**Goldy Brar Gangsters Hired to Kill Comedian Munawar Faruqui Arrested**

*By Chanshimla Varah | October 2, 2025, 11:19 AM*

Two alleged members of the notorious Rohit Godara-Goldy Brar-Virender Charan gang were arrested in Delhi on Thursday for allegedly planning to murder stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui.

The suspects, identified as Rahul and Sahil, hail from Panipat and Bhiwani in Haryana. According to police investigations, they were acting under the orders of foreign-based gangster Rohit Godara, who is known to collaborate with Goldy Brar and Virender Charan.

### Investigation Details: Suspects Conducted Recce in Mumbai and Bengaluru

Authorities revealed that the suspects had conducted reconnaissance operations in Mumbai and Bengaluru to track Munawar Faruqui’s movements. Faruqui is not only a prominent comedian but also a popular reality TV star, having won *Bigg Boss* in 2024 and boasting 14.2 million Instagram followers.

Of note, Rahul was already wanted in connection with a triple murder case that occurred in Yamunanagar, Haryana, in December 2024.

### Arrest Operation: How Police Nabbed the Suspects

The police acted swiftly after receiving a tip-off about the presence of the suspected shooters near New Friends Colony. A trap was set up on Kalindi Kunj-Pushta Road, where a suspicious motorcycle was observed around 3:00 AM.

When officers signaled the suspects to stop, they opened fire, triggering an exchange of gunfire. Both Rahul and Sahil sustained gunshot injuries to their legs before being apprehended.

### Evidence and Aftermath

Both injured suspects were immediately rushed to a hospital for treatment. During the operation, the police seized the firearms used in the encounter along with the motorcycle.

This incident comes against a backdrop of increased attacks on celebrities in the region. Just weeks earlier, on September 12, two gunmen on a motorcycle fired shots outside actress Disha Patani’s residence in Bareilly. The Rohit Godara-Goldy Brar gang claimed responsibility for that attack as well.

Authorities continue to investigate the gang’s activities as security measures around public figures are heightened.

Zubeen Garg death case: Manager and organiser held in Delhi

Zubeen Garg’s manager Siddhartha Sharma and festival chief organiser Shyamkanu Mahanta were arrested from Delhi on Wednesday morning in connection with the singer’s death in Singapore last month, Assam Police confirmed.

The duo has been booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including culpable homicide not amounting to murder, criminal conspiracy, and causing death by negligence. Following their arrest, they were brought to Guwahati and produced before the Kamrup Chief Judicial Magistrate’s court, which sent them to 14 days of police custody.

Since the courts were closed for Durga Puja, the hearing took place at the residence of the judge.

Special DGP (CID) Munna Prasad Gupta stated that investigations into the singer’s death will be conducted in accordance with the law. A lookout notice through Interpol had already been issued against both individuals. Based on this notice, immigration authorities detained Mahanta when he arrived at Delhi airport from Singapore and handed him over to Assam Police.

Regarding Sharma, Gupta said, “We tracked his location to Delhi and Rajasthan. Last night, we located him near the Delhi-Haryana border and arrested him.”

The state government recently banned Mahanta, the chief organiser of the North East Festival — which Garg had attended in Singapore before his death — from holding any function or event in Assam.

Zubeen Garg’s wife, Garima Saikia Garg, expressed her full faith in the investigating team and hoped that they would soon uncover what exactly happened.

The Assam government had earlier constituted a 10-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the singer’s death in Singapore, which allegedly occurred due to drowning on September 19.

By: Rahul M | October 02, 2025

**Gandhi Jayanti: Remembering the Father of the Nation**

Gandhi Jayanti, observed annually on October 2, commemorates the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Born on October 2, 1869, in Porbandar, Gujarat, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi played a pivotal role in India’s struggle for independence from British rule.

During the British Raj, Gandhi led numerous campaigns against the colonial government, including the Kheda Satyagraha, Champaran Satyagraha, Salt Satyagraha, Non-Cooperation Movement, and the Quit India Movement. His principles of **ahimsa** (non-violence) and **satyagraha** (truth and civil disobedience) became the moral foundation of India’s freedom struggle.

At the age of 13, Gandhi married Kasturba Gandhi. Despite being considered an average student, he was known for his excellent command of English, though his handwriting was notably poor. One of his greatest contributions was his promotion of self-reliance through the use of **khadi** and the spinning wheel, which symbolized economic independence from British textiles.

Mahatma Gandhi was tragically assassinated in 1948. His funeral procession reportedly extended over 8 kilometers, reflecting the immense love and respect he commanded across the nation.

His legacy continues to inspire millions to uphold the values of peace, truth, and justice.

Fiction: A man revives an old library. Then, one night, he is stabbed to death. Who did it? Why?

Now he will live like a ghost in the library. He will wander between the book racks. He will thicken on the floor like layers of dust. He will lie on the grimy skylights like sunlight. He will stick to the old curtains like dirt.

Why be sad? Whatever happened was fine. I will never step inside that place as long as I live. What if the wretch, even now, clings to my feet like dust? Those stairs, those corridors, that balcony — how can I pluck them out of my mind? How can I wipe those books away from my memories!

Anyway, now bats will make their home among those books. Whatever happened was fine. Absolutely fine. It wasn’t possible for anything else to have happened. Not in the slightest.

It’s not that I’m particularly delighted at everything that happened — no, no, I’m not. Even if I wanted to, I couldn’t say that I am happy with everything that transpired. I really want to be happy about everything that happened. To laugh and keep laughing. To go in every direction, to cover each direction, every tiny particle, with my laughter.

