Top Dino Crypto Coins Price Analysis: ZEC, XMR, DASH, LTC, BCH

As the crypto market navigates its current fluctuations, renewed focus is falling on coins from the 2017-2018 altcoin era. These digital assets, often considered “dino coins,” are beginning to show signs of life, reacting sharply to even modest market movements. With recent rallies highlighting both their volatility and potential, investors are closely watching to see which coins could lead the next surge.

This period offers a rare opportunity to explore both historical performance and emerging trends, uncovering patterns that may signal significant upside for legacy tokens.

## Crypto Classics Revisited: Tracking Price Trends and Market Potential

For traders and enthusiasts alike, understanding the dynamics of these legacy coins is becoming increasingly relevant—especially as these tokens intersect with new market cycles and investor sentiment shifts. In this article, we dive into recent performances, key price movements, and potential opportunities within this unique segment of the crypto market.

### Zcash (ZEC)

Zcash has emerged as one of the top-performing coins from the 2017-2018 altcoin era, showing remarkable momentum. It recently produced exceptionally high returns, climbing 45% in a single day to reach $700, and posting monthly gains of 255%.

ZEC’s price action is influenced by more than speculation alone. Notably, the network’s shielded pool—which enhances user privacy by hiding transaction details—has grown to nearly 29%, hitting a new all-time high this week (source: zkp.baby). This increasing use of the shielded pool suggests Zcash is actively being used for its core privacy features, not just for trading hype.

If the next altcoin cycle gains traction, Zcash could remain a leading candidate for significant price appreciation, bridging historical relevance with renewed market interest.

### Litecoin (LTC)

Litecoin has demonstrated remarkable resilience, climbing back into the top 20 cryptocurrencies after dropping out of the top 10 years ago. The project team’s recent initiatives have driven increased network activity and attracted institutional interest.

Litecoin recently marked its 14th anniversary, which coincided with a 36% surge in network engagement. At the time of writing, LTC is trading around $100, reflecting a monthly gain of over 19%. Sentiment was further boosted by the launch of the Litecoin ETF through Canary Funds.

Holding near the key psychological $100 milestone, Litecoin shows strong potential to start 2026 trading in the $130 to $145 range.

### Dash (DASH)

Dash is trading around $90 today, having eased back from an earlier surge above $100 before sellers triggered a pullback. This retreat follows a period of heightened volatility, fueled by renewed inflows and expanding trading ranges.

On the daily chart, DASH remains above its rising trendline, which has supported upward moves since mid-October. The price currently sits near the 20-day EMA at $76, with the 50-day EMA at $60. For sustained bullish momentum, Dash will need a daily close above $86 and a recovery past $95. Achieving these levels would signal strong buyer absorption and could set the stage for another rally toward $100 or even $110.

### Monero (XMR)

Monero is currently trading around $425, continuing a robust recovery after buyers pushed through a rising trendline that’s shaped its structure since early September. The cryptocurrency has surged 47% over the past month and posted 189% gains year-to-date.

Monero’s flow profile has seen notable changes recently. Coinglass data shows consistent inflows, including $1.38 million on November 15—the largest single-day accumulation in over a month. Open interest has swelled from below $20 million in February 2024 to over $70 million by November 2025, indicating increased leveraged market activity and heightened volatility expectations.

Monero demonstrates how privacy-focused projects can remain relevant and perform well amid shifting conditions, offering both privacy and growth potential for crypto investors.

### Bitcoin Cash (BCH)

Bitcoin Cash has shown renewed activity in recent weeks, gradually waking up alongside other “dino coins.” Its price has been volatile but the overall trend points to a slow, steady rise. Notably, BCH reacts strongly when the broader altcoin market—especially privacy coins like Zcash and Monero—rallies.

Long-term charts reveal significant upside potential, with historical data suggesting possible gains of 200%+ if BCH revisits previous all-time highs. While it hasn’t matched the explosive moves of some peers, its gradual recovery underscores the potential for strong participation in future altcoin rallies. Investors should watch its price movements carefully as BCH appears well-positioned for outperformance in the next favorable market cycle.

