The Philadelphia Eagles dominated the Dallas Cowboys for a quarter and a half, building a 21-0 lead and looking like they would cruise to an easy win. They proceeded to blow their three-score lead over the next two and a half quarters, and took their third loss of the season. As always, win, lose, or tie, we hand out 10 awards. 1) The ‘Foot Off the Gas’ Award ⛽: Nick Sirianni The Eagles had a good offensive gameplan heading into this matchup. Jalen Hurts was finding open receivers in the intermediate areas of the field, A. J. Brown was involved, the tempo and pace was crisp, and there were results, as they quickly put 21 points on the board. They almost looked a little like the team that went to the Super Bowl in 2022 or the one that won it all in 2024, when things were clicking. But once they got a big lead, the Eagles’ offensive approach very clearly shifted. They started calling more conversative plays, whether that was running the ball into heavy boxes, or calling short passes unlikely to lead to explosive plays. Several Eagles players credited the Cowboys for adjusting, and Nick Sirianni disagreed that the offense took their foot off the gas. “I didn’t think so,” Sirianni said. “I don’t know what the run: pass ratio was in the second half. You guys could probably tell me that a little bit better. Obviously, we’re trying to be a balanced attack, so again, we’ll have to look at ourselves and look at the schemes, and then we’re going to look at the execution and see what the issue were. We just weren’t very efficient as an offense in that second half. “I didn’t really feel that we took our foot off the gas.” Their play calls would say otherwise: Their three touchdown drives early in the game were jump-started by passing. • TD drive No. 1: First two plays, 6 yard pass to Brown, followed by a 10 yard pass to Brown. • TD drive No. 2: This drive actually stalled initially (it started with a run), but the Eagles were basically gifted a second possession when the Cowboys roughed punter Braden Mann. On their second chance, first play, their drive got going with a 13-yard pass to Brown. • TD drive No. 3: First play, pass to Saquon Barkley for 16 yards. The Eagles had mismatches all over the field against the Cowboys’ secondary, and they simply stopped exploiting them once they got a big lead. Sirianni also decided not to try for points at the end of the first half, with 17 seconds left, two timeouts, and the ball at the 28 yard line. The Eagles employ three talented receivers in A. J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert, who are all good at making contested catches, as well as gobbling up yards after the catch. Even if it may not be a super high percentage likelihood that you’ll end up with points in that scenario, it’s at least worth trying. It’s certainly far more likely that you’ll score points than if something were to go horribly wrong and the defense would end up with points instead. But Sirianni has consistently turtled up in those situations all season. “17 seconds, I won’t get into where our cutoff is, the ball was on the 28 yard line,” he explained. “If you look through a lot of that stuff, I’ve looked at all of those throughout the last 15 years, and that was the decision I made to go with that particular one. “A lot of things happen when you’re in those scenarios when you’re against the clock. We tried to run it to see if we could bounce one out of there, and see what happened after that, and we didn’t get anything there, so we let the clock run out there. “And they had their timeouts as well, and their kicker can make it from long range. We had a 21-7 lead, and that’s what I decided to do at that particular time.” Wait, what? The Cowboys had their timeouts and they have a good kicker? That’s part of the reason? Unless the Eagles are calling spike plays or kneeldowns, there’s no scenario where they can run four plays in under 17 seconds and the Cowboys have a chance to kick a field goal. 2) The ‘Can’t Choke ‘Em Out Like We Used To’ Award 🙁: The Eagles’ run game As noted above, the Eagles tried to run it a lot once they got a lead. That would have been fine if they’ve been choking teams out with the run game like they did all year in 2024. But they’re not that team anymore. They’re just not. Barkley carried 10 times for 22 yards. “We have to do a better job of putting teams away, and we didn’t do that,” Barkley said. “I definitely didn’t help. At the end of games last year I was a big part of that. I have to figure it out for the team.” The Eagles put a lot of mileage on Barkley in 2024. Including the playoffs, he got an astronomical 482 touches. That was the third-highest number of touches in a single season since 2000. Barkley aside, there have been 17 players who have had 430 or more touches in a single season during that span. Here are those players, with their yards per carry during their heavy workload season, and their yards per carry in their follow-up seasons: As you can see, there’s a clear pattern of drop-off the following seaosn. I’m sure the Eagles have no regrets with their usage of Barkley last season, and neither should anyone else. I mean, they rode him to a Super Bowl. But, Barkley had 5. 