous sources briefed on the matter, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.” But it gets even more complicated from there, or perhaps less complicated given what’s apparently transpired between Aiyuk and the 49ers over these past few months. “Aiyuk, sources say, has failed to attend meetings and declined to participate in other team activities in recent months, and the 49ers have grown increasingly frustrated with the receiver’s lack of communication,” the lengthy dispatch from The Athletic continued. “The 49ers responded by voiding the guaranteed money in Aiyuk’s contract for 2026, asserting that the absences amounted to a failure to fulfill his contractual obligations. That would clear the way for his expected release at season’s end. The idea that a talent like Aiyuk might not be making his return at all this season already served as a huge blow to the 49ers offense. But based on the report and all the background music within it, the reality that this might already be the end for No. 11 in a 49ers uniform-based on social media alone-has fans of the Niners in a state of reflection, while fans of other NFL teams are jumping for joy in the hopes of landing the proven, talented wide receiver. The report also referenced that there are still some individuals within the 49ers organization who are still “holding out hope that the relationship can be salvaged enough for him to return this season.” But given the current circumstances of the apparent deeply fractured player-team relationship, along with the delicate recovery time given that Aiyuk suffered a torn ACL/MCL/meniscus just over a year ago, it seems like a return to the field in 2025 would be unlikely at this point.

Government committed to maintain full security during elections
Kathmandu, Nov 20: The government held discussions with over 100 registered political parties on preparations and security for the upcoming elections. The meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Sushila Karki at Singha Durbar on Wednesday, included representatives from more than 100 parties. The government emphasized its commitment to creating a safe and fear-free environment, while some parties raised security concerns. Communications and Information Technology Minister Jagadish Kharel said the government invited 115 of the 125 registered parties, with over 100 attending. He noted that such broad dialogue on elections is unprecedented in Nepal. The Prime Minister briefed the parties on election preparations, efforts to boost the morale of security personnel, and the work of the Election Commission. Most parties expressed readiness for elections and stressed the need for free, fair, and impartial voting, which the government assured it would support. Security concerns raised by a few parties will be addressed by the government. Regarding an incident in Bara involving CPN-UML leaders, Minister Kharel said that although the event was regrettable, vigilance by the Home Ministry and security forces prevented serious damage, and the situation has now stabilized. He affirmed that such incidents will not disrupt the elections. After the meeting, CPN leader Barshaman Pun stated that his party is fully prepared for elections and has already registered on Mangsir 1. He added that the main challenges lie not with smaller parties, but with the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML, whose leaders are still adjusting to being out of government. Pun urged these parties to create an atmosphere of trust and address their hesitations so the elections can proceed smoothly. The government’s dialogue with such a large number of parties underscores its determination to ensure a secure, transparent, and participatory electoral process in Nepal. Entire Texas congressional delegation votes to release Epstein files
The U. S. House of Representatives voted nearly unanimously Tuesday to require the Justice Department to publish all of its files related to Jeffrey Epstein, including one Texas Republican who opposed the measure until a few days ago. For months, President Donald Trump resisted calls to release the files as he tried to distance himself from the deceased sex offender, including pressing Republicans against signing a discharge petition a tool through which a majority can circumvent House leadership and force a vote on a bill to compel the Justice Department to release material on Epstein. Last week, the petition garnered the support of all House Democrats and four House Republicans none from Texas to successfully require a vote. The vote comes after the House Oversight Committee released documents last week that draw ties between Trump and Epstein, including emails from Epstein that mention Trump. As it became clear that many Republicans would vote with Democrats to release the files, the president changed his mind. Trump posted on Truth Social Sunday evening that House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files because they have “nothing to hide.” Trump also said Monday that he would sign the bill to release the files if it reached his desk. Later on Tuesday, the Senate agreed to pass the bill unanimously, sending it straight to Trump’s desk. On his podcast Monday, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said he supports the release of the files and added he suspected more Democrats would be harmed than Republicans. “The bulk of the evidence, from everything we know, is going to be evidence that is a real, real problem for, I suspect, a significant number of Democrats,” Cruz said. “I’m glad the President did this. I’m hopeful the House can vote. We can put this behind it, and then we can have some real accountability to people who committed criminal acts and hurt underage girls.” Though no Texas Republican joined the effort to compel a vote through the discharge petition, all of them voted in favor of releasing the files on Tuesday. Rep. Clay Higgins, R-Louisiana, was the only member who voted against the release. As recently as Friday, Rep. Troy Nehls, R-Richmond, spoke out against the measure. “I’ll be voting NO on the Epstein Hoax,” Nehls wrote on social media. “The Democrats are using the Epstein Hoax to distract us from the winning of President Trump and his administration.” But by Monday, Nehls was parroting Trump and telling reporters he would vote to release the files. The documents will exonerate Trump and prove that the president is not a pedophile, Nehls said. Nehls has previously said Republicans should be doing everything possible to help Trump achieve his goals. “If Donald Trump says ‘Jump three feet high and scratch your heads,’ we all jump three feet high and scratch our heads,” Nehls told reporters last November. Others, like Rep. Keith Self, R-McKinney, had consistently supported the bill, but refused to sign the discharge petition, saying a House panel probing the matter, with the blessing of leadership, was making good progress. Rep. Chip Roy, R-Austin, spoke on the House floor ahead of the vote, emphasizing the importance of transparency. “Today, a united Republican Party and a bipartisan super majority is going to pass a bill to increase transparency regarding the egregious abuses by Jeffrey Epstein,” he said. Rep. Julie Johnson, D-Farmers Branch, said the vote is symbolic because it shows that Congress is standing up for justice. For too long, Republicans have failed to hold people in positions of power accountable, she said. “It is political gamesmanship at its worst,” she said. “They’ve traded that accountability for complicitness to a president out of fear that they’re going to harm their great leader.”.

