YBN Nahmir Blames Almighty Jay for YBN Split, Claims It Was Because He ‘Almost Got My Mom Killed’

YBN Nahmir is pushing back on Almighty Jay’s claim that the YBN collective split because of gang activity. In a video posted to TikTok, Nahmir addressed Jay’s recent comments suggesting their fallout stemmed from Nahmir moving to Los Angeles and “hanging around gangbangers.”

The “Rubbin Off the Paint” rapper denied that narrative and said the real reason behind the breakup was far more serious and personal. “Okay, if you gonna say that, let me say what the fuck it really is then,” he said. “YBN broke up because Nahmir was hanging around gangbangers? No. YBN broke up because you did some foul ass shit, and almost got my mom killed, and I ain’t say nothing about it on the Internet until now.”

Almighty Jay responded to Nahmir’s rebuttal by repeatedly mentioning an alleged incident where he was pistol-whipped and stripped of his jewelry in a studio earlier this year. However, nothing is explicitly said about whatever it is that almost got Nahmir’s mother killed. It remains unclear what Almighty Jay is alluding to regarding Nahmir “bringing up shit that happened in 2019. I was 20, moving like a goofy.” He didn’t directly address Nahmir’s claim about his mother but appeared to downplay the situation.

The two rappers, once part of the trio YBN (which also included YBN Cordae), rose to fame in the late 2010s before disbanding in 2020. Cordae distanced himself from the YBN moniker as his solo career took off, while Nahmir and Jay’s relationship appeared to deteriorate over the years amid sporadic social media tension.

While the exact incident Nahmir referred to remains unclear, his latest comments have reignited public interest in the group’s messy split and suggest that behind-the-scenes issues ran deeper than fans initially believed.

Avengers: Doomsday directors hint at a connection between Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man and Doctor Doom, and tease a bombshell Secret Wars twist

**Avengers: Doomsday – Russo Brothers Drop Intriguing Hints About the Next MCU Chapter**

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo, known for their work on major MCU films, have been teasing fans with cryptic clues about their upcoming project, *Avengers: Doomsday*. The latest hint comes from a social media post by their production company, AGBO Films, which includes imagery that may reveal significant details about the plot of *Doomsday* and its immediate sequel, *Avengers: Secret Wars*.

The post, highlighted by ScreenTime, features two AGBO employees standing back to back—one wearing an Iron Man mask and the other donning a Doctor Doom mask. The camera slowly pans around them, suggesting they could represent two sides of the same coin or possibly a transformative connection between the characters.

Adding to the intrigue, several key costume pieces appear in the background: outfits belonging to Sue Storm, Doctor Doom, and Franklin Richards are displayed together. This visual follows up on the post-credits scene from *The Fantastic Four: First Steps*, where Sue encounters Doom speaking with a young Franklin Richards.

But the significance of these costumes goes beyond mere fan service. In the 2015 *Secret Wars* comic event, Doctor Doom saves the Marvel Multiverse from total annihilation by forming Battleworld—a composite reality made from remnants of various worlds stitched together. On Battleworld, Doom rules supreme. Notably, Sue Storm serves as his queen, and her children, Franklin and Valeria Richards, become his step-children, delivering a piercing insult to his longtime rival, Reed Richards.

Could the Russo brothers be hinting that a similar dynamic will play out in their adaptation of *Secret Wars*? If the film borrows heavily from the comics—as expected—this complex relationship could be central to the story. While it’s too early to confirm, these subtle hints certainly build anticipation.

The Russo brothers have been steadily ramping up excitement for *Avengers: Doomsday* and the following *Secret Wars* film through various social media posts. Among the teases is one that appears to confirm fan theories suggesting *Doomsday* might serve as an *Avengers vs. X-Men* showdown, promising an epic clash of iconic Marvel teams.

Stay tuned as more information emerges about these highly anticipated MCU entries!

Newsom claims he ‘never had’ concerns about Biden’s capacity — except for one glaring incident

California Gov. Gavin Newsom claimed Sunday that he “never had” any doubt about former President Joe Biden’s mental capacity to run the country—except after one infamous California fundraiser.