8 yards per carry in 2024. He has 3. 8 yards per carry in 2025. Yes, the offensive line isn’t playing as well as it did a year ago, but Barkley himself also seems to be feeling the effect of that workload. 3) The ‘Things That Require No Talent, Unmastered’ Award 🚩: The 14 penalties the Eagles committed One of Sirianni’s mantras this season has been “Master the things that require no talent.” The Eagles committed 14 (!) penalties. Some penalties happen as a result of players competing and trying to make plays. Those are going to happen. But the Eagles also had a bunch of dead ball or procedural penalties that were unforced by the Cowboys. • Cam Jurgens had a false start that helped kill a drive. • Matt Pryor lined up incorrectly and was called for an illegal formation penalty, wiping out a 20-yard pass to Goedert and helping kill a drive. • A. J. Brown had a false start that helped kill a drive. You simply can’t have three drives at least partially killed by completely avoidable penalties. 4) The ‘Take This Game, Please’ Award 🎁: The Cowboys The Cowboys were an absolute mess to start this game. • On offense CeeDee Lamb had multiple drops, and KaVontae Turpin fumbled without an Eagle defender even touching him. • On defense, the Cowboys’ secondary couldn’t cover one of the most coverable passing offenses in the league. • Their special teams units committed an idiotic roughing the punter penalty that gave the Eagles a new set of downs that led to a touchdown. This game should have been a blowout. It’s not like this was some good team that played well. It was a mediocre team that was playing badly. But the Eagles let the Cowboys stay in it, and eventually Dallas played better and stole a win. 5) The ‘Wasted Performance’ Award 🚮: A. J. Brown and DeVonta Smith Brown looked as good on the eye test as he has all year, in my opinion. He had 8 catches for 110 yards and a TD. Smith also made this ridiculous catch: He finished with 6 catches for 89 yards. They both probably could have gone for over 150 apiece if the Eagles’ offensive staff kept feeding them. 6) The ‘WTF Are You Doing’ Award 🫤: Xavier Gipson Forget the fumble, which was obviously an egregious mistake in that situation. But why are you even fielding this punt?! I’m not normally a “Cut him” guy, but, I mean, cut him. Like, why is this guy on the roster over Britain Covey? 7) The ‘Too Many Bailouts’ Award 🤷♂️: The Eagles’ defense The Eagles’ defense is likely to take criticism for this loss, but the reality is that they produced two turnovers (four if you include the Cowboys’ two turnovers of downs) and held one of the most potent offenses in the NFL to 24 points, despite the offense’s inability to a damn thing from the middle of the second quarter on. How many times should they be expected to bail out the offense? 8) The ‘Unsafe’ Award ⚠️: The Eagles’ safeties Reed Blankenship injured his thigh, could barely walk off the field, and did not return to the game. Later, Andrew Mukuba got injured, and he was on crutches and in a walking boot after the game. The Eagles only have one other safety on the roster, Sydney Brown, who the Cowboys immediately attacked after he entered the game. If Blankenship and Mukuba can’t play Week 13 against the Bears, the Eagles’ starting safeties will be Brown, and, uh. Michael Carter? Cooper DeJean? Someone not currently on the 53-man roster? The Eagles also lost Adoree’ Jackson in this game with a head injury. Jackson has come under fire from the Eagles’ fan base, because he gives up more plays than DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell, but the Eagles clearly missed him when he left. Michael Carter played in nickel as the slot, and DeJean moved outside. The Cowboys then repeatedly tested DeJean deep down the field, often successfully. The Eagles suddenly have major concerns in their secondary. 9) The ‘Slide’ Award 🛝: The Eagles, in the NFC Heading into this weekend the Eagles were atop the NFC. As of this writing, the Rams are kicking the Buccaneers’ asses on Sunday Night Football, and are almost certain to overtake the Eagles in the NFC standings with a 9-2 record. If the Rams close the deal (as the Eagles were unable to do), they would be the new leader for the 1 seed in the NFC. The Eagles would drop to second. If the Eagles lose to the Bears Week 13, they will fall even further to the 3 seed, and it also might be time to start to worrying about just winning the NFC East. 10) The Quick Turnaround Award 🔁: The Eagles and Bears The Eagles’ next opponent will be the Bears, on Black Friday. The good news is that the Eagles will have a chance to very quickly put this disaster of a game in the rear view mirror. The bad new is that they suffered a bunch of injuries and those players might not have adequate time to heal. But that game is suddenly of major importance, (a) just to right the ship, and (b) for playoff seeding purposes.

