WATCH: President Trump Suggests that Brandon Johnson and JB Pritzker May Face Criminal Charges – DHS Sec Kristi Noem Reveals that Portland Police Were Cheering on Antifa’s Calls for Violence with Their “Fists in the Air”, Says Officials Should be Prosecuted

President Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem called for the prosecution of Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and Illinois Governor JB Pritzker for allegedly perpetuating attacks against law enforcement during a roundtable on ANTIFA at the White House on Wednesday.

As reported by The Gateway Pundit, federal officers from Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) were recently ambushed by a convoy of roughly ten vehicles in what officials described as a coordinated assault by domestic extremists against law enforcement. Despite the severity of the incident, Chicago police were explicitly ordered to stand down and ignore distress calls from the federal agents.

President Trump asserted that both Governor Pritzker and Mayor Johnson were aware of the orders to stand down. “The governor knew about it, the mayor knew about it,” Trump told reporters, suggesting criminal liability for their actions. On Truth Social, Trump wrote this morning, “Chicago Mayor should be in jail for failing to protect ICE Officers! Governor Pritzker also!”

When asked whether he had requested the Justice Department to investigate possible charges against the mayor and governor, Trump did not provide a direct answer. However, he described the decision to have police stand down as illegal, and deferred to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem for further comment.

Secretary Noem emphatically agreed, stating that elected officials in Illinois “should absolutely be prosecuted.” She also revealed concerning behavior by law enforcement in Portland, Oregon, where ICE officers reportedly witnessed Portland police officers cheering with fists raised alongside ANTIFA protesters who were calling for the murder of ICE agents.

“Noem said, ‘Those kind of individuals who are perpetuating murder should absolutely be prosecuted, in my opinion.’” She recounted that during the Chicago incident, a ten-car caravan trailed ICE officials and pinned them down. When the ICE officers attempted to exit their vehicles, a woman reportedly tried to ram them, resulting in shots being fired to ensure their safety.

Noem highlighted that this pattern of law enforcement complicity with extremist groups is not isolated to Illinois but is also occurring in other states such as Oregon.

In summary, both Trump and Noem condemned the alleged inaction and complicity of local law enforcement and elected officials in enabling attacks against federal agents. They called for accountability and prosecution of those responsible for undermining the safety and security of ICE personnel.

### Key Quotes from the Roundtable:

**Reporter:** “You said the mayor of Chicago and the governor of Illinois should be jailed. Have you asked the Justice Department to look at possible charges?”

**Trump:** “I’ve seen the law, and when you have a group of people where the police call off the safety for ICE officials, I’ve understood that, and I’ve read it today in numerous journals, that that’s illegal. What they did is… I guess it was ICE, Kristi, right? They were under threat, and the police were helping beautifully, it was fine, and then all of a sudden, a woman was on the line, saying, ‘Everybody move back, move back, get out, get out.’ And they were given an order by the second person in the police department, and the governor knew about it, the mayor knew about it. I understand that’s a criminal offense. You want to comment on that, Kristi?”

**Noem:** “Sir, we’re seeing that kind of pattern happen with local law enforcement and state law enforcement, not just in Illinois, but also out in Oregon too. In fact, in Portland, I was there yesterday, but some of the ICE officers were telling me that as they drove by the rioters that were saying, ‘Kill ICE agents, Molotov cocktails melt ICE,’ that the Portland Police were cheering them on and had their fists in the air cheering on the rioters that were threatening their lives.

“So, in Chicago, we had a ten-car caravan trail our ICE officials and pin them down. And those ICE officials to get out of their vehicles, a woman tried to ram them and run them over, and shots were fired to get them to safety. So, it’s happening on a regular basis, and any elected official that allows this to happen and gives cover to those kind of individuals who are perpetuating murder should absolutely be prosecuted, in my opinion.”

Uttar Pradesh News: Lucknow Police Commissionerate Upgrades Wireless Network, Connects All Stations And Beat Constables

**Lucknow Police Commissionerate First in UP to Upgrade Wireless Communication Network**

Lucknow: The Lucknow Police Commissionerate has become the first in Uttar Pradesh to connect all police stations and beat constables through an upgraded wireless communication network, significantly enhancing law enforcement coordination across the city.