What’s Next for Bitcoin? Analysis Firm Assesses Recent Developments
Cryptocurrency analysis firm QCP reports that Bitcoin has been closely tracking overall risk appetite in recent days, stabilizing around $103,000 after a decline during the US trading session. As the partial government shutdown continues in the US, the Senate’s approval of a temporary budget extension until January 30, 2026, has encouraged markets to anticipate a resolution between November 12 and 15.
Weak ADP employment data has reinforced expectations that the Federal Reserve will adopt a cautious stance. According to QCP, Bitcoin continues to react sensitively to developments in the news cycle. After stabilizing around $103,000 following the US session pullback, BTC is showing renewed resilience, despite the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the government shutdown.
Yesterday’s disappointing ADP employment report revived concerns about a “weakening labor market” ahead of the December 9-10 FOMC meeting. The Senate’s approval of the temporary budget bill provides short-term relief, but the measure must now pass through the House of Representatives and then be signed by the White House. QCP describes this legislative action as a “time-buying” move. Although it may prevent disruptions over the holiday season, it does little to address underlying structural issues.
Markets are expected to remain highly sensitive to any delays or procedural hurdles in the ongoing budget negotiations. According to prediction platform Polymarket, the probability of the shutdown ending between November 12 and 15 has reached 96%.
With official government economic data suspended during the shutdown, private sector indicators have become the main guide for traders and investors. The NFIB Small Business Index recently indicated a modest decline in business sentiment. While companies continue to operate steadily, they report slower sales expectations, pressure on profit margins, and hiring difficulties. This trend supports the recent ADP data and aligns with a “cautious easing” policy from the Federal Reserve.
Once the government reopens and official data is released, accumulated reports are expected to confirm this slowing economic trend. QCP notes that factors such as government shutdowns, tariffs, credit market volatility, and weak economic data could contribute to market volatility throughout the fourth quarter. However, potential Fed rate cuts and strong corporate earnings may support risk appetite and bolster Bitcoin’s performance through the end of the year.
Looking ahead, QCP also maintains a generally positive outlook for 2026, as both monetary and fiscal policies are expected to provide a growth-friendly framework.