Investing in State Quarters Worth Money
State quarters may seem like ordinary pocket change, but certain rare varieties, minting errors, and top-grade examples have become sought-after collectibles with strong investment potential. While most circulation strikes are only worth face value, select state quarters can sell for hundreds or even thousands of dollars. For collectors and investors alike, knowing which issues to look for-and why they command premium prices-can turn a simple hobby into a smart numismatic investment opportunity. History of the State Quarters Program In 1999, the U. S. Mint launched a program to honor each of the fifty states, called the 50-State Quarters Program. These quarters would have a picture related to the state on the reverse or tail side, giving homage to their history, natural beauty, agriculture, or other identifying features. To pay further respect to the states, the U. S. Mint had state governors select and recommend designs. The head side would keep the classic image of George Washington. The U. S. Mint planned to release five quarters per year, with the first five being released in 1999. It took 10 years for every state quarter to be released. The final five state quarters were released in 2008. Then, in 2009, six more quarters were released honoring Washington, D. C., and the five U. S. territories. These quarters had a widespread circulation and became a fun collection item for many people. Most of these coins aren’t worth anything more than $0. 25. However, some coins with a high mint state (MS) rating, certain defects, or important history may be worth more. Most Valuable State Quarters Wondering if any of your spare change is worth more than its value? Here are some of the top state quarters worth money. 1. 1999 P Experimental Delaware State Quarter As seen in the picture, this is no ordinary quarter. Delaware was the first state to receive a state quarter. Many were made and can be found in circulation today, but those aren’t very valuable. What makes this quarter special is the alloy used. The Delaware State Quarter, along with Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Georgia quarters, was part of an experiment to find the best alloy for the future Sacagawea golden dollar to be released in 2000. Only a small number of quarters were created on this experimental alloy, and their rarity makes them valuable. They were minted in Philadelphia, PA. These coins with a high MS rating can be sold for thousands of dollars. 2. 2000 P South Carolina State Quarter The South Carolina State Quarter was the eighth to be released and minted in Philadelphia, but only a few were created and sent into circulation. Though they’re on the rarer side, most aren’t valuable. However, a few that were never in circulation have a rating of MS68 or higher. These coins are some of the most valuable state quarters, but they’ll only be found in bankrolls, mint sets, and original coin bags. If you happen to find one in circulation, it may be fun to add to your collection, but it won’t be worth much money. 3. 2000 P Massachusetts State Quarter The Massachusetts State Quarter was the sixth state quarter to be released, and the first to be released in 2000. Because of its historical significance, it’s a popular coin among collectors. Like most state quarters, the versions of these in circulation aren’t worth much. However, a few remain that were never in circulation and retain a high MS rating. One of these coins, rated MS69, sold for over $4,000. 4. 2004 P Texas State Quarter The Texas quarter, released in 2004 and minted in Philadelphia, was the 28th quarter to be released in the program. Standard versions of these quarters rated MS69 or above are worth a couple of thousand dollars. However, there’s another version of this coin that’s worth even more. During the production of the Texas quarter, a grease clog affected the striking die and made the image blurry. Because of this, a few quarters were released with a blurred reverse side. The 2004 P Texas Grease Strike Through Error Quarter is rare and valuable, especially if it has a high MS rating. 5. 1999 P Experimental Connecticut State Quarter The Connecticut State Quarter is a collector’s favorite because of its intricate design. One version of it, minted in Denver, is valuable because of its detailed strike. Other versions of the quarter were minted in Philadelphia, including the quarters that were part of the Sacagawea alloy experiment. The 1999 P Experimental Connecticut quarter, like the Delaware quarter, was struck on an experimental alloy to help determine the best material for the future Sacagawea dollar. Only a handful of these were created and are considered errors, making them rare and valuable. The experimental Connecticut quarter is heavier, with smooth edges. 6. 2008 D New Mexico State Quarter The New Mexico quarter was one of the last five quarters to be released and was minted in 2008. While they were minted in Denver and Philadelphia, the Denver coins are favored by collectors. They have a superior strike and finish, with an attractive level of detail that complements the coin’s unique design. However, these coins have become rare and have increased in value. Even versions of these quarters with a lower MS rating, such as MS62, have sold for thousands of dollars. 7. 2004 D Wisconsin State Quarter Extra Leaf Low Error coins are rare but are valuable in the eyes of collectors. This is true of the 2004 D Wisconsin quarter that was struck with an extra leaf on the corn husk. In this quarter, there are two leaves on the left side of the corn husk, one low and one higher. The extra low leaf is not included on most standard Wisconsin quarters, so finding a quarter with this flawed design is rare. This coin is so favored that even coins with an MS67 are worth thousands of dollars. How to Identify Valuable State Quarters It’s unlikely you’ll find an extremely valuable quarter in the change you receive from a grocery store. Most state quarters worth money have a high MS rating, meaning they weren’t in circulation at all or for very long, preserving their condition. However, that doesn’t mean it’s not worth looking at. Some quarters with die errors, such as the Wisconsin extra leaf or Texas grease strike-through, may be worth money despite having a lower MS rating. The best way to identify valuable state quarters is to check out online resources, such as coin collector websites and auctions. See what quarters are selling for a large sum and determine what makes them valuable. Factors Affecting the Value of State Quarters A few factors help determine a quarter’s value. Here are the things you should keep in mind when determining if your quarter is worth money. Rarity and Scarcity: As with many collectibles, rare coins are much more valuable because there are fewer coins available than there is demand. If a quarter had low mintage numbers, it’ll be harder to find one with a high MS rating. Additionally, coins that were created on an experimental alloy or have an error are typically only made in small batches, making them more valuable. Condition and Grading: One of the most important factors is the coin’s condition. No matter what the coin is, it won’t be as valuable if it has been in circulation for a long time and has a faded color and design. Quarters are graded by MS or mint state. A higher mint state means the coins weren’t in circulation at all or for very long and have been preserved. Many coins with a high MS rating were pulled out of circulation by collectors early on, preserving their value. Demand and Popularity: Part of a quarter’s value is based on collector issues. For example, some coins are more popular among collectors than others, such as many coins minted in Denver. It’s a good idea to keep up with trends in coin collecting to identify which coins are popular. More Than a Quarter Everyone knows a quarter is worth $0. 25, but a few coins may fetch a small fortune. Typically, these coins will be hard to find in circulation, but if you search bankrolls, coin bags, and other collections, you may find an in-demand quarter that’s been preserved or has an interesting die mark. But before you purchase a collector coin, get a professional opinion to ensure it’s worth its price. Frequently Asked Questions.

