Ilja Dragunov Called Out For Dangerous Potentially Career Ending Spot On WWE SmackDown By Veteran: “His Head Hit”

Ilja Dragunov has recently come under scrutiny for what some are calling dangerous wrestling, following moves that could have potentially ended his opponent’s career on WWE SmackDown. Several moments from his matches have been highlighted as particularly concerning.

Stevie Richards addressed these concerns on *The Stevie Richards Show*, expressing that there is something inherently risky about the way Dragunov competes. He specifically pointed to Dragunov’s match against Nathan Frazer on WWE SmackDown, describing a move that could have had serious consequences.

Richards recalled a moment where Dragunov executed a suplex, causing Frazer to land badly on the outside of the ring. He commented, “This here gives me vibes of Ridge Holland and Big E. Why are you giving any suplexes like this on the floor? Why? And he says nothing personal before he does it.” This remark references a similar spot between Big E and Ridge Holland that unfortunately ended Big E’s in-ring career.

Furthermore, Richards described the move as a “Chris Benoit German Suplex,” a dangerous type of suplex where there is no “give” in the landing. He explained, “There is no protection for this. This is a Benoit German Suplex. Now, he didn’t land him on top of his head, but it’s still a no-give, German suplex. Only this side of the audience here sees it. Now, for TV, it’s whatever, but you still have a live crowd.”

Richards also highlighted another perilous moment during the match where Nathan Frazer landed on his head after a rushed German suplex from the top rope. “He’s not ready. You already knew what was going to happen. He’s not ready. Look how close in slow-mo. His head hit. There’s no missing there. His head hit,” he stated.

Following this spot, Frazer collapsed in the ring, and the match ended shortly afterwards.

Currently, Ilja Dragunov is in the midst of an open challenge series on WWE SmackDown, where he regularly defends his United States Championship against different opponents each week. Despite his popularity and in-ring skill, these recent incidents have raised questions about the safety and risks involved in some of his high-impact moves.

Mamdani Will Ravage the Entire State

**Zohran Mamdani’s Win Should Send Tremors Far Beyond New York City**
*By Betsy McCaughey*

Zohran Mamdani’s victory Tuesday should send shockwaves far beyond New York City. A Mamdani win will likely ignite wholesale legislative attacks on property owners, charter schools, law enforcement, and businesses across the entire state of New York. From Buffalo to Amagansett, no sector will be spared.

In New York, the critical decisions about criminal law, education, rent laws, and taxation are made at the state level—not locally. Mamdani and the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) will be calling the shots not only at City Hall but also in Albany. New Yorkers, brace yourselves for radical laws and huge tax hikes.

Mamdani, currently a member of the New York State Assembly from Queens until he is sworn in as mayor, already secured endorsements from the state’s top legislative leaders and sizable blocs within both the Assembly and Senate—27 Assembly members and 16 state senators—before his victory. His triumph elevates him to national prominence and positions him as the de facto head of the Democratic Party in New York State, wielding far more influence than Governor Kathy Hochul.

With Hochul’s approval ratings at a historic low, she is now desperately seeking Mamdani’s favor to curry goodwill with the Left. Mamdani’s clout at the Capitol means moderate Democrats are likely to fall in line “to enact a lot of his wish list,” reports Democratic Assemblyman Jake Blumencranz from Long Island. Blumencranz calls it “a perfect storm” set to impact the entire state.

### A Radical Criminal Justice Agenda

At the top of the DSA’s list—and Mamdani’s agenda—is aggressive decarceration that would put criminals back on the streets. Pro-criminal DSA legislators led efforts to pass the “Less is More” Act in 2021, a law that allows violent criminals who violate parole (for example, by using drugs) to remain free.

This law partly explains why Jamel McGriff, who was allegedly violating parole, was able to invade the home of an elderly Queens couple last September, torture them to death, and set their house on fire with them inside.

DSA legislators are also pushing bills to decriminalize prostitution under the state Senate bill titled “Cecilia’s Act for Rights in the Sex Trade” and to eliminate all criminal and civil penalties for possession of illegal drugs.

Mamdani ally and state Sen. Zellnor Myrie backs a bill, already passed in the Assembly, to extend youthful offender status to alleged criminals ages 19 to 25. This would spare them from a criminal conviction and seal their arrest record, magnifying the mistake made by the 2019 “Raise the Age” legislation—which shifted the criminal responsibility age from 16 to 18.