### Maxi Doge (MAXI)

The recent rally in dino coins has captured significant attention, but traders are already eyeing the next big opportunity. Analysts see the Maxi Doge (MAXI) presale as a potential contender with the momentum to outperform legacy coins once it launches.

MAXI combines a playful Doge-inspired theme with community-driven initiatives such as contests, rewards, and staking opportunities. Although still in its presale phase, Maxi Doge has already raised over $4 million, signaling strong early interest from investors.

As the spotlight returns to crypto classics and new contenders alike, the coming months promise to be pivotal for traders seeking both value and excitement in the evolving altcoin landscape.

Diego Simeone praises bench players after Levante win

Atlético Madrid coach Diego Simeone was focusing on the positives following a 3-1 victory over Levante at the Estadio Riyadh Air Metropolitano on Saturday evening. The match was once again decided by a second-half substitution, highlighting the impact of strategic changes during the game.

Simeone reflected on the challenge of keeping all bench players satisfied: “It’s impossible. You can’t convince them, because I was a footballer and I know how players feel: they want to play and no explanation is good enough for them when they’re waiting for their chance.

“When they sign their contract, they’re not signing to be a starter, they’re signing to help the team,” he continued. “We all form a team, and the manager decides who starts.”

### Positive Performance and Team Control

Commenting on the team’s performance heading into the international break, Simeone said, “I’m happy with the work the lads are doing. Today was another complete, well-played match, with the aim of controlling the game, which we did throughout.

“They hurt us from set pieces, which they handle so well, and they scored one goal and could have scored another. But we played mostly in their half of the pitch, we kept going, we didn’t get frustrated when they were defending well. The lads who came on in the second half found themselves in a good game and helped us to win it.

“We could have scored more goals and I’m pleased with the ambition that the team showed.”

### Working on Set Pieces

Addressing the team’s struggles to capitalize on numerous corners, Simeone said, “It’s not luck. It’s hard work, persistence, looking for the best partnerships to come together, and finding solutions in the matches.

“We have good scorers and finishers; it’s an area we need to improve and we’re going to work on that to evolve in an important part of these matches, especially against teams that defend so well.

“Having so many chances and not creating danger is a shame.”

### The Impact of Substitutes

Simeone highlighted the value of his bench players, sharing, “Our idea is that we are all part of the team. Eleven players start one match and another 11 start another, but we are all part of the team and that is where the strength of the group lies.

“The players who don’t start do very well; the other day it was Sørloth, today it was Griezmann, and we have to keep everyone engaged in understanding that we are all part of the team. Then the 11 players chosen by the manager start the match.”

On a goal scored just 37 seconds after a substitution, Simeone humorously called it “pure luck.”

### On Julián Alvarez and Antoine Griezmann

When asked about Julián Alvarez allegedly ‘leaving his future open,’ Simeone replied, “I didn’t hear it and he’ll be the one who can explain it best, because he’s the one who said what you say he said.”

Regarding Antoine Griezmann’s changing role in the squad, Simeone explained, “The other day he started in the Champions League. I decide how I feel about each match with the players who can do best for the club and the team.

“The names are a consequence of how I feel about the match and that is what guides me.”

### Importance of the Win and Team Effort

Simeone emphasized the significance of the victory: “It’s always a difficult game against Levante, at least it’s almost always difficult for us.

“We handled it very well, the team controlled the game at all times, took the lead, conceded the equaliser and continued to control it. They were looking for a counter-attack because they have speed, and they work very well from set pieces.

“We played a very complete game; the second half was even better, we kept pushing and there was no frustration at coming up against a team that defends well. We kept pushing and our collective play led to the second goal, the third, and we could have scored more.”

### The Value of the Entire Squad

On the importance of the bench and collective effort, Simeone concluded, “It speaks well of them because they are prepared. We are a team, and the team is all of us.

