**Hoda Kotb to Make Guest Appearance on the TODAY Show Nine Months After Departure**

*Published September 22, 2025, 2:15 p.m. ET*

Former *TODAY* show co-host Hoda Kotb is set to return to the morning news show for a special guest appearance, RadarOnline.com can reveal. This comes nine months after Kotb left her post to spend more time with her two young daughters.

During the *TODAY* show on Monday, September 22, co-host Craig Melvin surprised viewers by announcing the exciting news of Kotb’s return. As he signed off, Melvin teased:

*”You’ll want to come back tomorrow. Something to look forward to. Hoda is back.”*

However, Melvin was quick to clarify that Kotb’s return would be temporary.

**Kotb’s Temporary Return to TODAY**

“No, no, not for good. You’re still stuck with me,” Melvin joked. “But Hoda will be here to talk about a really special project—her new book, *Jump and Find Joy*.”

He added, “It’s all about embracing change in every season of life. She’s gonna be here to talk about it tomorrow.”

Kotb’s former co-host Savannah Guthrie also expressed excitement about reconnecting with her, saying, “It will be good to catch up with Hoda.”

**About Hoda Kotb’s New Book: *Jump and Find Joy***

According to the synopsis, *Jump and Find Joy* offers an intimate look into how Kotb’s life transformed once she started embracing change rather than resisting it.

The book’s synopsis explains:

*”In her quest to better understand change and how to work with (not against) it, Hoda relies on her reporting instincts to investigate how change works, who is approaching it with grace, and what she can apply to her own life and share with others.”*

*Jump and Find Joy* combines wisdom from experts on change, the latest research on resilience, and heartfelt stories from celebrities and inspiring individuals within our communities.

From small shifts in daily routines to major leaps of faith, Kotb shows readers why change shouldn’t be feared but celebrated—and how everyone can thrive amidst the inevitable changes life brings.

**Why Did Hoda Kotb Leave the TODAY Show?**

RadarOnline.com previously reported that Kotb shocked fans when she announced her departure from the *TODAY* show in January after 17 years. Her reason: wanting to devote more time to her daughters, Hope and Haley.

In a recent interview with Kristen Welker, Kotb shared a touching moment with her daughters that affirmed her decision:

*”For 26 years, I did similar things every single day. And one day, Kristen, in January, I woke up and my alarm didn’t go off at 3:30 A.M. I went downstairs to my office, and Haley ran down and she looked at me and said at 5 A.M., ‘You really are here.’ And I think in that tiny moment I was like this decision was right on so many levels.”*

**Rumors Swirl About Kotb’s Future Plans**

Before Melvin’s announcement of Kotb’s upcoming special appearance, rumors circulated that the former *TODAY* alum might be considered as Kelly Clarkson’s replacement on the singer’s daytime talk show. This speculation followed the news of Clarkson’s ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock’s, death.

For now, fans can look forward to Hoda Kotb’s heartfelt and inspiring guest spot on the *TODAY* show tomorrow, where she will discuss her new book and journey embracing life’s inevitable changes.

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 Written Update, September 20: Tulsi Vs Pari, Latter Finally Reveals The Truth

**Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 Written Update – September 20**

In yesterday’s episode, Tulsi saw Pari with Ranvijay in the chawl and fainted. Today, the Virani family is discussing Pari’s case when Tulsi enters the house looking upset. Mihir and other family members immediately get worried upon seeing her condition.

Tulsi breaks down in tears and reveals that she saw Pari in the chawl with Ranvijay. However, Mihir doesn’t believe her, so Tulsi asks him to come with her to prove it.

As they are about to leave, Pari unexpectedly appears and stops them. She questions Tulsi and Mihir about where they are going. Tulsi confronts Pari directly, accusing her of meeting Ranvijay in the chawl.

Pari starts crying and denies the accusation, saying she never went to any chawl to meet Ranvijay. She explains that she was at college, and Gayatri was with her the entire time. Supporting Pari’s statement, Gayatri confirms that she was indeed with Pari throughout.

Despite her innocence, Pari becomes emotional and creates a scene, accusing Tulsi of not believing her and saying that if she isn’t trusted, she might as well die. Mihir and other family members try to calm her down.

Mihir attempts to take Pari to her room, but Tulsi insists that he should believe her. However, Mihir remains doubtful of Tulsi’s claims.

Later, a flashback reveals that when Tulsi fainted in the chawl, Pari and Ranvijay saw her. Pari then hurried home and requested Gayatri to support her story.

Back in the present, Tulsi is standing in the compound of Shanti Niketan, near the tulsi plant, when Pari approaches her and asks what problem she has with her. Angered, Tulsi demands the truth from Pari.