New York City Police Department Commissioner Jessica Tisch warns that “Raise the Age” has led to a quadrupling of homicides committed by juveniles and an 81% increase in juveniles being shot. Violent teens under 18 who commit heinous crimes receive merely a slap on the wrist in family court, and they soon return to offend again.

Mamdani’s allies in Albany are poised to worsen this situation by letting violent criminals in their 20s off the hook. It’s a dangerous and reckless approach.

### Hostility Toward Charter Schools

Mamdani and the DSA are fierce opponents of charter schools. They would rather see thousands of low-income and minority students languish in district schools assigned by geography—schools many consider “failure factories.”

Decisions about increasing charter schools are controlled in Albany by the State University of New York (SUNY) trustees, who generally support charters, and the SUNY Board of Regents, appointed by the legislature and heavily influenced by teachers unions aligned with the Democratic Party.

State Senate Bill 6800, sponsored by Mamdani ally Assemblywoman Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn of Brooklyn, would strip SUNY trustees of their charter powers, effectively leaving charter schools vulnerable to the hostile Board of Regents. The biggest losers in this battle will be the students.

### Targeting Property Owners and Renters

Property owners are squarely in the DSA’s crosshairs. The party aims to expand rent regulation—which many argue has caused severe housing shortages and dilapidated properties in New York City—to the entire state through state Senate Bill 4659. Furthermore, they seek to extend rent regulations to commercial properties such as stores via Senate Bill 8319.

### Ambitious Tax Hikes and Costly Freebies

As a candidate, Mamdani promised free bus rides, free child care, and other costly benefits—expenses he wants the entire state to fund. His campaign proposed hiking the state’s corporate tax rate by almost half, to 11.5%.

Mamdani ally state Sen. Brad Hoylman-Sigal has already introduced a bill to increase corporate taxes, though by a somewhat lesser amount.

However, corporate taxes ultimately affect employees and customers—not just business owners—and tend to stifle economic growth. New York State already ranks dead last (50th out of 50) in economic outlook, largely due to its notoriously high tax burden.

How much worse can it get? Mamdani’s appetite for money as mayor threatens to drain the state’s resources further.

### Call to Action: Mobilize Now

Now is the time to mobilize a statewide counteroffensive to prevent a socialist takeover of state government. Do not wait for next year’s statewide elections.

Leaders in the nonprofit sector, including the Business Council, the Chamber of Commerce of Greater New York, and the New York State Bar Association, need to flood the state legislature with warnings and provide reinforcements to the vastly outnumbered Republicans and beleaguered moderate Democrats.

Mamdani may have won in New York City, but the real battle is moving to Albany.

Lifecore Biomedical: A Disconnect Between Share Price And Business Progress

**Lifecore Biomedical: A Disconnect Between Share Price and Business Progress**
*Nov. 09, 2025 | 7:15 PM ET*

Lifecore Biomedical, Inc. (LFCR) provides a clear example of good news met with a negative market reaction. Despite positive developments, the market reacted as though LFCR had just sold all $150 million in stock at once, causing shares to drop more than 10% on the news.

One of the key growth drivers for Lifecore is the company’s recent addition of a GLP-1 opportunity, among other advancements. This new venture has the potential to significantly increase revenues and fully utilize the current annual unit capacity of 45,000.

At present, LFCR is valued at approximately $46 per share, which is roughly six times the current trading price. This significant discrepancy highlights a disconnect between the company’s actual business progress and its share price.

The following insights were excerpted from the Greenhaven Road Capital Main Fund Q3 2025 Investor Letter. Last quarter’s letter emphasized that, while the companies held by the fund possess high intrinsic and expected value, market pricing has not yet reflected these fundamentals.

Drake Maye Sends Clear Message on Bills After Patriots Extend Division Lead

The New England Patriots have extended their lead in the AFC East Division over the Buffalo Bills, moving to an 8-2 record after upsetting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road Sunday. Meanwhile, the Bills fell to 6-3 following a blowout loss to the Miami Dolphins in Miami.

New England now holds a 1.5-game edge over Buffalo, who have won the division each of the last five years. Patriots quarterback Drake Maye participated in a sideline interview after his team’s seventh consecutive victory. During the interview, CBS Sports reporter Tracy Wolfson asked Maye about Buffalo’s recent defeat.