“Eleven players start, 10 and the goalkeeper, and then there are five to help. We are all in this together, and they are responding accordingly to what we need.”

Truluck’s Celebrates Stone Crab Season with an Unforgettable Seafood Experience in Dallas

Stone Crab Season Returns at Truluck’s Ocean’s Finest Seafood and Crab in Dallas

Stone Crab season has officially returned at Truluck’s Ocean’s Finest Seafood and Crab, giving Dallas diners a delicious reason to celebrate. Starting October 20, seafood enthusiasts can indulge in one of the most coveted delicacies of the season: fresh Florida Stone Crab.

Known for their sweet, tender meat and delicate, buttery texture, these claws are a hallmark of Truluck’s menu. They reflect decades of commitment to freshness, sustainability, and culinary excellence.

### A Signature Stone Crab Experience

At Truluck’s, Florida Stone Crab is served fully cooked, chilled, and pre-cracked, accompanied by the restaurant’s iconic mustard sauce. This tangy, slightly spicy sauce perfectly complements the natural sweetness of the crab, enhancing each bite with a bold yet balanced flavor.

Part of the magic of enjoying Stone Crab at Truluck’s lies in the interactive ritual: cracking open the claw, dipping it into mustard sauce, and savoring every morsel. This indulgent and intimate experience is perfect for celebrating special occasions or elevating an everyday meal.

### Understanding Stone Crab Sizes and Sustainable Fishing

Truluck’s offers a variety of Stone Crab claw sizes to cater to different preferences. Small claws provide delicate, sweet meat with a lighter texture, while medium claws strike a satisfying balance of tenderness and richness. Large and extra-large claws are meatier with a robust, buttery flavor, making them favorites among seasoned seafood aficionados. Each size offers a unique eating experience, allowing diners to tailor their meal to their taste.

Equally important is Truluck’s dedication to sustainable fishing practices. Florida Stone Crabs are harvested with care to ensure the species thrives for generations. Skilled crabbers use humanely designed wooden traps, removing only one claw from each crab before carefully returning the crab to the ocean where it can regenerate over time. This method lets diners enjoy the flavorful claws without harming the crab, blending indulgence with ecological responsibility.

For more than 30 years, Truluck’s has partnered closely with dedicated crabbers to deliver the freshest Stone Crab possible—trap to table with every visit.

### More Culinary Delights on the Menu

While Stone Crab is the showstopper, Truluck’s menu offers a range of other exceptional dishes. The lobster bisque, a rich and creamy starter, perfectly balances deep lobster flavor with subtle notes of sherry and spices. Each spoonful features tender lobster chunks, creating a luxurious, velvety experience that sets the tone for the meal.

Another standout is the sea bass, boasting a flaky, buttery interior and a lightly crisped exterior. Its delicate flavor pairs harmoniously with seasonal accompaniments—a medley of fresh vegetables and a delicate sauce—offering a refined taste and texture experience.

Meanwhile, the Ora King Salmon from New Zealand delivers decadence with every bite.

Beyond seafood, Truluck’s serves hand-cut USDA prime steaks, aged a minimum of 30 days to develop rich flavor and exceptional tenderness. The menu also features TRU PEARLE oysters—hand-selected East Coast oysters raised with precision and care—and the ever-popular Prime King Crab, offering thick, succulent legs prepared with the same premium consistency that has made it a fan favorite for decades.

### An Unforgettable Dining Experience

Truluck’s is dedicated to creating memorable dining experiences. From the ritual of cracking Stone Crab claws and dipping them into mustard sauce to enjoying expertly prepared fish, lobster, and steaks, every detail is designed to delight the senses.

With seasonal offerings, meticulous preparation, and a commitment to sustainable sourcing, each visit to Truluck’s is more than just a meal—it’s a culinary journey.