Finally, Pari confesses that she did go to the chawl to meet Ranvijay. She reveals her love for Ranvijay and admits that marrying Ajay was a mistake. She also claims that the allegations she made against her in-laws were false — she never liked Ajay or his family and only wanted to leave them.

Tulsi tries to explain that what Pari did was wrong, but Pari retorts that Tulsi never supports her. Pari adds that if she had told the truth about loving Ranvijay, everyone would have blamed her, and she wouldn’t have received her share of the family property.

Tulsi is left shocked after hearing Pari’s confession.

What will happen next? Stay tuned for tomorrow’s episode to find out!

‘Bads of Bollywood’ review: Lakshya elevates Aryan’s entertaining series

**Can an Outsider Make It Big in Bollywood? A Review of *The Ba***ds of Bollywood***

*The Ba***ds of Bollywood* revolves around Aasmaan (Lakshya), an outsider and a rising Bollywood star. After signing a major Karan Johar film, he finds himself co-starring with Karishma Talwar, the daughter of superstar Ajay Talwar. However, Ajay (Deol) isn’t too pleased about this pairing. Adding to the drama, Aasmaan is being chased by the mafia while struggling to juggle his film commitments to Johar and producer Freddy Sodawallah (Manish Chaudhari).

### Self-Aware, Smart, and Funny

Perhaps the best aspect of *The Ba***ds of Bollywood* is how self-aware, smart, and cheeky it is. The show doesn’t shy away from poking fun at the industry — from Johar calling himself the “film mafia” to Rajat Bedi (known for *Koi… Mil Gaya*) taking multiple digs at his prolonged absence from Bollywood. Aryan Khan also makes fun of his own drug controversy and even spoofs the infamous Sameer Wankhede. This meta-humor adds a refreshing layer to the series, making it highly entertaining.

### Rajat Bedi’s Redemption Arc

Rajat Bedi plays Jaraj Saxena, a Bollywood has-been with an amusing and lovable charm. His character drives much of the plot forward and offers one of the series’ most memorable performances. There’s an underlying tragedy to his role which raises questions about the shelf life of fame and what happens when it’s suddenly snatched away. Bedi’s portrayal stands out as one of his best, blending humor with poignancy.

### SRK’s Much-Hyped Cameo

One of the highlights of the show is Shah Rukh Khan’s hilarious cameo during the Filmfirst Awards segment. SRK’s brief appearance is a perfect tribute to the iconic awards scene from *Om Shanti Om*. From the cameos to the way Aasmaan’s winning speech is filmed, it’s clear that Aryan Khan’s direction is a heartfelt nod to Farah Khan and her influence.

### A Gamble with the Final Twist

The series shines most when it mirrors real life. Johar’s lengthy talks about nepotism, jokes about Aryan’s mysterious persona, and mentions of Orry’s “omnipresence” all add to the authenticity. Towards the end, the show takes a bold, filmy twist. If renewed for a second season, this twist could heavily influence the trajectories of the central characters, making for an intriguing continuation.

### Areas Where the Show Could Improve

Despite its many meta moments and solid performances, *The Ba***ds of Bollywood* has its flaws. The biggest disappointment lies with the much-hyped celebrity cameos. While some instantly bring a smile, others feel completely wasted. Icons like SS Rajamouli, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan receive flimsy dialogues and minimal screen time. Salman Khan, in particular, only has a few seconds on-screen, which feels like a missed opportunity.

### Narrative Issues and Underdeveloped Characters

While the show thrives on humor and performances, the storytelling sometimes falters. The love story between Karishma and Aasmaan feels superficial, making it difficult to invest emotionally in their romance. Additionally, characters played by Manoj Pahwa and Juyal, who are supposed to add comic relief, are poorly written and lack depth, despite their pivotal role in the plot.

### Overambition and Distractions

The underworld subplot, featuring Arshad Warsi as a don, struggles to grab attention and often feels out of place. The series juggles so many storylines that it sometimes becomes a victim of its own ambition. The tacky VFX during a car chase between Ajay and Aasmaan is an unfortunate low point and feels especially out of place in such a big-budget show.

### Verdict: Aryan Khan’s Directorial Debut Is Entertaining

*The Ba***ds of Bollywood* is most entertaining when it satirizes the film industry and immerses the audience in the glamorous and enigmatic world of Bollywood. With tighter writing and stronger supporting characters, the series could have been more impactful and dramatic. Nevertheless, despite some narrative fluff and missed opportunities, *The Ba***ds of Bollywood* is a binge-worthy, humorous, and entertaining watch.