Democrats Shift Media Focus Back To Jeffrey Epstein With Email Release Of Claim Trump “Knew About The Girls”; White House Calls It A “Fake Narrative”
House Democrats shifted media attention back to the Jeffrey Epstein files on Wednesday with the release of a series of emails claiming that Donald Trump had more knowledge of the convicted sex offender’s conduct than previously disclosed.
In one of the emails released, Epstein wrote to Ghislaine Maxwell on April 2, 2011: “I want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is trump.. [Victim] spent hours at my house with him ,, he has never once been mentioned. Police chief. etc. im 75 % there.” Maxwell replied, “I have been thinking about that.”
In another email, dated January 31, 2019, Epstein wrote to journalist Michael Wolff, “[Victim] mara lago. [identifier]. Trump said he asked me to resign, never a member ever. Of course he knew about the girls as he asked ghislaine to stop.”
CNN and MSNBC gave extensive coverage to the email release this morning, while Fox News provided less focus on the story. However, Democrats appear to have timed the release around the pending swearing-in of a newly elected House member, Democrat Adelita Grijalva of Arizona. She will provide the crucial 218th signature on a petition to force a vote on the release of the Epstein files.
House Speaker Mike Johnson has declined to seat Grijalva while the House has been out of session during the shutdown, but representatives are scheduled to vote later today on a resolution to reopen the government.
Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA), the ranking member of the Oversight Committee, said in a statement: “These latest emails and correspondence raise glaring questions about what else the White House is hiding and the nature of the relationship between Epstein and the President.”
Republicans on the Oversight Committee responded with a statement saying, “Democrats whine about ‘releasing the files,’ but they only cherry-pick when they have them to generate clickbait.”
The GOP also revealed that the redacted name of the victim referenced in the emails is Virginia Giuffre. According to CNN, Giuffre said in a 2016 deposition that she “never saw or witnessed Donald Trump participate in those acts, but was he in the house of Jeffrey Epstein? I’ve heard he has been, but I haven’t seen him myself, so I don’t know.”
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt issued a statement saying, “The Democrats selectively leaked emails to the liberal media to create a fake narrative to smear President Trump.” She also noted that the ‘unnamed victim’ referenced in the emails is Virginia Giuffre, “who repeatedly said President Trump was not involved in any wrongdoing whatsoever and ‘couldn’t have been friendlier’ to her in their limited interactions.”
Trump himself has acknowledged his relationship with Epstein but said they fell out of favor. “The fact remains that President Trump kicked Jeffrey Epstein out of his club decades ago for being a creep to his female employees, including Giuffre. These stories are nothing more than bad-faith efforts to distract from President Trump’s historic accomplishments, and any American with common sense sees right through this hoax and clear distraction from the government opening back up again.”
Another email released on Wednesday, dated December 16, 2015, shows an exchange between Wolff and Epstein regarding Trump’s pending appearance on CNN.
“I hear CNN planning to ask Trump tonight about his relationship with you—either on air or in scrum afterwards,” Wolff wrote.
Epstein replied, “if we were able to craft an answer for him, what do you think it should be?”
Wolff responded, “I think you should let him hang himself. If he says he hasn’t been on the plane or to the house, then that gives you a valuable PR and political currency. You can hang him in a way that potentially generates a positive benefit for you, or, if it really looks like he could win, you could save him, generating a debt. Of course, it is possible that, when asked, he’ll say Jeffrey is a great guy and has gotten a raw deal and is a victim of political correctness, which is to be outlawed in a Trump regime.”

Rep. Glenn Ivey says “it’s pretty pathetic” that House will be on recess for 8th week
Despite being in the longest government shutdown in U.S. history, the House of Representatives has still not reconvened and is not expected to anytime soon.