Could Phillies Pivot From Kyle Schwarber To 5-Time All-Star?
The Philadelphia Phillies’ offense could look a bit different next year. That is because of the fact that Kyle Schwarber is a free agent right now after being a key cog in the middle of the Phillies lineup over the last four years. Schwarber earned two All-Star nods in Philadelphia and is coming off a season in which he hit 56 homers and drove in 132 runs, both of which led the National League. Bringing Schwarber back should be a priority and it has been reported over and over again that it is for the organization. But, what if he leaves? MLB. com’s Mark Feinsand listed five teams as “potential suitors” for New York Mets star slugger Pete Alonso. The Phillies cracked Feinsand’s list as a team to watch if they pivot from Schwarber. “Philadelphia’s No. 1 priority appears to be re-signing Kyle Schwarber, but if the National League MVP runner-up signs elsewhere, Alonso could be a target to replace the slugger,” Feinsand wrote. “Signing Alonso would mean either moving Bryce Harper back to right field, or using Alonso and Harper as a first base/DH combo, but adding a big bat should be in the cards for the Phillies if they’re unable to retain Schwarber.” If the Phillies lose Schwarber, there isn’t a better replacement available purely from a power perspective than Alonso. The five-time All-Star has 264 homers over the last seven seasons, including 38 long balls in 2025. The fit with the Phillies isn’t great because first base isn’t open. But Alonso’s agent, Scott Boras, didn’t close the door on the idea of Alonso seeing more time as a designated hitter in his next contract. That’s the only way an idea like this works for the Phillies.

Phillies Star Reliever Drawing Trade Interest
The Philadelphia Phillies could look to move on from a star reliever amid a bullpen turnover this offseason.
Philadelphia had a disappointing exit to their season, losing in the NLDS to the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Phillies’ bullpen was an issue throughout the year, and the team may be planning some major changes to strengthen the group.
Phillies insider Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports that star reliever Matt Strahm could draw trade interest from other teams. “The Phillies have fielded steady interest in all three of their left-handed relievers since the offseason began, major-league sources said, and it could nudge them toward a trade,” Gelb wrote.
He added, “The free-agent market for lefty relievers is not robust; some of the best available arms are Gregory Soto, Drew Pomeranz, Danny Coulombe, and Hoby Milner.”
Strahm, in particular, could pique teams’ interest. Despite this, he has been an integral piece of the Phillies’ bullpen success. His 2.46 ERA since 2023 ranks second among 53 left-handed relievers with at least 100 innings pitched during that span (Coulombe leads the group).
Although Strahm’s strikeout rate and fastball velocity dipped in 2025, he still logged an effective 62 1/3 innings of relief work. The left-hander, who serves as a reliable setup man, posted a 2-3 record with a 2.74 ERA over 66 games last season. Strahm is set to earn $7.5 million in 2026 and will be a free agent following the season.
### What Would the Phillies Get for Strahm?
If Philadelphia decides to move on from Strahm, they would likely receive a decent return. Given that he is a pending free agent, the trade return might not be massive, but Gelb believes the Phillies could net a mid-tier prospect.
“What would be the motivation to move one of the lefties? The Phillies could acquire a mid-level prospect to help backfill a depleted farm system, then throw some darts with the payroll savings on a few middle relievers,” Gelb explained. “Maybe it’s a chance to refresh a familiar bullpen mix that has enjoyed highs and suffered lows.”
“Whatever the case, the Phillies must create better bullpen depth than they did last offseason; they entered 2025 with these righties in the bullpen: Orion Kerkering, Jordan Romano, José Ruiz, and Carlos Hernández. They’ve already boosted it by adding Jhoan Duran. But securing a deeper righty pool might require creative maneuvers like trading a lefty.”
With the left-handed reliever free agent market not being the strongest, trading one of their own could be a practical move for Philadelphia to gain valuable assets.
### Philadelphia Not Ruling Out Starting Pitching Help
While the Phillies consider trading some pitching assets, they are also open to adding starting pitching help.
Phillies president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski emphasized that while it’s not their highest priority, the team is mindful of their starting pitching depth.
