A YouTube feed of your choice. YouTube is testing an AI chatbot that helps you customize your home feed to better match your video preferences. Watch only what you want The videos you see on your YouTube home feed are highly dependent on what the YouTube algorithm thinks will interest you. The algorithm constantly monitors your viewing habits, the content you’ve liked or disliked in the past, and the types of YouTube channels you follow to build your personalized feed. While this approach seems practical on paper, it can also mess up your feed quite easily. Interact with a couple of Marvel videos, and the YouTube algorithm will think you’re a die-hard Marvel fan. As a result, your home feed will instantly get filled with Marvel-related videos. YouTube now seems to be admitting that its algorithm sometimes fails to detect what you actually want to watch, and is experimenting with an AI chatbot that lets you specify the type of content you want to see. Receive the latest Android news By subscribing you agree to our terms and conditions and privacy policy. You can access the AI chatbot by tapping the new “Your Custom Feed” chip that appears next to the Home option on your YouTube main page. Then, enter a prompt describing the type of videos you want to see on your home feed. For example, you can type a prompt like “I want to see more WWE videos.” Your current YouTube home feed will be reset, and you’ll start seeing more WWE videos on it. Since the feature is still in its experimental phase, not everyone may see the “Your Custom Feed” option. Unfortunately, the option hasn’t appeared for me on any of my four YouTube accounts, even though two of them are YouTube Premium accounts. AI is slowly becoming the new tool for customizing feeds Interestingly, YouTube isn’t the only platform implementing AI to help users build their custom feed. X owner Elon Musk recently announced that users will soon be able to adjust their X feed simply by asking the platform’s built-in AI chatbot, Grok. Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, announced last month that the platform is testing a way to train its algorithm by adding or removing topics of interest. Whether it’s through a built-in chatbot or by manually selecting topics, platforms are finally taking a positive step toward giving users more control over what they actually want to watch. This is definitely better than relying on the platform’s algorithm to decide what it thinks you want to see. Recommended For You That said, it’s also worth noting how big companies like Google are integrating AI tools into their products. No doubt, an AI chatbot on YouTube will help you better manage your home feed. However, the flip side is that Google will most likely use the information you share with the chatbot to train its models, like Gemini. In the end, you’ll eventually become a source for Google to train its AI systems without even realizing it. There will also be a group of people who wouldn’t like any kind of AI interference in their YouTube feed. That’s why I really hope that if the feature becomes publicly available, Google also gives users the option to completely disable it for those who don’t want AI to learn what kind of content they like to watch on YouTube. Would you prefer any kind of AI involvement in your YouTube feed? Only if it really helps personalize my feed to my liking. No, I don’t want any AI analyzing what I watch on YouTube. Only if it really helps personalize my feed to my liking. 0% No, I don’t want any AI analyzing what I watch on YouTube. 0% YouTube has been going through a lot of changes recently While the AI-based home feed customization feature is still in the experimental phase, YouTube has already taken several interesting steps to give users more control over their feed. Over the past few years, YouTube has been prompting users with a “Customize Your Feed” option that occasionally appears on the home feed. When you tap on the prompt, you’re asked to select the types of videos you like, which ultimately helps the YouTube algorithm better understand your preferences. YouTube also constantly asks whether you like a particular post or video on the platform to determine if it should show you more similar content in your feed. Last year, YouTube Premium subscribers also got the option to customize their feed based on color, but it was removed after a few days and hasn’t been made available since. Furthermore, YouTube recently announced that it is adding a new button to let you remove pop-ups like “. All these innovations definitely hint that YouTube wants to keep refining the user experience on its platform. Steve Kerr Gives Terrible Update On Jonathan Kuminga