**Details of the Upgrade**

Previously, the static wireless sets at police stations had a limited range of only three kilometres, while handheld devices operated within just one kilometre. According to DG Telecom Ashutosh Pandey, a total of 1,765 wireless sets have been upgraded, which includes 623 static units and 1,142 handheld devices.

The most notable improvement in the system comes from increasing the number of repeater devices across the city from two to eight. Additionally, all wireless sets have been reprogrammed to operate on a unified network, ensuring seamless connectivity among all police units.

**Enhanced Coordination and Response**

“This upgrade removes earlier communication gaps between distant police units,” said Pandey. He highlighted that now, even police stations located as far apart as BKT and Banthra—roughly 33 kilometres away from each other—can communicate directly via wireless.

Officials explained that the new system will significantly improve coordination and speed up response times. Beat constables can instantly relay crime or emergency information to their respective stations and senior officers, facilitating quicker action.

Furthermore, the direct communication link will aid in better management during public events and law-and-order situations, making police operations more efficient and effective.

**Next Phase in Mathura**

Following Lucknow’s success, the upgraded wireless communication system is slated for implementation in Mathura next. This comes at a crucial time as frequent crowd gatherings in Mathura often lead to disruptions in mobile networks, hindering effective communication.

The deployment of the new system is expected to enhance the police force’s ability to maintain public safety and order during such events.

Mexican authorities investigate vigilante killings of 5 in remote community

Authorities believe residents of a remote community in the mountains of southern Mexico’s Oaxaca state beat five people to death and burned their bodies, the state prosecutor’s office said on Wednesday.

Oaxaca state authorities and the National Guard arrived in the community of Llano Amarillo in Santa Maria Texcatitlan on Tuesday, searching for five missing individuals. They discovered a burned-out vehicle containing the remains of five people, according to a statement from the Oaxaca state prosecutor’s office.

Officials believe the killings occurred on Monday, but forensic investigators were still working to identify the remains.

Preliminary information suggests that the five victims had arrived in the mountain community—located about 125 miles (200 km) from the state capital—on Monday to collect on a high-interest loan from a woman, the prosecutor’s office reported.

Such vigilante killings occasionally occur in Mexico, particularly in remote areas with limited government presence. In March, a mob killed and burned a man who worked as a clown after accusing him of child abuse in another Oaxacan town. Last year, a mob killed a woman accused of being involved in the kidnapping and killing of a girl in Taxco, Guerrero.

A 2019 report from the governmental National Human Rights Commission—the most recent available—described these killings as the most serious expression of public distrust toward authorities and the widespread impunity in the country. The report recorded 271 vigilante killings in 2018 alone.

CBI Brings Back Fugitive Parminder Singh From UAE Via INTERPOL Channels

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has successfully coordinated the return of wanted fugitive Parminder Singh, also known as Nirmal Singh or Pindi, from the UAE through INTERPOL channels.

Parminder Singh was wanted by the Punjab Police in connection with multiple serious offences, including extortion, violations under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act for raising funds for terrorist activities, attempt to murder, and criminal intimidation. He had fled India and was absconding until his recent capture.

The International Police Cooperation Unit (IPCU) of the CBI, in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Abu Dhabi, and Punjab Police, coordinated efforts to bring Parminder Singh back to India on 26 September 2025. Upon his return, he was escorted by a team from Punjab Police.

Earlier, on 13 June 2025, the CBI facilitated the publication of a Red Notice against Parminder Singh through INTERPOL, acting on a request from the Punjab Police. Following his arrest by UAE authorities, a decision was made to extradite him to India.

Red Notices issued by INTERPOL are circulated globally among law enforcement agencies to aid in the tracking and apprehension of wanted criminals. As India’s National Central Bureau for INTERPOL, the CBI coordinates closely with law enforcement agencies across the country through BHARATPOL, ensuring effective assistance via INTERPOL channels.

In recent years, more than 130 wanted criminals have been repatriated to India through successful coordination using these international cooperation mechanisms.