Whether you’re indulging in the sweet, succulent Stone Crab, savoring the luxurious lobster bisque, enjoying the buttery Ora King Salmon, or delighting in the perfectly seared sea bass, Truluck’s delivers a dining experience that masterfully blends flavor, craftsmanship, and conscientious sourcing.

For Dallas diners, there’s no better way to celebrate Stone Crab season—or any special occasion—than at Truluck’s Ocean’s Finest Seafood and Crab.

Feds: Border Patrol vehicle tied to woman’s shooting in Brighton Park was buffed with a rag, not repaired

Prosecutors say a Border Patrol mechanic in Maine attempted to “wipe off” some scuff marks but did no actual repairs on an immigration agent’s SUV after he shot a woman in Brighton Park last month.

A court filing by the U.S. attorney’s office late Monday provided a more detailed timeline of what happened to the agent’s Chevrolet Tahoe after the Oct. 4 shooting that left Marimar Martinez wounded.

Martinez was charged with assault for allegedly intentionally ramming her car into the agent’s vehicle, leading him to open fire. Martinez’s attorneys have alleged that before they could inspect the agent’s vehicle, he was improperly allowed by a supervisor to drive it more than a thousand miles back to his home base in Maine.

U.S. District Judge Georgia Alexakis ordered the Tahoe brought back to Chicago on a flatbed truck and asked prosecutors for information on whether it had been repaired after the shooting.

According to the government’s filing, the Tahoe remained at the scene of the shooting for several hours as an FBI technician took photographs of the vehicle’s exterior. An FBI special agent then drove the Tahoe to the agency’s Chicago headquarters for processing, where the evidence technician inspected it, took additional photographs “and collected paint samples from the damaged areas,” the filing stated. The contents of the vehicle’s onboard computer were also downloaded and preserved.

After the processing was completed later that night, the agent was authorized to remove the vehicle from the FBI offices, according to the filing. Three days later, the agent drove it to the U.S. attorney’s office at the Dirksen U.S. Courthouse to participate in an interview with prosecutors.

Following the interview, his monthlong deployment to Chicago ended and he “began the two-and-a-half-day drive back to his station in Maine” in the Tahoe, according to the filing. The agent told prosecutors he did not “wash, repair, or alter” the vehicle before arriving at his station in Maine on October 10.

The agent’s ranking supervisor then authorized the vehicle’s repair, “understanding that the vehicle had been fully processed by the FBI and that, therefore, there was no further need to preserve the vehicle’s condition as evidence,” the filing stated.

On Oct. 14, a Border Patrol mechanic “began to work on the car to put it back into service,” using a brake cleaner on a shop rag to attempt to “wipe the scuff marks,” but used only light pressure and “did not repair any of scratches or dents on the vehicle,” the filing stated.

After receiving word from Chicago about the dispute over the car’s whereabouts, the supervisor at the Maine station ordered that the Tahoe not be serviced any further, the filing stated.

On Oct. 23, the vehicle was picked up and transported by flatbed truck to Chicago, where it was inspected by Martinez’s attorneys at the FBI’s Chicago Office.

Marimar Martinez, 30, has pleaded not guilty to a single count of using a dangerous weapon to interfere with federal officers in the course of their official duties. Also charged with the same count was Anthony Ian Santos Ruiz, 21, who prosecutors say used his SUV to ram the same Border Patrol vehicle. Ruiz also has entered a not guilty plea. A trial has been set for Feb. 2.

Prosecutors have said both Martinez and Ruiz were part of a convoy of cars that had been following agents on Oct. 4 as they conducted immigration enforcement operations in the Brighton Park neighborhood. Prior to the crash and shooting near 39th Street and Kedzie Avenue, Martinez had been broadcasting the pursuit on Facebook Live, “laying on her horn” and “yelling loudly” at the agents.

After both Martinez and Ruiz struck the officers’ vehicle, one agent jumped out and opened fire, hitting Martinez five times. Martinez drove off after the shooting, but paramedics discovered her and her vehicle at a repair shop about a mile away, according to a criminal complaint. She was later taken by ambulance to a local hospital and released after being treated for gunshot wounds.