The Golden State Warriors continue to miss Jonathan Kuminga from their lineup due to his bilateral patellar tendinitis injury. Warriors coach Steve Kerr has a complicated history with Kuminga over the past few seasons. Many question their relationship not being strong as a reason why Kuminga will not have a long-term future in Golden State. The head coach was asked about Kuminga’s timetable to return to the court and provided an honest answer that gives little short-term hope to Warriors fans. “Honestly, I just talked to the training staff. They tell me it’s day to day,” Kerr explained to the media. “So, talking to JK, and he said he’s not moving that well, so I can’t tell you what the outlook is. JK can tell you that better than I could, so he needs to feel better and be able to move better before we can put him out there. Maybe we’ll get imaging done on the knee, but yeah, we got to figure it out.” Kerr: Kuminga Is Day To Day The most surprising thing about Kerr’s news is that he remains hopeful enough to list Kuminga as day to day on the injury report. More often than not, a coach saying someone is not moving well and has an uncertain return timetable will have them ruled out for at least another week or two. However, the team staff still felt Kuminga is day to day, which implies he can return any game coming up sooner than later. Golden State has missed Kuminga for five straight games and it hurts the team’s overall depth. The hot start for Kuminga saw him averaging 17. 4 points and 7. 1 rebounds in 31. 0 minutes over his first seven games. Confidence started to grow that Kuminga could be the third scoring option behind superstars Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler. Unfortunately, things slowed down after the first seven games. Kuminga averaged just 9. 5 points in 24. 0 minutes per game over his next six games before the injury ruled him out. Does Kerr Still Believe In Kuminga? Conflict between Kerr and Kuminga in past seasons fractured their relationship to never grow in the same way it did with the coach for Curry, Klay Thompson and other stars. Kuminga and his agent have made some critical comments in the past over how Kerr and the Warriors use the young player. However, this season proved that Kerr is willing to trust Kuminga if he feels the 23-year-old is contributing to the lineup and doing what is asked of him. Kerr ultimately benched Kuminga this season before the injury became a factor to show he had quickly lost confidence. Golden State only has Kuminga locked into a two-year contract, and his name is often floated around on the trade market. Kuminga getting healthy and playing consistently could see him either becoming a big factor to the Warriors’ success or the perfect young trade piece to improve their starting lineup.

Sunday Talks – Senator Mark Warner Not Happy with Ukraine Peace Proposal – Video and Transcript
Sometimes it pays to remind what Marco Rubio said back in February, “Ukraine is a proxy war between the U. S. and Russia.” From that context the remarks from SSCI Vice-Chair, Senator Mark Warner, make sense. Warner appears Senator Warner makes it clear he will not accept the end to conflict in Ukraine. Video and Transcript Below: [TRANSCRIPT] Senate Intelligence Committee Vice Chair Mark Warner joins me now. Good to see you this morning, Senator. SEN. MARK WARNER (D-VA), INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE VICE CHAIR: Good morning, Martha. RADDATZ: What is your reaction to this peace proposal that is on the table? WARNER: My reaction is it’s awful. It would make Neville Chamberlain’s giving in to Hitler outside of World War II looks strong in comparison. The fact that this was almost a series of Russian talking points, would require Ukraine to give the totality of the Donbas, parts they still control, cut back their military forces going forward, never be able to join NATO. This would be a complete capitulation. And it’s why I think you’re hearing from Congress, both sides, people pushing back. And, obviously, the Europeans feel like they’ve been totally left high and dry. MARTHA RADDATZ, ABC “THIS WEEK” CO-ANCHOR: You’ve heard the deadline from President Trump, but then him saying that’s not there’s room for negotiation here, it seems like. So, what do you think happens after today (ph)? WARNER: I think what happens it feels like this was a plan that they took almost entirely from the Russians, did no consultation with Congress, no consultation with the Europeans, obviously didn’t read in Zelenskyy and the Ukrainians, and now they’re getting ferocious pushback. So, one more time, Trump is changing his deadline. Of course, how he picked Thanksgiving to start with, I have no idea. But now it even with this some of this back and forth that it’s not really an American plan, or isn’t an American plan, this is the kind of chaos that, unfortunately, represents so much of the Trump foreign policy. RADDATZ: So, what do you think President