“But, again, it’s not our highest priority. You have to be careful. You always need to look for starting pitching depth. That doesn’t necessarily mean top of the market, but where does that fit in?” Dombrowski said.
“Because you never have enough starting pitching, and really for us, after you get past [the top six starters], now you’re talking about [minor leaguer Jean] Cabrera. He would be one of those guys. But we don’t have a lot of starting pitching depth, so that’s something we need to be cognizant of.”
As the Phillies plan for the next season, moves involving both bullpen adjustments and potential additions to the starting rotation remain on the table.

Javonte Green pushes shorthanded Detroit Pistons to 9th straight win, 114-105, over 76ers
Despite going without their two top scorers for the second game in a row, the Detroit Pistons prevailed once again. This time, they secured a 114-105 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday, Nov. 14, at Little Caesars Arena, extending their winning streak to nine games.
The Pistons outscored the Sixers 26-15 in the final period, utilizing a decisive 27-9 run that began in the third quarter to erase a 12-point deficit. Philadelphia struggled in the fourth quarter, shooting just 7-for-21 (33.3%), while Detroit took their biggest lead of the night, 114-103, with under two minutes remaining.
Javonte Green led the way for the Pistons with 21 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks. Daniss Jenkins added 19 points and eight assists, continuing to prove his value for Detroit (11-2, 2-0 in NBA Cup play). Isaiah Stewart made a productive return from a three-game absence due to a left ankle sprain, finishing with 14 points and five rebounds off the bench. Duncan Robinson and Caris LeVert also contributed in double figures, scoring 15 and 14 points respectively, with Robinson grabbing six rebounds and LeVert dishing out six assists.
For the Sixers (7-5, 0-2), Tyrese Maxey led the charge with 31 points.
**Healing Fast: Jaden Ivey Injury Update**
Detroit’s injury report remained extensive for the second consecutive game. Ausar Thompson (right ankle sprain), Tobias Harris (right ankle sprain), Jaden Ivey (right knee arthroscopy), and Marcus Sasser (right hip impingement) were all ruled out, along with Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren. Despite being short-handed, the Pistons trailed by seven late in the first half before closing the half on a 28-12 run to take a 63-54 lead.
Detroit shot an impressive 11-for-22 from beyond the arc, including a streak of six straight 3-pointers after a slow 3-for-11 start. Green and Robinson combined for six of those threes, making three each. Defensively, the Pistons held Philadelphia to 40% shooting in the first half. Jalen Reed, who had three blocks in the opening half, along with Stewart and Green, anchored the league-best rim protection while showing strong perimeter defense.
**Next Up**
The Pistons will host NBA Finals runner-up Indiana Pacers on Monday at Little Caesars Arena (7 p.m., FanDuel Sports Network Detroit). The Pacers entered Friday with a tough 1-11 start to the season.
**Daniss Jenkins Caps Breakout Week**
Jenkins continued his impressive play, showcasing why he’s ready for regular rotation minutes in his second season with the Pistons on a two-way contract. He made five of eight 3-point attempts, marking his third straight game scoring in double figures. Jenkins was key during a 17-7 run that closed out the third quarter, leading Detroit with eight points during that stretch.
At the third-quarter buzzer, Jenkins electrified the crowd by banking in a deep 3-pointer from beyond halfcourt, capping the run that erased the 12-point deficit. He also finished off the Pistons’ 27-9 run in the final period with a strong drive and finish at the rim, pushing Detroit’s lead to six, 98-92, with 7:37 remaining.
**Caris LeVert Steps Up Off the Bench**
LeVert continued his strong play, scoring in double figures for the fifth consecutive game. He provided critical points in the closing moments, including back-to-back 3-pointers that gave the Pistons a 109-101 lead with 3:45 remaining. LeVert sealed the victory by splitting a trip to the free-throw line and completing a fast-break dunk with 1:44 left, extending Detroit’s lead to 11 and essentially icing the game.

Cam Jurgens Returns To Eagles Lineup Ahead Of Pivotal Lions Showdown
**Pro Bowl Center Cam Jurgens Set to Return for Eagles’ Clash Against Lions**
Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens will be snapping the football to Jalen Hurts on Sunday against the Detroit Lions, marking his return to the Eagles’ lineup for the first time since suffering a knee injury during Philadelphia’s 28-22 victory over the Minnesota Vikings.
In Jurgens’ absence, Brett Toth started at center against the Giants and Packers, with the Eagles’ bye week coming in between those two games.
**Toth Steps Up in Jurgens’ Absence**
This season, Brett Toth has played a vital role, filling in at both left guard and center. Injuries to the Eagles’ formidable offensive line thrust Toth into the starting lineup. Notably, this was Toth’s first time starting at center in his career.
After replacing an injured Landon Dickerson in the first meeting against New York, Toth did an admirable job stepping in for Jurgens—something the veteran center certainly noticed.