“We’re not worried about Buffalo,” Maye responded. “We’re worried about Thursday night. We got a big one.”

Looking ahead, New England will host the New York Jets, another AFC East Division opponent, on November 13. The Jets secured their second win of the season on Sunday by defeating the visiting Cleveland Browns 27-20.

The Patriots and Bills won’t face each other again until Week 15 on December 14. New England won the first matchup back in Week 5 in Buffalo by a tight 23-20 score.

Maye, who is already in the conversation alongside Bills quarterback Josh Allen for the NFL MVP award in just his second professional season, was 22 of 30 passing for 273 yards in that crucial road victory over Buffalo.

In the Patriots’ Week 10 win over the Buccaneers, Maye completed 16 of 31 pass attempts for 270 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. He entered the Sunday contest leading the league with a 74.1 percent completion percentage. Across nine games played, Maye has amassed 2,285 passing yards, 17 touchdowns, and four interceptions.

As the Patriots continue their impressive run, all eyes will be on Maye as he leads New England toward their next big test.

One Arrested After Vehicle Owner Tracks Stolen Car To Santa Clarita

A man was arrested Saturday night after the owner of a stolen vehicle tracked it to Santa Clarita and found several people allegedly taking items out of it.

The vehicle had initially been reported stolen to the Los Angeles Police Department, according to Sgt. Justin Boosalis with the SCV Sheriff’s Station. Instead of waiting for officers to recover it, the owner began tracking the car on his own and drove to its location in Canyon Country.

At around 8:13 p.m., the owner called the SCV Sheriff’s Station from Whites Canyon Rd. & Ranier St., reporting that multiple people were taking belongings from the vehicle as he attempted to retrieve it.

“When they showed up, there was someone removing stuff from their car,” said Sgt. Boosalis. “When we showed up, they arrested one guy and detained several others.”

Deputies said the owner was able to get his car back while waiting for law enforcement to arrive. Four individuals were detained, and one man was arrested and taken to the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station.

Donald Trump plans to be the 1st sitting US president at a regular-season NFL game since 1978

LANDOVER, Md. (AP) — Extra security measures were in place hours before the Washington Commanders’ game against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, as President Donald Trump planned to become the first sitting president in nearly a half-century to attend a regular-season NFL contest.

Officers in black uniforms identifying them as members of the U.S. Secret Service joined military, police, and other guards inside and outside Northwest Stadium. There were more fences than usual blocking sidewalks, and some pathways were restricted to ensure security.

According to the league, only two other sitting presidents have attended an NFL game during the regular season: Richard Nixon in 1969 and Jimmy Carter in 1978. Trump also became the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl when he watched the Philadelphia Eagles defeat the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in February.

Trump was expected to sit with principal owner Josh Harris, the leader of the group that purchased the Commanders from Daniel Snyder for about $6 billion in 2023. In a report by ESPN on Saturday, an intermediary for the White House revealed that Trump wants the club’s new stadium—part of a nearly $4 billion development project at the site of the former RFK Stadium in the nation’s capital—to bear his name.

“That would surely be a beautiful name,” Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said.

Sunday’s visit to Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland, was the latest in a series of high-profile appearances by Trump at sporting events including golf’s Ryder Cup, auto racing’s Daytona 500, and tennis’ U.S. Open.

“We are honored to welcome President Trump to the game as we celebrate those who have served and continue to serve our country,” said Commanders club president Mark Clouse. “The entire Commanders organization is proud to participate in the NFL’s league-wide Salute to Service initiative, recognizing the dedication and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans, active-duty service members, and their families this Sunday.”

There has been friction between Trump and the NFL during his first presidential term, notably when he objected to players kneeling during the national anthem to protest social or racial injustice. This movement began in 2016 with then-San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Israel confirms receiving the remains of a soldier killed in Gaza in 2014

**Israel Receives Remains of Soldier Killed in 2014 Gaza Conflict, Closing a Painful Chapter**

*Tel Aviv, Israel (AP)* — Israel on Sunday confirmed it had received the remains of Hadar Goldin, a soldier killed in the Gaza Strip in 2014, closing a painful chapter for the country.