Zelenskyy should do? He’s been through this before. It’s kind of back and forth with this White House. They support you. They pull it back. Do you think all of this, this proposal, which seems to heavily favor Russia, is that just a starting point again? WARNER: Well, I would hope I would hope so. Again, the Ukrainians have performed magnificently in the field. And they are reinventing the nature of warfare in terms of use use of drones. To have this proposal forced upon them, I think as Zelenskyy said, Ukrainian dignity versus giving up a partner, I would hope the president would not be so weak as to try to force this plan on the Ukrainian and our other allies. It would, I think, send not only a horrible signal for Europe, but the person who’s watching this probably the most closely is President Xi in China. And if the Americans are willing to throw in their towel so much like this on Ukraine, you can bet that Xi is thinking, this gives him a clearer path in terms of taking Taiwan. RADDATZ: But what does Zelenskyy do here? If on Thursday the president says, I’m telling you right now, take what we’ve got on the table and and there will probably be some changes, or we’re done. What what does Zelenskyy do, just hope that Europe rises and helps him out? WARNER: Well, let’s let’s, again, you have overwhelming support still for Ukraine. The last Ukraine aid package had 80 percent of the Congress. I think the president is seeing this one-sided plan kind of blow up in his face with pushback from the Ukrainians, from the Europeans, from members of Congress of his own party. And my hope is, he’ll come back and be a bit more reasonable. RADDATZ: I want to turn to Venezuela. We’re all watching that this week. What can you tell us about what you think happens now. We’ve got this massive buildup. We’ve got this massive show of force. We have airline who aren’t that aren’t flying there because of all the activity and the military activity right now. Do you expect something more to happen? WARNER: Well, historically, the United States’ intervention in Central America or South America has not always rolled out the way we’d hope. Maduro was a bad guy, frankly, under Biden. When the Venezuelan people voted in overwhelming numbers, Biden should have put more pressure on getting Maduro out then. It was a mistake. But now, to have this much armed forces, we have not been briefed on any military action that would have been authorized. He keeps putting the word out that maybe he has authorized, maybe he’s not. We are trying to get the answer on that. But there is a real question. You know, to take this big a fleet, bring our largest aircraft carrier, put them there to further blow up boats that they claim have drugs on them, frankly they could have interdicted some of those boats and shown the world that there were drugs. In terms of Venezuela, the legal opinion about the drug run drug running doesn’t touch Venezuela at all. So, the president would have to come back and brief us. RADDATZ: Trump says he’ll be speaking with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. Do you think that is a good idea? And what can you say to him? WARNER: Because I think the notion that Trump says he’ll talk to anyone, I think that is I’m not going to critique him on that, if there’s a way to push Maduro out. Remember, our government and fifty other governments, almost all of Western Europe, don’t recognize the Maduro government as legitimate. But it does not feel like there is an organized plan. And coming down again, America only, without any of our other allies in South America or Central America again seems not the right approach to me. RADDATZ: What could happen short of a show of force? When you have that massive a show of force, it’s almost like, you’re in a position where you have to do something or you might look weak. Short of Maduro saying, OK, I’ll leave, then what does he do? WARNER: Well, again, that’s the million-dollar question. And as you know, when you’ve got this many forces down there, and you can’t keep the carrier positioned there forever, you also have the chance of an accident happening or a conflict between the Venezuelan air force or some of our planes that might RADDATZ: Do you think he wants to go to war with Venezuela? Do you think he wants (INAUDIBLE) WARNER: I don’t know. I don’t know. I think he is trying to put outside pressure on Maduro. But by doing it in this kind of America only approach, again without giving any sign to, I think, even his the Republicans on The Hill what his plans are, I’m not sure is the right way to do foreign policy. You couple this Venezuela misadventure with this desertion of Ukraine and this is not making America safer, and it’s sure not putting America first. RADDATZ: Thanks very much for joining us, Senator. Always appreciate it.

