‘Stranger Asked For Nude Pics’: Akshay Kumar Reveals Daughter’s Disturbing Online Game Incident; Warns Parents Of Cyber Threats

**Mumbai: Akshay Kumar Shares Disturbing Incident Involving Daughter’s Online Gaming Experience**

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, who is known for keeping his personal life private, recently opened up about a troubling experience involving his 13-year-old daughter during a cyber awareness program. The actor revealed how an unknown individual tried to target his daughter while she was playing an online video game.

### Harmless Messages Turned Threatening

Kumar recounted, “A few months ago, my daughter was playing an online game. Some games allow interaction with strangers. While she was playing, she received messages like ‘Thank you,’ ‘That was great,’ ‘You’re doing so well,’ ‘Fantastic’ – very courteous messages that seemed harmless.”

However, the tone of the conversation soon changed. “Suddenly, the person asked where she was from. She replied, ‘Mumbai.’ The conversation continued politely at first, but then the stranger asked, ‘Are you male or female?’ She answered, ‘Female.’ Shockingly, the stranger then requested her to send nude pictures,” Akshay shared.

### Quick Action Prevented a Potential Threat

Thankfully, Nitara immediately closed the game and informed her mother, Twinkle Khanna, about the incident. Akshay praised his daughter’s quick thinking and her courage to share the matter with her parents.

“This is exactly how such incidents start. Children are often trapped online, later extorted for money, and in many cases, these crimes have even led to suicides,” Kumar warned.

### Call for Cyber Awareness

The actor urged parents to closely monitor their children’s online activities and highlighted the importance of awareness regarding the dangers lurking on gaming and social platforms.

“Parents must educate their children, supervise online interactions, and teach them how to respond to strangers in digital spaces,” he emphasized.

Akshay Kumar’s revelation serves as a crucial reminder about the need for vigilance and education to keep children safe in today’s digital world.

Mumbai News: CM Devendra Fadnavis Launches Cyber Awareness Month, Urges Citizens To Report Frauds Within ‘Golden Hour’

**Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis Stresses Timely Reporting of Cyber Frauds During “Cyber Awareness Month – October 2025″**

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday emphasized that timely reporting of cyber frauds is as crucial as saving accident victims during the “Golden Hour.” He urged citizens to immediately lodge complaints through helplines 1930 or 1945 to increase the chances of recovering stolen money.

The CM was speaking at the inauguration of **“Cyber Awareness Month – October 2025”** held at the Maharashtra Police Headquarters in Mumbai. The event witnessed the presence of DGP Rashmi Shukla, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Iqbal Singh Chahal, Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Rani Mukherjee, Dr. Farooq Kazi of VJTI, Prof. Manjesh Hanwal of IIT Mumbai, and senior police officials.

### Cybercrime: The Biggest Challenge of the Digital Age

Fadnavis highlighted that cybercrime is one of the biggest threats of the digital era, stressing that prevention is as important as punishment. He cautioned against the growing misuse of AI technologies such as phishing, OTP fraud, deepfakes, voice and face cloning.

“Every online transaction, social media activity, or acceptance of cookies carries the risk of data misuse, which can lead to extortion, cyberbullying, and fraud,” he warned.

### Technology: Both a Threat and a Solution

Highlighting Maharashtra’s investment in world-class cyber labs and response centres, Fadnavis underlined the importance of swift complaint registration.

“Technology itself is a threat, but technology alone is also the solution. Every digital crime leaves behind a digital fingerprint,” he said.

He also raised concern about cyberspace being used to spread propaganda. “Cyberspace not only connects people; it can hack your mind. The new danger is planting anarchist ideas in a very personalised way,” he added, referring to the emerging threat of “urban Maoism.”

### Need for Cyber Awareness in Schools

Fadnavis underlined the significant roles of parents, teachers, and communicators in educating youth about digital safety. He suggested including cyber security in school curriculums as a “revolutionary step” toward building a safer digital future.

### Akshay Kumar Shares Personal Experience

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar shared a personal incident involving his family. He revealed that his daughter once received inappropriate messages from a stranger while playing an online game.

“Thankfully, she reported it to her mother immediately. But such incidents don’t always get reported. Cyber security should be taught in schools just like history and mathematics,” he stated passionately.

With cyber threats evolving rapidly, Maharashtra’s initiative to raise awareness and improve reporting mechanisms aims to safeguard citizens in the digital age. Citizens are encouraged to stay vigilant and report suspicious activities through the dedicated helplines promptly.

Zoho’s Arattai still missing key privacy feature available on WhatsApp

**Zoho’s Arattai Still Missing Key Privacy Feature Available on WhatsApp**
*By Akash Pandey | Oct 01, 2025, 06:20 PM*

Zoho Corporation’s homegrown messaging app, Arattai, has been gaining traction in the Indian market and is being positioned as a potential competitor to the Meta-owned WhatsApp. However, privacy-conscious users have identified a significant shortcoming: Arattai currently lacks default end-to-end encryption (E2EE) for standard messages. This gap could prove to be a major disadvantage compared to WhatsApp and other popular messaging platforms that offer comprehensive encryption.