Rand Paul Says Supreme Court Should STRIKE DOWN Trump’s Tariffs: ” Tariffs Are a Tax. I Want to See the Constitution Have Meaning”
During an appearance on *Varney & Co.*, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) expressed his belief that the Supreme Court should strike down President Trump’s authority to impose tariffs on foreign imports, arguing that such tariffs violate the Constitution.
Paul explained that the Founding Fathers intended for the power of taxation to rest solely with the House of Representatives.
**Stuart Varney:** Now, since we know you’re not a fan of tariffs, do you want to see them struck down by the Supreme Court?
**Rand Paul:** I want to see the Constitution have meaning. The Constitution said that taxes originate in the House. Tariffs are a tax. Anybody who tries to say tariffs are not a tax—just not serious people.
Our Founding Fathers wanted taxes to start in the House because the House is elected every two years, making it the branch closest to the people. They were very, very specific about this, especially since we fought the Revolution over taxation without representation.
A President cannot levy taxes without the approval of Congress. I think the Supreme Court is going to strike this down, and it’s not from any personal vendetta against the President. I like the President. I wish him and our country success. But we have to do things in an orderly, constitutional manner, or it can lead to chaos.
—
Meanwhile, President Trump has cautioned that a Supreme Court ruling against his authority to levy tariffs could cause devastating economic harm to the United States.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Trump said that overturning the tariffs would require the U.S. government to refund massive sums collected under his administration’s trade reforms.
Trump emphasized that the tariffs were part of a larger strategy to rebalance trade relationships and secure fairer deals for American workers.
**Reporter:** Before the Supreme Court issues a ruling, which could take several weeks, are you planning to lay out any new additional tariffs?
**Trump:** I don’t want to talk about it. I’m going to hope that we win. I can’t imagine that anybody would do that kind of devastation to our country. You know, we’d have to pay back trillions of dollars. We’ve taken in trillions. We haven’t taken in billions; we’ve taken in trillions of dollars.
We’ve made trade deals based on that revenue that give us, as an example, the European Union $950 billion, Japan $650 billion, and South Korea $350 billion. Without this, we’re not talking about that kind of money. And they’re okay. They’re satisfied. They love us. I just left. They all love us.
So, it’s not like we’re such bad people, but they were doing it to us until I came along.

At the heart of the case is whether the President can use the International Emergency Economic Powers Act of 1977 (IEEPA) to impose tariffs unilaterally after declaring a national emergency to reduce the U.S. trade deficit.
In May, the Court of International Trade in New York ruled that President Trump exceeded his authority under IEEPA.
The Department of Justice immediately appealed, but in August, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit upheld the lower court’s decision.
Now, the case heads to the Supreme Court, which will decide whether the President of the United States can exercise broad executive powers to impose tariffs during a declared national emergency.

Halloween Came a Few Days Late for Republicans
Democrats hit the trifecta.
It’s worse than that. Atop winning the governorships of New Jersey and Virginia and Gracie Mansion in New York City, Proposition 50—which allows for a redrawing of congressional districts on a partisan basis—won overwhelmingly in California. Meanwhile, Jay Jones, who infamously fantasized about murdering Republicans and their children, captured the office of attorney general in Virginia.
Republicans currently rule over all three branches of the federal government, and the party in power almost always takes it on the chin in off-year elections. Still, there’s little in the way of a silver lining on this cloud or a moral victory for Republicans to point to.
### Mamdani: The New AOC?
Add up the Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa vote totals—it still does not beat Zohran Mamdani. Donald Trump’s intervention in this race on behalf of a liberal Democrat, which effectively undermined a solid Republican candidate, now looks even more foolish given the predictable outcome.
Mamdani doesn’t offer any ideas that aren’t foolish, yet he speaks well, looks good, and emits a likeable vibe to people who do not know much about politics. (You might be surprised to learn that most people actually don’t know much about politics.) Mamdani has become a posterboy for Democrats and a boogeyman for Republicans.
### New York Has Elected Communists Before
Zohran Mamdani isn’t the first communist to win elective office in New York City. Benjamin Davis Jr. served a term on the New York City Council in the early 1940s. At the beginning of the next decade, he served time in federal prison as one of 11 Communist leaders convicted for violating the Smith Act.
Vito Marcantonio made a career representing Communists after he impersonated one in Congress. Samuel Dickstein was elected 11 times to the U.S. House of Representatives. His Soviet handlers, who thought very little of him due to his frequent demands for money, codenamed him “Crook.” (There’s even a block named after him in Manhattan, although the Teddy Roosevelt statue is gone from the Upper West Side.)
New York City survived all of those “red fools,” and it will survive this one, too.