49ers and Brandon Aiyuk Reportedly Headed Toward Stunning Split
The San Francisco 49ers and star wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk have had a pretty tumultuous relationship ever since the All-Pro’s memorable “hold-in” during a very public, ongoing contract dispute in the Summer of 2024. Specifically, the relationship of note more or less begins and ends with 49ers General Manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan, a notably successful duo that came in together with the storied franchise in 2017, and are essentially locked at the hip. Unfortunately, at least for fans of the team, based on a rather shocking report dropped by The Athletic, it appears Aiyuk is a near lock to be released by the team at season’s end. In the span of just 15 months since Aiyuk signed an enormous, four-year, $120 million extension, including $76 million in guaranteed money, the vibes are hardly “Can’t spell The Bay without BA” these days. “It now appears that Aiyuk and the 49ers are headed for a stunning divorce,” the report began. “Aiyuk, who suffered a season-ending knee injury last October, was placed on the physically unable to perform list in July and has yet to be activated. It’s now likely that he has played his last game with the [49ers] franchise, according to numerous sources briefed on the matter, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.” But it gets even more complicated from there, or perhaps less complicated given what’s apparently transpired between Aiyuk and the 49ers over these past few months. “Aiyuk, sources say, has failed to attend meetings and declined to participate in other team activities in recent months, and the 49ers have grown increasingly frustrated with the receiver’s lack of communication,” the lengthy dispatch from The Athletic continued. “The 49ers responded by voiding the guaranteed money in Aiyuk’s contract for 2026, asserting that the absences amounted to a failure to fulfill his contractual obligations. That would clear the way for his expected release at season’s end. The idea that a talent like Aiyuk might not be making his return at all this season already served as a huge blow to the 49ers offense. But based on the report and all the background music within it, the reality that this might already be the end for No. 11 in a 49ers uniform-based on social media alone-has fans of the Niners in a state of reflection, while fans of other NFL teams are jumping for joy in the hopes of landing the proven, talented wide receiver. The report also referenced that there are still some individuals within the 49ers organization who are still “holding out hope that the relationship can be salvaged enough for him to return this season.” But given the current circumstances of the apparent deeply fractured player-team relationship, along with the delicate recovery time given that Aiyuk suffered a torn ACL/MCL/meniscus just over a year ago, it seems like a return to the field in 2025 would be unlikely at this point.

Enzo Maresca provides update on whether Cole Palmer will play for Chelsea in matches against Barcelona and Arsenal
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has revealed that Cole Palmer will be out for another week after fracturing his toe at home. The Englishman was set to return to training after recovering from his groin injury. Ad Speaking to the media ahead of the Burnley clash in the Premier League, Maresca said that Palmer had hit his left toe on a door at home in the middle of the night and is set to be out for another week. “He is probably not available for tomorrow, for sure, Barcelona, for sure, Arsenal, for sure. Unfortunately, he had an accident at home with his toe. But it’s nothing important. For sure, he is not back next week. We don’t know. It’s fractured. The only thing we know he is not available for this week and next week. I wake up many times in the night to go to the toilet, I hit my head and leg and everything. It can happen.” Ad Trending Maresca went on to reveal that Palmer was close to making his return to the pitch, but has now suffered a fresh setback. The Englishman was at the training ground yesterday, but has not trained with the first team. “He was very close. He was back with us, almost with the groin, which is very good news, but he has this small problem. The last time I saw him was yesterday morning and he was without socks, without flip-flops, without nothing. I don’t know how he is today. It was in the changing room. He wasn’t limping, he seemed okay, but it’s his small toe, so it can be painful.” Ad Chelsea face Burnley this weekend in the Premier League, followed by Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League, and Arsenal in the league. They have been without Cole Palmer since he came off early in the 2-1 loss at Manchester United in September. Chelsea miss Cole Palmer, admits Enzo Maresca Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has admitted he prefers to play with Cole Palmer on the pitch, and his players share the same opinion. He is happy that the team has performed without the star player, and said: Ad “Absolutely not [laughs], I don’t think that. The team prefer it when Cole is playing, I feel much better with Cole on the pitch but when he is not, we need to find solutions. The team is doing fantastic, really well. For any manager, it’s nice when you miss a player but the team still plays in the way you want it to.” Chelsea have lost just two of their 11 matches in all competitions since Palmer’s injury in September. They sit third in the Premier League table, eight points behind leaders Arsenal, and two points behind second-placed Manchester City. × Feedback Why did you not like this content? Hey, Google — is Santa real? How AI is ruining Christmas for kids