> “Brett did a great job,” Jurgens said. “He’s been in the league seven, eight years now. He stepped in. Did a great job. Communication was good. He knows exactly what we’re doing.”
**Jurgens Ready to Return**
After nearly a month on the sidelines, Jurgens is eager to get back on the field. Following Friday’s practice, he spoke to the media about his return.
> “I’m just trying to get better every day, every week,” Jurgens said.
The Eagles will benefit greatly from having Jurgens back as they go up against Detroit’s fierce defensive front, which features standout edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson. Earlier this week, Hutchinson highlighted the importance of this Lions-Eagles matchup in a conversation with NBC Sports Philadelphia.
**Eagles’ Offensive Line Near Full Strength**
There were concerns earlier in the week regarding the health of Philadelphia’s offensive line. Four out of five starters—Lane Johnson (ankle), Landon Dickerson (quad), Cam Jurgens (knee), and Tyler Steen (oblique)—were all listed as limited participants in Wednesday’s practice.
However, the situation improved as the week progressed. By Friday, every Eagles player on the active roster was a full participant in practice except for reserve center/guard Willie Lampkin. Lampkin, who remains on injured reserve with knee and ankle injuries, was a full participant this week but must be activated by Saturday at 4 PM if he’s to play. With his activation window open until November 27th, Lampkin is likely to remain on IR for at least one more week as the Eagles prepare for this pivotal matchup.
**Other Injury Updates**
Several other Eagles also shed their injury designations by Friday, including linebacker Nolan Smith, wide receiver Darius Cooper, cornerback Jakorian Bennett, and long snapper Cal Adomitis. All four were listed on the injury report earlier in the week, but none carry an injury status into Sunday.
**Big Implications as Eagles Host Lions**
Philadelphia will put their three-game winning streak on the line when they host the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football at Lincoln Financial Field. With Detroit just one game behind in the NFC standings, Sunday’s matchup carries significant playoff seeding implications as the regular season winds down.
Stay tuned for full coverage of Eagles vs. Lions, including injury updates and key storylines throughout the week.

A.J. Brown’s frustrations boil over as Eagles’ offense sputters again
Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni addressed the ongoing A.J. Brown drama on Wednesday, placing some of the blame on the media for fueling the narrative.
“I’m close to being done answering these questions with this,” Sirianni said. “He’s working hard and he is a big part of this game plan, and he’ll be a big part of the game plan going forward. He’s working like crazy when he is here and I’m excited to have him.”
Brown, a generational talent, was targeted just three times in Monday night’s 10-7 win over the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. The following day, the star receiver expressed his frustration during a Madden video game stream, calling his role in the Philadelphia offense a “s- show.” He even advised fantasy football owners to consider dropping him, suggesting he isn’t getting enough opportunities on the field.
Sirianni defended Brown’s role, noting that the raw stats didn’t tell the full story.
“If you look at the game and how the game went, there are a lot of plays in that game that are going to him that for different reasons don’t,” Sirianni explained. “For instance, (WR DeVonta Smith) Smitty’s touchdown, that play is going to A.J. They took it away, and (QB Jalen Hurts) threw it over the top.”
“You can’t just look at stats,” Sirianni added. “You can’t paint the picture that way. I know that sometimes is all the information that you guys may have, but you can’t look at it that way and just say, ‘Here’s how the game is playing out.’ There are reasons and different things.”
“A.J. Brown is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, so of course we’re trying to get him involved in the game every single time. Sometimes it goes like it did in the Rams game or the Vikings game and sometimes it goes like it did in this last game.”
Indeed, Brown had an impressive showing in earlier games, catching 10 passes on 16 targets for 230 yards and three touchdowns in matchups against the Rams and Vikings in Weeks 3 and 7.
On Wednesday evening, Brown spoke candidly about his frustrations during a locker room media session at the NovaCare Complex.
“It’s not solely about my situation,” Brown said. “Obviously, I want to win, too. I think if we’re really focusing on winning and doing our job, we can’t just keep slapping the band-aid over the defense doing their job and getting us out of trouble.”
“At what point are we going to pick up our slack as an offense? We’re so great, you know? That’s what I’m getting at. It’s not about I don’t care about winning and all I care about is stats. No. It’s been, week after week sometimes, we’re not contributing, we’re not doing our job on offense. You can’t just keep slapping the band-aid over that.”
“You expect to win late in the year and you think you can go to it at the end of the year, it’s not going to f-ing happen. It’s not going to happen. It’s not going to happen. Last year is what it was. Thanks for the ring. But it’s a new season. We have to adapt. We have to continue to get better, to find new ways. That’s where the frustration comes in. It’s not about winning, you guys. I want to win, yes. I want to help contribute to it as well. Do our thing on offense as well. I think that’s fair.”