I want to hug everyone I meet. To start laughing suddenly and very loudly. To see my ringing laughter scatter everywhere, wherever I look. To catch sight of my smiling face in the mirror of my own laughter. Of course, I want this. But I can’t.

Despite so desperately wanting to be happy, I am not happy. Yes, I am not sad — of that I am certain. No, I am not sad.

Let me say it again and again: I am not sad. Nor is there a shadow of regret about me. Not even as small as the shadow cast by a flying bird on the green grass. This is the only end he could have had. Exactly this.

Yes, yes, this is exactly what should have happened. What else could have happened to him? What else happens to people like this? He got what he should have got, how was that wrong? This was what was written for him.

The writing has been written from before, and you simply have to surrender yourself to it, silently, without a word. He too submerged himself in it. He slipped and went on slipping. No matter how scary it appears from the outside, it seems so right, so appropriate from the inside.

No matter what anyone says to me, I’m not sad that Vandana also slipped. Even though she did not slip outside of her life, even though her face reflects her disdain, anger, and pity towards me — why just me, towards all of us — even though her voice may have turned lifeless in her eyes, I am not sad that she has become like this.

She trod a path that could have had no other outcome. All by herself, absolutely by herself, despite me, despite all of us, she trod such a path that she had to slip outside of herself.

Why just me? No one will feel bad about it. Everyone has to suffer, Vando rani, badi siyani, very clever; so what if you are my niece, did you think that would save you? Is there anyone who hasn’t suffered? Has anyone ever escaped the wrath of the universe’s power that you would escape it?

Was there anyone whose eyes did not reflect the shamelessness of what she was doing? So much shamelessness in what she kept doing, quietly. How she put my pride, our pride, on the line. The same pride that I, actually all of us, accumulated bit by bit. What about that?

The difficulties we endured to make a place for ourselves in this city. So much hard work. Is there no value to my, rather our, hard work? I stood for hours in trains when I traveled to Kashmir, returning with saffron, and the entire household spent day after day packing it into small boxes. Only then was it ready for sale.

This was a waste for Vandana, all of this. How did she even think she could do what she did with such shamelessness? Oh God, a simple home like ours, and she, she did everything. Did she never think of us, not even once?

Did our ancestors, hanging on the walls of our house for years, with their large moustaches and beards, never cross her mind even once? Did she never think, not even once, what would happen to me, to us, to those ancestors, when she did all that she did?

Where would we hide? How would we show ourselves to the people of this town? Did she have no responsibility towards us? Not even a little bit? Does it fall only to our lot to be responsible? Doesn’t she get to share the responsibility even a bit?

No, no, whatever happened to her should have happened. This is how it was ordained by destiny, this is how it should have been ordained by destiny. I’m not at all sad about it. The people of the town are with me, my ancestors are with me, the sun and the stars are with me.

Look, no one is mourning that she faltered, no one is shedding any tears over the way she has turned silent, mute. In the end, everything broke the way it had to break.

Oh! My left eye, this stupid eye, why is it blinking convulsively, what am I babbling on about, and why, why?

Soft whispers fly about in every corner of the hall. The back door opens a crack, less than halfway through, and a manlike shape seems to slip through that opening and come inside.

On the stage, an empty chair slowly rocks back and forth like a shadow.

Zoho’s Arattai still missing key privacy feature available on WhatsApp

**Zoho’s Arattai Still Missing Key Privacy Feature Available on WhatsApp**
*By Akash Pandey | Oct 01, 2025, 06:20 PM*

Zoho Corporation’s homegrown messaging app, Arattai, has been gaining traction in the Indian market and is being positioned as a potential competitor to the Meta-owned WhatsApp. However, privacy-conscious users have identified a significant shortcoming: Arattai currently lacks default end-to-end encryption (E2EE) for standard messages. This gap could prove to be a major disadvantage compared to WhatsApp and other popular messaging platforms that offer comprehensive encryption.

### Privacy Commitment: Partial Encryption Available

Despite missing E2EE for regular messages, Zoho promotes Arattai as a privacy-first service with all user data stored securely within India. The app does offer end-to-end encryption for voice and video calls, and there is also a ‘secret chat’ feature designed for secure messaging. Zoho has indicated that full E2EE implementation for all messages is forthcoming.

### User Concerns and Response

Many users have expressed frustration over the absence of default E2EE for standard chats, highlighting that it leaves a large portion of conversations vulnerable. Addressing these concerns, Arattai’s official account on X acknowledged the issue and assured users that the team is actively working to roll out end-to-end encryption for all chats soon.

### What Is Arattai?

Developed by Chennai-based Zoho Corporation, Arattai is a free-to-use, cross-platform instant messaging app. It offers a variety of features including text and voice messaging, audio and video calls, media sharing, story posting, and group chats. The app supports up to five linked devices per account, allowing messages, contacts, and settings to sync seamlessly across smartphones, tablets, and desktops.

### Challenges Ahead: Competing with WhatsApp

Since its launch in 2021, Arattai has recently climbed to the top of app charts on both the App Store and Google Play Store. Nonetheless, maintaining this momentum could be challenging. WhatsApp remains deeply embedded in Indian life, with over 500 million users relying on it daily for personal communication, commerce, and government services. Its vast network effects and expanding business platform provide a significant competitive advantage over emerging rivals like Arattai.

While Arattai is making strides as an Indian alternative to WhatsApp, addressing key privacy features like default end-to-end encryption will be crucial for winning users’ trust and sustaining growth in a highly competitive market.