AI is the new Grinch that’s stealing Christmas. Nervous laughter was Kelly Bowron’s visceral, hysterical response to her son learning the truth about Santa Claus on Tuesday courtesy of a Google search. Her little Leo, age 11 whose belief in the jolly old elf had remained firmly intact from childhood to preadolescence until this week simply wanted to know St. Nick’s spending budget, per child, worldwide. Unfortunately, however, Google’s AI overview instantly turned his merry curiosity into holiday dismay with its answer, reading, “There is no set amount Santa spends per child, as he is a fictional character.” “He screamed, ‘A fictional character?’” Bowron, a UK mother of two, told The Post. “And I was shocked, laughing in disbelief, telling him, ‘No, no. Google doesn’t always tell the truth. I still believe in Santa. Don’t listen to Google.’” A Google spokesperson told The Post that, despite its AI overview which derives responses from top-trending web content the company “believes in Santa,” noting that the site even features a dedicated Santa tracker, counting down the days until his big night. Still, peeved parents like Bowron aren’t pleased that their tiny tots, who would likely prefer to remain all aglow, can easily open up the internet and be gifted a lump of coal. After several hours of damage control, Leo so crushed by Google AI’s revelation that he gave it the middle finger seemed to buy his mom‘s insistence that Santa is real. But Bowron, wanting to preserve her youngest child’s innocence for as long as possible, spent the rest of the evening “annoyed” at the search engine and artificial intelligence for nearly spoiling the spirit of the season. With sophisticated technology at our fingertips and now, thanks to built-in speech features on most digital devices, at our beck and call large language models like ChatGPT, Grok and Google’s Gemini are everywhere and accessible to everybody. It’s a frustration most parents of Gen Alpha and Gen Beta kids, those under age 14, may face this year and beyond. Jeanice Perez, 37, a single mom of one from Las Vegas, didn’t even have time to adapt or even brace herself before her third-grader, Jordyn, stormed through the front door after school one day and yelled, “We need to talk!” Google had given the little girl a rude, Yuletide awakening, telling her Santa Claus isn’t real. It felt like a “betrayal” to Perez. “I was offended,” said the lifestyle influencer, whose daughter is now a teen. “I’d spent years committing to the bit perfecting my ‘Santa’ handwriting, making sure the reindeer had their carrots, nibbling the cookies just right, making sure not to let her find the wrapping paper ‘Santa’ used for her presents in the closet.” “Then, one day, I was just betrayed by Google.” The “betrayal” may be less of a surprise to some. Recent research found that 51% of children aged 8 and younger already have their own mobile devices. The data also determined that roughly 33% of parents allow their broods to access AI chatbots through those gadgets for answers to everyday quandaries including questions like: “Is Santa real?” Jeremy Gutsche, an AI expert and married father of two, told The Post that in the war between artificial intelligence vs. concerned parents, the bots will likely come out on top. “Is advanced technology the end of childhood wonder? Not exactly,” Gutsche, author and founder of Trend Hunter, an AI trends-spotting imprint, explained to The Post. “But it is an unstoppable force, which may push us to rethink how we teach our children about Christmas and whether or not Santa is a real character.” The pro warned that many major tech companies might soon implement kid-friendly guardrails to censor certain information but they are virtually ho-ho-hopeless. “There are dozens of competing models, and it would be nearly impossible for each platform to have one universal response to questions about Santa,” Gutsche noted. “The difficulty with embedding any rule into AI is that it can cause truth-seeking consequences in the future.” He said moms and dads will just have to learn to go with the high-tech flow. “We need to retrain our thinking in order to quickly adapt to changes in this new AI world,” said Gutsche, “versus hoping there will be regulations, which probably won’t happen.” Natalie, an NYC mom of two who preferred to use pseudonyms for her and her children, felt a similar sting when her 7-year-old daughter, Tara, announced that Google had recently burst her Santa-belief bubble. “I was walking my daughter to school the other morning and she turned to me and said, ‘I don’t believe in Santa anymore,’” Natalie recalled. “I asked why, and she replied, ‘Well, I asked Google whether Santa was real, and Google said ‘no.’ Google said that Santa was invented by Coca-Cola. “‘So I don’t believe in him anymore.’” The second grader’s sudden disillusion was hard for the mom to stomach. “Honestly, I felt quite sad about it,” she confessed. “You think, as a parent, that it’s much more in your control about how your kids find out about these things.” Her elder daughter, now 12, discovered the real deal about Kris Kringle two years ago, in what she called “a more normal, organic way” that kept the magic of Christmas alive. But that whimsical cheer might die with the tykes of today. Natalie revealed that debates about Santa’s existence are “now all flying around all her classmates,“ owing to overly chatty chatbots. One of the Gothamite’s mom friends plans to unplug her family’s Google Home smart speaker until the new year, hoping to avoid any anti-Santa leaks. Another pal, an elementary school teacher, told her that she lets her students the ones that skip AI altogether, and ask her if Santa is real what they think about his lore. She then follows up with a mini lesson on “beliefs” versus “knowledge.” But by that point, the child’s lost interest and often runs off, screaming “6 7!” It’s the silly, sad reality of kids and Christmas culture today. “I can just see that we’re raising a generation of slightly more cynical kids thanks to AI,” said Natalie. This may not be the answer you wanted . The Post asked Google, ChatGPT, Grok, Siri and Google Gemini the controversial, age-old question: “Is Santa real?” Check out what each chat said, in part.