Brown’s talent is unquestioned, yet the Eagles offense has often failed to maximize his potential as a dynamic weapon. Instead of featuring him heavily, he’s frequently utilized as a blocker or decoy and seldom sees the ball. Considering how receivers like Terrell Owens, Randy Moss, or Brandon Marshall might react in similar situations, Brown’s measured responses, including his social-media posts and occasional comments, could be seen as commendable restraint.
Of course, context matters, as Sirianni pointed out — sometimes targets don’t come due to defensive adjustments or game flow. Still, three targets in a game raise questions.
The reigning Super Bowl champion Eagles currently sport a strong 7-2 record — and that’s what ultimately matters most. Sirianni is an impressive 5-0 after bye weeks, and the Birds’ defense looked outstanding in Green Bay.
However, the offense, which had been clicking for two weeks prior to the break, stalled at Lambeau Field. Credit goes to the Packers’ defense, which frequently limited separation for Philadelphia’s receivers. But how long can Brown remain fully engaged when his immense talents appear underused?
“I don’t care if I’m misunderstood,” Brown said. “I’ll stand up in front of there and fall on that sword over and over again. It’s about doing what we’re supposed to be doing on offense. If we are really in this business to try and get better, we gotta do what we gotta do and not just say, ‘Oh, it’s about wins. As long as you got the win, it’s cool.’ No. You cannot do that. Not in this league. You gotta continue to get better. We gotta do what we have to do on offense to help the defense, to help the special teams.”
If the season ended today, the Eagles would hold the No. 1 seed in the NFC, which suggests some criticisms may be overblown nitpicking, especially given injuries along the offensive line.
Still, the offense’s inconsistency is a fair concern as the team looks ahead to the postseason.

### Alexander Gone for Good?
On a related note, it appears cornerback Jaire Alexander’s stepping away from football may be long-term or even permanent, based on Sirianni’s comments Wednesday.
“I think (he’s) getting away for his health,” Sirianni said. “I respect that. I really enjoyed my short time with him and wish him the best.”
The Eagles acquired Alexander from the Baltimore Ravens ahead of the trade deadline, but he has been dealing with physical and mental hygiene issues in recent months.
Sirianni added, “We were just really excited to get him in here, and again, just know that he’s stepping away for health reasons. Like I said, just wish him the best.”

### NFL Week 11 Preview: Key Matchups
Speaking of Week 11, the NFL schedule kicks off with a classic AFC East showdown. The Patriots, who are on a seven-game win streak after their rocky 1-2 start, will try to keep the momentum going. Meanwhile, the Jets are riding a two-game win streak and need to keep winning if they want to keep their playoff hopes alive. With just a few more losses potentially ending their season, expect an intense battle.
International action also returns this week, with a game in Madrid, Spain. Both the Miami Dolphins and Washington Commanders are technically still in the playoff hunt, so a win overseas could spark a late-season run for either team.
Elsewhere, the Buffalo Bills host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Buffalo, after starting 4-0, has struggled to a 2-3 record in their last five games and will look to bounce back. Tampa Bay is also searching for answers amid a slew of injuries on both sides of the ball.
Week 11 is packed with impactful divisional matchups:
– **Seahawks (7-2) vs. Rams (7-2)**: Both NFC West teams look to claim sole possession of first place at SoFi Stadium.
– **49ers vs. Cardinals**: San Francisco aims to keep pace in the division as they battle Arizona.
– **Chiefs (5-4) at Broncos (8-2)**: Kansas City must secure a win to stay in the AFC playoff race, while Denver fights to stay atop the conference.
Sunday Night Football offers another must-watch showdown as the Detroit Lions, fresh off a bye week, visit the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles have a shorter recovery after their Monday Night win against Green Bay, setting up an intriguing matchup between two NFC contenders.

Donald Trump plans to be the 1st sitting US president at a regular-season NFL game since 1978
LANDOVER, Md. (AP) — Extra security measures were in place hours before the Washington Commanders’ game against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, as President Donald Trump planned to become the first sitting president in nearly a half-century to attend a regular-season NFL contest.
Officers in black uniforms identifying them as members of the U.S. Secret Service joined military, police, and other guards inside and outside Northwest Stadium. There were more fences than usual blocking sidewalks, and some pathways were restricted to ensure security.
According to the league, only two other sitting presidents have attended an NFL game during the regular season: Richard Nixon in 1969 and Jimmy Carter in 1978. Trump also became the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl when he watched the Philadelphia Eagles defeat the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in February.
Trump was expected to sit with principal owner Josh Harris, the leader of the group that purchased the Commanders from Daniel Snyder for about $6 billion in 2023. In a report by ESPN on Saturday, an intermediary for the White House revealed that Trump wants the club’s new stadium—part of a nearly $4 billion development project at the site of the former RFK Stadium in the nation’s capital—to bear his name.
“That would surely be a beautiful name,” Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said.
Sunday’s visit to Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland, was the latest in a series of high-profile appearances by Trump at sporting events including golf’s Ryder Cup, auto racing’s Daytona 500, and tennis’ U.S. Open.