Ruiz also drove away after the collisions, but law enforcement located him and his vehicle at a gas station about a half block away, the complaint stated.

All three agents involved were equipped with body cameras, but the camera of only one of the passengers was switched on at the time of the incident, according to the complaint. The body camera footage has not been released publicly. However, prosecutor Parente said in court that he had viewed the footage multiple times and that it showed, just before the shooting, one of the agents saying, “Do something, bitch,” while his hands were on his assault rifle.

Prosecutors have alleged in court that the actions of both Martinez and Ruiz were “extremely dangerous and extremely reckless,” putting both the officers and potentially innocent bystanders in harm’s way.

Fellowship: All Ascensions and Curses, explained

With Fellowship already in Early Access, players are jumping into the game’s most challenging system: Ascension and Curses. These are special modifiers, specifically designed to increase the challenge of dungeons and adventures in Fellowship, further adding depth to each run. Whether you are challenging yourself or pushing for a leaderboard spot, understanding these systems is crucial to success.

In this guide, we will break down every Ascension and Curse in Fellowship—from how each of them works to how you can overcome the challenges.

## Fellowship: What Are Ascensions and Curses?

Both Ascensions and Curses in Fellowship are difficulty modifiers appearing in ranked playthroughs. You will only encounter these while climbing the competitive ladder and **not** in Quickplay.

While both Ascensions and Curses modify adventures and dungeons, their effects differ in nature:

– **Ascensions:** These are generally considered regular difficulty escalations that test your potential and team synergy without making any drastic alterations to the overall gameplay.

– **Curses:** These modifiers completely alter how gameplay works, introducing varying mob behaviors, environmental hazards, and debuffs that require a complete change of strategy.

Both systems are designed to challenge players who want to climb the ranked ladder by testing their abilities as well as teamwork under pressure.

## How Ascensions and Curses Activate

In Fellowship, these modifiers activate depending on your rank:

– **Contender 4+:** 1x Ascension (Asha’s Dilemma)
– **Contender 7+:** 2x Ascensions (Asha’s Dilemma and Vayr’s Legacy)
– **Adept 1+:** 1x Curse and 1x Ascension
– **Adept 7+:** 2x Curses
– **Max level+:** 2x Ascensions and 2x Curses

## Fellowship: Ascensions

Ascensions are minor dungeon modifiers that make each dungeon run more systematic by affecting enemy behaviors, timers, and scoring without completely changing the core mechanics. Currently, during its Open Beta phase, dungeons can have **up to two active Ascensions** at the same time.

Once you reach **Contender 4**, these modifiers begin to show up and increase in number as you rank up.

### Confirmed Ascensions in Fellowship:

#### 1) Asha’s Dilemma (Contender 4+)
The first Ascension adds a **time limit** to every dungeon. Finishing under the time limit grants you full score and rewards. Exceeding the limit gradually reduces your rewards and score. To balance this challenge, you gain a **bonus Spirit Generation** capability once the time limit expires.

#### 2) Vayr’s Legacy (Contender 7+)
Unlocked with the first capstone dungeon, this Ascension makes enemies tougher by granting additional abilities to some mobs. These new movesets vary from dungeon to dungeon, typically making fights more complicated. Vayr’s Legacy requires you to be extremely aware of enemy movements and control the battlefield more efficiently.

#### 3) Asha’s Regret (Adept 1+)
At Adept rank, Asha’s Dilemma evolves into Asha’s Regret. The timer remains the same but removes the Spirit generation boost once the timer goes out. Instead, it **reduces dungeon completion rewards by one upgrade level**, creating a high penalty for running overtime.

## Fellowship: Curses

Curses are modifiers that drastically alter core gameplay, introducing both opportunities and hazards. This dynamic system rotates different Curses weekly from a pool of 10, providing fresh dungeon challenges regularly.

Curses start appearing at the rank of **Adept**, adding one Curse initially and increasing to two per Champion Rank.