### Privacy Commitment: Partial Encryption Available

Despite missing E2EE for regular messages, Zoho promotes Arattai as a privacy-first service with all user data stored securely within India. The app does offer end-to-end encryption for voice and video calls, and there is also a ‘secret chat’ feature designed for secure messaging. Zoho has indicated that full E2EE implementation for all messages is forthcoming.

### User Concerns and Response

Many users have expressed frustration over the absence of default E2EE for standard chats, highlighting that it leaves a large portion of conversations vulnerable. Addressing these concerns, Arattai’s official account on X acknowledged the issue and assured users that the team is actively working to roll out end-to-end encryption for all chats soon.

### What Is Arattai?

Developed by Chennai-based Zoho Corporation, Arattai is a free-to-use, cross-platform instant messaging app. It offers a variety of features including text and voice messaging, audio and video calls, media sharing, story posting, and group chats. The app supports up to five linked devices per account, allowing messages, contacts, and settings to sync seamlessly across smartphones, tablets, and desktops.

### Challenges Ahead: Competing with WhatsApp

Since its launch in 2021, Arattai has recently climbed to the top of app charts on both the App Store and Google Play Store. Nonetheless, maintaining this momentum could be challenging. WhatsApp remains deeply embedded in Indian life, with over 500 million users relying on it daily for personal communication, commerce, and government services. Its vast network effects and expanding business platform provide a significant competitive advantage over emerging rivals like Arattai.

While Arattai is making strides as an Indian alternative to WhatsApp, addressing key privacy features like default end-to-end encryption will be crucial for winning users’ trust and sustaining growth in a highly competitive market.

Azim Premji Declines Karnataka CM’s Request To Allow Public Vehicles Through Wipro Campus

**Wipro Founder Azim Premji Declines CM Siddaramaiah’s Request to Allow Vehicular Movement Through Company Campus**

*Bengaluru:* Wipro founder chairman Azim Premji has declined Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s request to allow limited vehicular movement through the company’s Sarjapur campus in Bengaluru. Premji stated that the campus is exclusive private property owned by a listed company and is not meant to serve as a public thoroughfare.

Premji explained that permitting public vehicular movement through the Wipro campus would pose “significant legal, governance, and statutory challenges.”

On September 19, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had written to Premji exploring “the possibility of allowing limited vehicular movement through the Wipro campus, subject to mutually agreed terms and necessary security considerations.” He noted that preliminary assessments by traffic and urban mobility experts indicated such a measure could reduce congestion on adjoining stretches of the Outer Ring Road (ORR) by nearly 30%, especially during peak office hours.

In his letter, Siddaramaiah emphasized, “Your support in this matter will go a long way in easing traffic bottlenecks, enhancing commuter experience, and contributing to a more efficient and livable Bengaluru. I would greatly appreciate it if your team could engage with our officials to work out a mutually acceptable plan at the earliest.”

Responding on Wednesday, Premji appreciated the Chief Minister’s leadership on addressing Bengaluru’s critical traffic congestion but highlighted the challenges involved.

“With respect to the specific suggestion of allowing public vehicular movement through our Sarjapur campus, we apprehend significant legal, governance, and statutory challenges since it is an exclusive private property owned by a listed company not intended for public thoroughfare,” he wrote.

He further added that the Sarjapur campus is a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) providing services to global customers. As a result, contractual obligations mandate stringent, non-negotiable access control norms for governance and compliance.

Premji noted that public vehicular movement through private property is unlikely to be an effective, sustainable long-term solution.

“Wipro nevertheless stands committed to partner with the Government of Karnataka to find a lasting solution for Bengaluru’s mobility challenges,” he affirmed, emphasizing the importance of a collaborative and data-driven approach for the city’s best interests.

Highlighting the urgency of the traffic situation, especially along the Outer Ring Road — a major export-oriented economic hub — Premji acknowledged the complexity of the problem. “The problem’s complexity, stemming from multiple factors, suggests that there is unlikely to be a single point solution or a silver bullet to resolve it,” he observed.

He proposed commissioning a comprehensive, scientific study conducted by an entity with world-class expertise in urban transport management. This study would help develop a holistic roadmap featuring effective solutions for the short, medium, and long term.

“To demonstrate our commitment to being a part of the solution, Wipro will be pleased to engage in this process and underwrite a significant portion of the cost for this expert study,” Premji added.

The Outer Ring Road has long been plagued by severe traffic congestion and poor road conditions, making daily commutes challenging. The issue gained attention when BlackBuck CEO and co-founder Rajesh Yabaji publicly announced on social media platform ‘X’ that his company would relocate from the ORR (Bellandur area). He cited the average commute time increasing by one-and-a-half hours one way, along with roads full of potholes and dust.

Yabaji lamented the “lowest intent to get them rectified” and expressed skepticism about any improvement, stating, “Didn’t see any of this changing in the next 5 years.”