Phoenix Suns Get Crushing News After Latest Jalen Green Update
Unfortunately for the Phoenix Suns, guard Jalen Green’s comeback has been cut short once again. After returning from an early-season hamstring strain with a 29-point debut, Green is expected to miss the next four to six weeks after re-injuring his right hamstring in Saturday’s 114-103 win over the Los Angeles Clippers, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
The 23-year-old guard exited late in the first quarter, clutching the same hamstring that sidelined him for the Suns’ first eight games. Trainers helped him off the floor as he put little weight on his right leg—just seven minutes into his second start for Phoenix.
A Painful Repeat of a Promising Return
Green’s debut against the Clippers two days earlier had Suns fans buzzing. The former Houston Rockets guard shot 10-for-20 from the floor, drained six 3-pointers, and looked like the explosive scorer Phoenix envisioned when acquiring him in the Kevin Durant trade. But 48 hours later, his momentum ended abruptly.
Green had two points before grimacing in pain after driving into the lane and immediately reaching for his hamstring.
“As soon as you see JG go out, you just feel for him,” head coach Jordan Ott said. “He worked so hard to get back. Highs and lows of sports in 48 hours.”
Teammate Royce O’Neale said Green was in good spirits after the game, while Collin Gillespie added, “It was tough to see after how hard he fought to get back.”
Suns Stay Hot Without Green
Even without Green, Phoenix rolled. The Suns built a double-digit lead and never trailed again, improving to 6-5 after a 1-4 start. The win marked their fifth in six games, showing improved chemistry between Devin Booker, Dillon Brooks, and the rest of the rotation.
Booker, who has dealt with his own hamstring injuries, empathized with his backcourt mate.
“It’s tough. I’ve definitely been through it,” Booker said. “We’re going to rally around him. His debut the other night was off the charts.”
Phoenix carried that energy into its next game, a 121-98 blowout over the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday night, extending its winning streak to two while Green began recovery.
A Lingering Issue
Green’s hamstring problems began in training camp, when he strained the muscle before the preseason opener against the Lakers. He then reaggravated it during the team’s trip to China for two preseason games against the Nets, forcing him to miss the Suns’ first eight regular-season contests.
Despite that, his Nov. 6 debut performance briefly reignited optimism.
“I was so excited, I couldn’t even sleep,” Green said afterward. “I told the guys I couldn’t even get my pregame nap in.”
The setback is especially frustrating given Green’s durability — he played all 82 games in each of the past two seasons with Houston.
“There’s some good in there,” Booker said. “We saw a glimpse of what we can be together, but the priority is making sure he’s fully ready next time.”
If history is any indication, Green’s work ethic should speed up his recovery. But for now, Phoenix will have to stay patient — and hope the next comeback sticks.
Where to find flowers for the confessor at the monastery in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
In the early hours of arriving at the monastery in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*’s *Mysteria Ecclesiae* DLC, Henry finds himself chatting with a very sick confessor. Although the man is unwilling to share much information, you can agree to bring him some flowers. Struggling with a mysterious illness and surrounded by the smells of the infirmary, the flowers will serve as a pleasant distraction from his ailments.
### Where to Find Flowers for the Confessor at the Monastery
The easiest place to find flowers for the confessor is just outside the door you entered. Step into the monastery courtyard, where you’ll spot some flowers—though nothing will explicitly indicate that these are the ones you need.
