Mavericks’ Anthony Davis to miss at least 2 games with calf strain

Dallas Mavericks star Anthony Davis will miss the team’s next two games due to an injury, the team announced on Friday.

Davis sustained a low-grade calf strain during the first quarter of Wednesday’s 107-105 win over the Indiana Pacers. As a result, he will be sidelined for the upcoming matchups.

The Mavericks are scheduled to play the Detroit Pistons on Saturday in Mexico City, followed by a game against the Houston Rockets on Monday night. Davis is expected to be re-evaluated ahead of Wednesday’s home game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Earlier this morning, Yash and the producers of *Toxic* reconfirmed that the much-anticipated fairy tale for adults will hit the big screen as scheduled in March 2026, coinciding with the Eid 2026 period.

However, in a surprising turn of events, the industry is abuzz with reports of a delay in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next film, *Love and War*. Reliable sources have confirmed that *Love and War* will miss its Eid 2026 release date, thereby avoiding a clash with Yash’s epic, *Toxic*.

**BREAKING:** Ranbir Kapoor’s *Love and War* bows out of Eid 2026 clash with Yash’s *Toxic*; to release post-June 2026

“It’s a blessing in disguise, as it made no sense for two Pan-Indian films to clash on the same date,” a trusted source told Bollywood Hungama. “*Love and War* is running significantly behind its shooting schedule and is now expected to release in the second half of 2026.”

The source further revealed, “About 75 days of shooting still remains, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali has requested Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal to allot bulk dates until Summer 2026 to wrap up the film.”

Currently, *Love and War* is approximately 40 days behind schedule. The earliest possible release window is now June 2026 or later. Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Leela Bhansali will soon make an official announcement regarding the delay.

This postponement also helps avert the off-screen clash between Ranbir Kapoor and Yash, ahead of their much-anticipated on-screen rivalry in *Ramayana*. Contrary to earlier speculations, it is Ranbir Kapoor’s film that is missing the Eid 2026 date, not Yash’s.

Meanwhile, *Toxic* remains firmly on track. “The makers are super confident about their product,” the source added. “It is one of the rare Indian films to be shot in both Kannada and English.”