### Available Curses in Fellowship:

#### 1) Binding Ice
A random player is afflicted and explodes after five seconds, immobilizing all players and enemies caught in the blast. If timed correctly, the explosion can be used strategically to immobilize enemies.

#### 2) Blood Shards
Enemies explode on death, dealing 2% of their max health as damage to the group, while granting you 1% experience (XP) per stack for 30 seconds (stacks up to 15). This makes killing enemies quickly risky, as the explosions can harm your team.

#### 3) Carnage
Distributes 10% of all incoming player damage among the group as Damage over Time (DoT), punishing careless group-wide damage. However, your party heals for 10% of the damage dealt, encouraging smarter play.

#### 4) Empowered Minions
Certain enemies spawn with increased health and power. Killing them grants your team **20% Movement Speed and Haste** for 40 seconds, encouraging aggressive play.

#### 5) Malevolent Spirits
Killing an enemy spawns a Malevolent Spirit that buffs nearby enemies with 50% Damage Reduction and 20% Haste until the spirit is neutralized.

#### 6) Meteor Rain
Meteors periodically fall from the sky, dealing major damage. Each meteor explosion grants your team two Spirit Ability Charges.

#### 7) Shadow Lord’s Trial
Enemies no longer give kill scores but drop Shadow Orbs instead. Collect 30 orbs to spawn and defeat the Emissary of the Shadow Lord to gain kill scores.

#### 8) Stone Skin
Regular non-boss enemies have 30% increased health and explode on death, dealing 15% of their maximum health as damage to nearby enemies, potentially causing chain reactions.

#### 9) Ultimatum
This Curse increases boss health and damage output by 10%, while reducing all player cooldowns by 10%, making fights longer and more intense but allowing more frequent ability use.

These Ascensions and Curses keep dungeon runs in Fellowship exciting and challenging, encouraging players to adapt and refine their strategies regularly.

North Korea’s top diplomat meets with Putin on a visit to Russia

MOSCOW (AP) — North Korea’s top diplomat visited the Kremlin on Monday for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, following last month’s meeting between the two countries’ leaders. This visit highlighted a show of deepening ties, coming as U.S. President Donald Trump visits Asia.

In a separate meeting with her Russian counterpart, North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui confirmed North Korea’s “unwavering understanding and support” for Putin’s war against Ukraine, North Korean state media reported Tuesday.

In recent months, North Korea has sent thousands of troops and large quantities of military equipment to Russia to support its war effort. This growing alignment underscores leader Kim Jong Un’s increasingly assertive foreign policy as he seeks to break out of isolation and position his country as part of a united front against the U.S.-led West.

North Korea has shunned any form of talks with Washington and Seoul since Kim’s high-stakes nuclear diplomacy with Trump collapsed in 2019 during the American president’s first term.

Putin and Kim met in Beijing last September after attending a major military parade in the Chinese capital, marking the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. During Monday’s talks, Putin asked North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui to convey his best wishes to Kim, noting that they had a very warm meeting, according to his televised remarks.

Before attending the Kremlin meeting with Putin, Choe held talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. Lavrov once again praised North Korean troops for fighting alongside the Russian military in the Kursk region after a surprise Ukrainian incursion.

“These heroic deeds will, of course, further strengthen the bonds of friendship and historical unity in our shared struggle for justice,” Lavrov said.

Choe noted “considerable progress” in relations between North Korea and Russia and confirmed Pyongyang’s support for “all measures” taken by Russia to defend its security interests and “eliminate the root cause” of its conflict with Ukraine, according to Russian and North Korean media reports.

North Korea’s official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) stated that Russian officials expressed Moscow’s support for all of Pyongyang’s efforts to “firmly defend its current status, security interests, and sovereign rights” during their meeting with Choe.

The two sides discussed expanding high-level exchanges and cooperation, as well as coordinating their diplomacy on unspecified “major issues of mutual concern,” KCNA said.