Look carefully in the corners of the courtyard to find dandelions and valerian. Dandelions are small yellow plants with fluffy, puff-like flowers. Valerian, on the other hand, appears as white, bushy flower clusters.
Collect two or three of each flower, then return to the infirmary.
### Giving the Flowers to the Confessor
Once back inside, speak with the confessor again. You’ll get the option to give him the flowers. Select them from your inventory and confirm that you want to present them to him.
Sadly, offering the flowers won’t make the confessor any more willing to talk, as he fears that sharing information would break the sacrament of confession. However, it is a kind gesture for someone so ill, and a small but meaningful way to show compassion.

GM Once Built A Pontiac Firebird With A Ferrari V12 And Kept It Secret
Take a look at GM’s second-generation F-body duo, the 1970 Chevy Camaro and Pontiac Firebird, and it’s hard not to see the influence of Ferrari’s classic 250 GT SWB in their curves. The proportions, the sweep of the roofline, the taut stance— all of it feels like Detroit borrowing a few pages from Maranello’s playbook.
Also: [This DeLorean Just Got A Ferrari V8 And Is Finally Ready To Roar](#)
Yet few know that, behind closed doors, GM’s designers actually developed a secret F-body concept where the “F” really did stand for Ferrari. Under its hood sat a genuine V12 from Italy, not a small-block from Flint. It was called the Pegasus—winged horse, geddit?—and its story starts with Jerry Palmer, a young Chevrolet stylist who sketched out some sleeker, more European design cues for a future Camaro based on the then-new 1970 coupe.
### How Did It All Begin?
Legendary GM design chief Bill Mitchell saw those drawings and, in classic corporate fashion, swiped the ideas for Chevy’s sportier brother Pontiac instead. The result was a 1970 Firebird that ditched Trans Am flash for European glamour and sophistication.
It’s OTT compared with a stock Firebird, no question, but it genuinely looks like it was created by a famous Italian coachbuilder for some wealthy shipping magnate in Milan—not by a bunch of American boys in Detroit.
And it wasn’t all smoke and scoops, either. Under that seductive red body sat the heart of a Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona—a 347 hp (352 PS) 4.4-liter V12 apparently donated by Ferrari itself.
### A Clash of Cultures Under the Hood
GM engineers crammed the exotic powertrain between the Firebird’s fenders by moving the firewall back 9 inches (230 mm), but then tried to mate it with a GM three-speed automatic transmission. This proved to be a poor match for a highly-strung six-carb V12 designed to work with a five-speed manual.
These days, Pegasus runs a slightly more tractable 365 GTC/4 V12 and a proper Ferrari manual transmission. In later years, the original gold pinstriping was unfortunately removed. Despite this, the core design features—some of which would appear on production Chevys and Pontiacs throughout the 1970s—are still present.
### The Testa Rossa Connection
Most obviously, there’s a 250 Testa Rossa-style pout, which was originally modified from Palmer’s first sketch to incorporate Pontiac’s trademark grille divider. That feature was later removed while the car was being repaired following the first of at least two crashes that happened when Mitchell was behind the wheel.
Then there’s the vented hood with its narrow central bulged scoop designed to clear the bank of velocity stacks poking from the 12-cylinder engine’s vee.
Recognize any of those tricks? The semi-recessed headlight theme would appear on both the production Camaro and Firebird for 1974. The wraparound rear window that massively improved rear visibility made it to showrooms the following year.
While the F-bodies never got this concept’s razor-thin tail, it did show up on the new-for-1973 Pontiac Grand Am and Le Mans, though the effect was ruined a season later by the ugly, federally mandated 5 mph (8 km/h) bumpers.
### Real Leather, Real Ferrari Gauges
Inside, Mitchell’s personal touches turned the cabin into something between a Ferrari GT and a GM dream car. Bar a bulge directly behind the wood-rimmed wheel, the basic dashboard shape is Firebird through and through, but it is home to Ferrari’s gauges and swathed in rich leather—not the usual plastic and fake-wood vibe you’d expect from a 1970s Pontiac.
Motor Trend’s Frank Markus was lucky enough to get behind that wheel in 2006, where he discovered a driving experience as mixed up as you’d expect.