### Mother Kuskokwim Statement Condemning Donlin Gold Project’s FAST-41 Designation
The Mother Kuskokwim Tribal Coalition strongly condemns the Federal Permitting Improvement Steering Council’s decision to add the Donlin Gold project to the FAST-41 list. This decision overlooks widespread opposition from Alaska Natives in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta.
The tribal coalition emphasizes that this action is especially inappropriate as regional Tribes await federal agencies’ responses to court-identified permitting flaws and continue to recover from the devastation caused by Typhoon Halong.
Fast-tracking the permitting process threatens vital environmental protections and silences Yukon-Kuskokwim communities that depend on healthy rivers for their survival. The Donlin Gold project endangers the Kuskokwim River and the communities sustained by it for millennia.
Concerns include an increase in residents’ utility bills by up to $265 a year, the production of massive cyanide-laden tailings, and the construction of a 316-mile gas pipeline through untouched lands—further jeopardizing already struggling salmon runs and subsistence resources.
Originally, FAST-41 was intended to streamline transportation infrastructure projects—not to fast-track controversial projects that fail environmental review.
While project sponsors claim to value community input, their rush to accelerate permitting despite unresolved issues demonstrates otherwise.

CA Election: Everything you need to know about Prop 50
SAN FRANCISCO — On November 4, California voters will decide on Proposition 50, a measure that proposes changing the state’s congressional maps mid-decade. This statewide election carries significant national implications, as how California votes could influence which party controls Congress in 2026 and determine the nature of Californian representation in the nation’s capital.
**How Did We Get Here?**
Proposition 50 is part of a broader national battle over redistricting. Both Republicans and Democrats are seeking to gerrymander—or redraw—congressional districts to influence the outcome of next year’s midterm elections and ultimately decide which party will control the U.S. House of Representatives.
This political struggle gained momentum when former President Donald Trump urged Republican-led states, including Texas, to redraw their congressional maps in their favor. In response, California Governor Gavin Newsom announced a plan to strengthen Democratic influence, which led to a special election being called and Proposition 50 being placed on the ballot.
**What Will Proposition 50 Do?**
If passed, Proposition 50 would change California’s congressional districts for the 2026, 2028, and 2030 elections. This would temporarily override the state’s independent redistricting commission, which is currently responsible for drawing new maps after the 2030 census.
The new maps would alter the boundaries of several districts, particularly five currently held by Republicans. These new boundaries would include more registered Democratic voters, theoretically making it more difficult for Republicans to hold onto these seats and increasing the likelihood of Democrats gaining additional congressional seats.
This move counters Texas’ efforts, which are similarly targeted but aimed at five Democrats currently in office.
**What Are the Experts Saying?**
ABC7 News insider Phil Matier explained that the outcome of Proposition 50 is uncertain. He noted that Democrats alone may not be enough to secure a win.
“Even if every Democrat in the state voted for this, you’d still be short,” Matier said. “They’re going to need to bring in independents and some Republicans in order to get this over the line.”