According to South Korean assessments, North Korea has sent around 15,000 troops to Russia since last fall, along with large quantities of military equipment, including artillery and ballistic missiles, to support Moscow’s military action in Ukraine. Kim has also agreed to send thousands of military construction workers and deminers to Russia’s Kursk region.

Since the collapse of his diplomacy with Trump in 2019 due to disagreements over U.S.-led economic sanctions, Kim has focused on expanding the capabilities of his nuclear-armed military.

Last month, Kim suggested he could return to talks if Washington drops its demand for North Korea’s denuclearization, after Trump repeatedly expressed hopes for new diplomacy.

Trump taps Mark Savaya for Iraq special envoy

I’m pleased to announce that Mark Savaya will serve as Special Envoy to the Republic of Iraq. Mark’s deep understanding of the Iraq-U.S. relationship, along with his connections in the region, will help advance the interests of the American people.

Mark played a key role in my campaign in Michigan, where he, along with others, helped secure a record vote among Muslim Americans. Congratulations, Mark!” Trump posted.

Savaya is the owner of Leaf and Bud, a marijuana dispensary described as the largest in the Detroit area. He is also reportedly very close to Trump and his team, with his Instagram featuring many photos of him alongside the president.

One Detroit reporter detailed past donations from Savaya to Trump, including roughly $25,000 to his unsuccessful 2020 campaign.

While Trump has not publicly discussed Iraq as much as other Middle Eastern countries during the first year of his second term, his attention has certainly been focused on the region.

### Israel Strikes Gaza and Halts Humanitarian Aid After Claiming Hamas Violated Ceasefire

Most recently, Trump facilitated a landmark peace deal between Israel and Hamas, ending a war that lasted about two years. However, that deal appeared to be in jeopardy earlier on Sunday, after Israel claimed that Hamas terrorists fired upon IDF troops.

‘9-1-1’ season nine: Mark Consuelos sends two beloved members of the 118 to space, chaos ensues

“9-1-1” fans, get ready—season nine is set to be out of this world. Literally.

ABC has just dropped the trailer for the upcoming premiere, and it promises an exciting new chapter. Mark Consuelos guest stars as CEO Tripp Houser, who finds himself in a life-threatening situation when he gets swallowed by a huge whale while kayaking. Fortunately, the brave team at the 118 is on the scene to rescue him, with Hen (played by Aisha Hinds) administering CPR.

Following his rescue, Houser calls Hen a hero and offers to reward her by sending her to space—with a guest of her choice. Hen first asks her wife Karen (Tracie Thoms), who declines. Undeterred, Hen convinces Athena (Angela Bassett) to join her on this extraordinary voyage.

As the rest of the 118 gather to watch the launch, things take a dramatic turn. Houser is warned about an impending geomagnetic storm just as the spaceship is about to take off. Despite advice from his experts to postpone the launch, he insists on going ahead. Unfortunately, all contact with the ship is lost due to the storm, plunging everyone on the ground into chaos.

Recently, On The Red Carpet caught up with Ryan Guzman, who plays Eddie, for some insight on the new season. “There’s always something crazy going on, and we’ve got something crazy going on this season too,” he shared. Guzman hinted that viewers should prepare themselves, especially for the first three episodes.

“The first one will kind of ease you into it. The second and third ones—you’re definitely clutching your pearls. You’re definitely understanding the weight of the environment we’re in. I’m trying not to give too much away because I really, really want to tell you! But there’s so many things at play. And one of our main leads is going to be in a dire situation,” he teased.

Indeed, the trailer closes with a tense moment: Hen grabbing onto Athena, holding on as tightly as she can while Athena drifts up and out of the spaceship. Talk about a cliffhanger!

“9-1-1” premieres on October 9 at 8 PM EST / 7 PM CST on ABC and will stream the following day on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. For those who may not know, The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of ABC.

Be sure to mark your calendars for what promises to be a thrilling and suspense-filled new season!