Goldin, 23, was killed two hours after a ceasefire took effect during that year’s war between Israel and Hamas. His family waged a public campaign for 11 years to bring home his remains, and earlier this year, they marked 4,000 days since his body was taken.

Israel’s military had long determined that Goldin had been killed based on evidence found in the tunnel where his remains were taken, including a blood-soaked shirt and prayer fringes. Until now, his remains had been the only ones left in Gaza predating the current war between Israel and Hamas.

The remains of four hostages taken in the Hamas-led attack on October 7, 2023—which sparked the latest conflict—are still in Gaza.

**Significant Development Amid Faltering Truce**

The return of Goldin’s remains represents a significant development in the U.S.-brokered truce, which has faltered amidst the slow return of hostage bodies and skirmishes between Israeli troops and militants in Gaza.

Dozens gathered along intersections to pay their respects as a police convoy transported the remains to the national forensic institute. Later, many more gathered outside the home of Goldin’s parents. They noted the “many disappointments” faced over the years and emphasized that Israel’s military—and “not anyone else”—had brought their son home, an apparent criticism of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

At the weekly Cabinet meeting, Netanyahu acknowledged the prolonged agony endured by Goldin’s family, stating the return would allow them to give him a Jewish burial.

Earlier this year, Israel also recovered the remains of Oron Shaul, another soldier killed in 2014.

**Jared Kushner Returns to Israel to Aid Ceasefire Efforts**

Jared Kushner, U.S. President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and a key adviser, has returned to Israel to help advance ceasefire negotiations, according to a source familiar with the matter who requested anonymity due to the visit not being publicly announced.

Kushner was a principal architect of Washington’s 20-point ceasefire plan. The deal, which took effect on October 10, centers on halting the fighting in its first phase, releasing all hostages, and boosting humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Details of the second phase—including deploying an international security force, disarming Hamas, and governing postwar Gaza—have yet to be finalized.

A source close to the negotiations shared that Kushner was working to secure safe passage for 150–200 trapped Hamas militants in exchange for their surrender of weapons after the release of Goldin’s remains.

Israeli media have previously reported that Hamas delayed releasing Goldin’s body, hoping to negotiate safe passage for militants surrounded by Israeli forces in Rafah.

However, Gila Gamliel, Israel’s minister of innovation, science, and technology and a member of Netanyahu’s Likud party, told Army Radio that Israel was not negotiating any deal within a deal.

“There are agreements whose implementation is guaranteed by the mediators, and we shouldn’t allow anyone to come now and play games or reopen the agreement,” she said.

Hamas has made no public comment on a possible exchange for fighters stuck in the so-called “yellow zone,” controlled by Israeli forces, while acknowledging ongoing clashes there.

**A Mother’s Pain and Resilience**

Goldin’s family previously held what his mother, Leah Goldin, described as a “pseudo-funeral,” urged by Israel’s military rabbis. But the lingering uncertainty was like “a knife constantly making new cuts.”

Earlier this year, Leah Goldin told The Associated Press that returning her son’s body held deep ethical and religious importance, representing part of the sacrosanct pact Israel makes with its citizens who are required by law to serve in the military.

“Hadar is a soldier who went to combat and they abandoned him, and they destroyed his humanitarian rights and ours as well,” she said.

Leah also shared that her family often felt alone in their struggle to bring Hadar—a talented artist who had just become engaged—home for burial.

Following the October 7 attack, the Goldin family sought to help hundreds of families whose loved ones were taken into Gaza. Initially, they found themselves shunned as advocacy for the hostages surged.

“We were a symbol of failure,” Leah Goldin recalled. “They told us, ‘We aren’t like you, our kids will come back soon.’”

**Palestinian Remains Returned Amid Hostage Releases**

For each Israeli hostage returned, Israel has reportedly released the remains of 15 Palestinians.

Ahmed Dheir, director of forensic medicine at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, said that the remains of 300 Palestinians have now been returned, with 89 identified.

The October 7 attack killed approximately 1,200 people in southern Israel—mostly civilians—and resulted in 251 people being kidnapped.

On Saturday, Gaza’s Health Ministry reported the number of Palestinians killed in Gaza has risen to 69,176.

The ministry, part of the Hamas-run government and staffed by medical professionals, maintains detailed records that are generally considered reliable by independent experts.