The over-light power steering and crude live-rear-axle ride was pure Detroit, but the sound was unmistakably Ferrari. And even if it didn’t feel quite as quick as the 1,000 lbs (450 kg) lighter Daytona, it was still capable of shaking the rear tires loose in third.
### Legacy of Pegasus
Pegasus reportedly stayed with Mitchell after his retirement in 1977, and remained with him until his death in 1988. Today, it lives in GM’s Heritage Collection as a reminder of how designers can “learn” from each other—and also the crazy amount of sway Mitchell had at the company during the 1960s and early ’70s.

Bears Get Brutal News on LB T.J. Edwards After 2 Missed Practices
Chicago Bears’ T.J. Edwards Faces Injury Concerns Ahead of Week 10 vs. New York Giants
The Chicago Bears don’t sound too optimistic about starting linebacker T.J. Edwards playing against the New York Giants in Week 10’s home game. After missing the first two practices of the week due to hand and hamstring injuries, Bears head coach Ben Johnson revealed on Friday that the 29-year-old recently underwent surgery to repair a hand fracture and will be wearing a cast if he plays.
Unfortunately, Johnson also disclosed that the hamstring injury, which landed Edwards on the injury report this week, is the same one that kept him out of three of the Bears’ first four games. This injury could threaten his availability on Sunday even more than his hand.
> “He got surgery on that [hand], and the hand’s not going to hold him back,” Johnson told reporters before Friday’s practice. “That’s something I think we’ll be able to cast up and he’ll be OK. But between that and he had a hamstring as well, we’re working through both of those things to get him back.”
On the bright side, Johnson indicated that Edwards likely won’t need to spend time on the injured reserve list due to his broken hand and ongoing hamstring issues. Still, the Bears are continuing to evaluate his status ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Giants.
The Bears (5-3) will face the Giants (2-7) at Soldier Field at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
Will the Bears Increase Rookie Ruben Hyppolite II’s Playing Time?
Johnson’s indication that Edwards will avoid injured reserve is a positive sign that the Bears won’t be without him for long. However, could the team look to give more snaps at linebacker to fourth-round rookie Ruben Hyppolite II during Edwards’ recovery?
Early in the season, the Bears appeared eager to get Hyppolite on the field defensively when Edwards was first dealing with his hamstring issue. Hyppolite saw eight defensive snaps in each of the first two games, but his playing time sharply dropped to just two snaps in Week 3. Since then, he has not played on defense and has been a healthy scratch for four straight games.
It is important to note that Edwards returned to the lineup after the Week 6 bye, allowing the Bears to utilize Edwards, Tremaine Edmunds, and Noah Sewell as their primary linebacker trio. Even so, when Sewell missed Week 7’s game against the New Orleans Saints, the Bears turned to veteran backup D’Marco Jackson rather than the rookie Hyppolite.
Perhaps the Bears believe Hyppolite needs additional time learning Dennis Allen’s defensive system before seeing significant game-day action. However, keeping him inactive again at home in Week 10 may raise some questions about the team’s development plans for the rookie.
Bears Activate Linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga From Injured Reserve
While the Bears could decide to increase Hyppolite’s playing time against the Giants, they will also bolster linebacker depth with the return of Amen Ogbongbemiga.
The Bears officially activated Ogbongbemiga on Thursday from the injured reserve list, clearing a roster spot on the final day of his 21-day practice window. This move sets the stage for him to make his 2024 season debut against the Giants on Sunday.
Ogbongbemiga, a valuable special teams contributor, signed a two-year contract extension in the offseason that keeps him with the Bears through the 2026 season. He suffered a shoulder injury in training camp that landed him on IR with a return designation during the team’s 53-man roster cutdown at the end of August.
Though primarily a special teams player—appearing in all 17 games and playing 364 special teams snaps this season—Ogbongbemiga has played just 15 total defensive snaps in 2024. With Edwards dealing with injuries, the Bears could consider increasing Ogbongbemiga’s defensive role against the Giants.

As the Bears prepare for their Week 10 home game, the status of Edwards remains a key storyline, while the team’s linebacker depth gets a timely boost with Ogbongbemiga’s return. Fans will be watching closely to see how the Bears manage their linebacking corps against the struggling Giants.