“We are honored to welcome President Trump to the game as we celebrate those who have served and continue to serve our country,” said Commanders club president Mark Clouse. “The entire Commanders organization is proud to participate in the NFL’s league-wide Salute to Service initiative, recognizing the dedication and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans, active-duty service members, and their families this Sunday.”
There has been friction between Trump and the NFL during his first presidential term, notably when he objected to players kneeling during the national anthem to protest social or racial injustice. This movement began in 2016 with then-San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Player grades: Tyrese Maxey, Sixers knock off Raptors to end skid
PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia 76ers returned home on Saturday to host the Toronto Raptors, aiming to snap a two-game losing streak. Sporting their 2001 throwback uniforms and court, the Sixers were also looking to start their back-to-back games on a high note against a pesky Raptors squad.
Toronto posed challenges at times during the contest, but led by the stellar play of Tyrese Maxey, Philadelphia secured a 130-120 victory to get back in the win column. Maxey delivered a dominant performance with 31 points, seven assists, and four rebounds to lead the Sixers to a much-needed win and renewed confidence.
Joel Embiid added 29 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Trendon Watford posted a triple-double with 20 points, 17 rebounds, and 10 assists. Kelly Oubre Jr. chipped in 19 points. Off the bench, Quentin Grimes scored 11 points, while VJ Edgecombe contributed 11 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.
Here are the player grades following Philadelphia’s win:
**Tyrese Maxey: A-minus**
The Raptors struggled to contain Maxey throughout the game. Numerous times, the star guard blew past defenders off the dribble and found ways to finish at the basket. He knocked down a couple of crucial three-pointers early to set the tone. Although Toronto managed to slow him down after his hot start, Maxey kept attacking and creating opportunities for himself and teammates. His quickness and sound decision-making led to easy baskets, making him a constant threat.
**VJ Edgecombe: B-minus**
Toronto focused significant defensive attention on Edgecombe to limit his impact, and he initially struggled with this pressure. However, he showed maturity by attacking the glass and finding ways to contribute positively. Edgecombe had several highlight-worthy moments and made some clutch shots down the stretch to provide an offensive spark for the Sixers.
**Kelly Oubre Jr.: B-plus**
Oubre has been a consistent contributor for Philadelphia this season, and he continued that trend in this game. He attacked the basket aggressively, finishing with some acrobatic moves over Toronto’s defenders. Although his three-point shooting faltered, Oubre was efficient inside the paint and helped the Sixers maintain offensive rhythm throughout the game.
**Trendon Watford: A-plus**
Starting in this game, Watford made an immediate impact by doing many of the little things that help teams win in the NBA. He made hustle plays, took on ball-handling duties, ran the offense effectively from the power forward position, and crashed the boards. Watford was highly efficient offensively, made smart post plays, and contributed defensively. As he continues to develop, he will be an invaluable asset for the Sixers.
**Joel Embiid: A-minus**
The Raptors chose to go small to start the game, defending Embiid with the likes of Scottie Barnes and Brandon Ingram. Embiid capitalized on this by utilizing his size, strength, and soft touch around the basket for easy scoring opportunities. Although he missed open three-point attempts and the defense had some lapses leading to easy Toronto buckets, Embiid was mostly a force in the paint. He also made intelligent passing plays when doubled. Overall, Embiid had another efficient offensive night but showed occasional defensive struggles—a mixed yet encouraging performance as he works toward regaining full form.
**Quentin Grimes: B-minus**
Needing momentum in the second quarter, the Sixers got a timely boost from Grimes. With Toronto holding a double-digit lead, Grimes knocked down a couple of crucial triples to shift momentum in Philadelphia’s favor. The bench unit had its ups and downs overall, but Grimes delivered key moments that helped spark the team.
**Andre Drummond: B-plus**
Philadelphia relied on Drummond in the first half, where he pulled down rebounds and moved well defensively. Called upon again in the second half, the veteran delivered important defensive plays and scored after battling inside with the Raptors. Drummond continues to make a strong case as Philadelphia’s primary backup big man.
**Justin Edwards: C-minus**
The second-year guard showed some defensive promise but committed a turnover early in his minutes that led to a Raptors bucket. He did contribute on offense with a corner three-pointer in the second half to help keep the Sixers’ scoring momentum alive.
**Jabari Walker: C-plus**
Walker continues to play within his role, focusing on team-first basketball. While his three-point shot is yet to fall consistently, Philadelphia will maintain confidence in him and provide minutes to help him find his rhythm.
**Adem Bona: D-plus**
Bona’s initial minutes included an offensive foul and some defensive lapses. He showed aggression on the glass, which is a positive, but overall, it was a tough night for the young big man.

The 76ers’ victory over the Raptors marked a positive step in ending their skid and building momentum as they continue their season. With strong performances from Maxey, Watford, and Embiid, Philadelphia has reasons to feel optimistic moving forward.