At the June 2024 fundraiser in Los Angeles, the then-president failed to recognize megawatt celebrity, co-host, and longtime friend George Clooney, leaving the actor “shaken to the core,” according to a book co-authored by CNN’s Jake Tapper.

When asked on NBC’s “Meet the Press” whether he ever had concerns about Biden’s decline in the Oval Office, Newsom insisted, “I never had that.”

“The one exception, as it relates to the interaction I had with him, that gave me pause, one, was the fundraiser in Southern California,” the governor added. “And all of us were a little taken aback. But we also were mindful that [Biden] had been in Europe twice in about a week.”

Fewer than two weeks after the fundraiser, Biden participated in a televised debate with Donald Trump. His disastrous showing paved the way for the Democrat to drop out of the race less than a month later.

On Sunday, Newsom at times appeared to ignore what nearly the entire nation—including many of Biden’s closest allies—saw at the time.

The term-limited California governor instead highlighted Biden’s top achievements, such as the CHIPS and Science Act and the COVID-19 pandemic recovery, as examples of the former president’s abilities in office.

“I just talked to the president a few hours ago. I’ve been privileged to have a relationship with the president,” Newsom said.

Still, the governor—who recently declared that Biden “was one of the most successful presidents in the last century” and insisted, “I will defend that to my grave”—admitted that, “with grace and humility,” he privately raised alarms about the 46th president’s debate debacle.

Asked why he didn’t go public with those concerns, Newsom replied, “For me, it wasn’t my job to go out there. My job was to let [Biden], give him the space.”

“I just have a different approach,” he added.

Newsom also dodged a question about whether he believed Biden was fit for another four years in the White House before he dropped out.

“I think my focus was, frankly, situational,” he said, sidestepping the question. “It was making sure Donald Trump didn’t get back into office, to experience everything that we’re experiencing today. And there was no interaction I had that suggested otherwise.”

During his wide-ranging interview, the Golden State Democrat also addressed his recent admission that he’s considering a run for president in 2028.

Asked why he wants to be president, Newsom shot back, “I’m not suggesting I am running. [There’s] nothing I dislike more than a politician that sits there and lies to you. And we all just sit there rolling our eyes, going, ‘Give me a break.’ We’ll see what happens.”

Ironically, Newsom had once drawn speculation that he could mount a 2024 primary challenge against Biden but repeatedly rejected that at the time and worked to present a united front with the 46th president.

Trump says he expects to reach trade deal with China on his Asia trip

President Trump is scheduled to arrive soon in Japan, where new Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi is banking on building a friendly personal relationship with the U.S. leader to ease trade tensions. The meeting is an early diplomatic test for Takaichi, the first woman to lead Japan. She took office only last week and has a tenuous coalition backing her.

Mr. Trump spent Sunday in Malaysia, where he participated in a regional summit of Southeast Asian nations and reached preliminary trade agreements with Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. While en route to Japan, he returned to the press cabin on Air Force One along with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer.

Mr. Trump said he would talk about the “great friendship” between the U.S. and Japan during his visit. “I hear phenomenal things” about Takaichi, he said, noting her closeness with former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, with whom Mr. Trump had a good relationship during his first term. “It’s going to be very good,” he added. “That really helps Japan and the United States.”

Mr. Trump also expressed optimism about reaching a trade agreement with China. Officials from the world’s two largest economies said Sunday that they had reached an initial consensus for Mr. Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping to try to finalize during a high-stakes meeting later in the week.

“I have a lot of respect for President Xi,” Mr. Trump told reporters on Air Force One. “I think we’re going to come away with a deal,” he said. He added that he might sign a final deal on TikTok on Thursday. Treasury Secretary Bessent said on “Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan” that a TikTok deal announced last month is set to be finalized on Thursday during the Trump-Xi meeting.

After Japan, Trump’s Asian tour will conclude in South Korea, where he is expected to meet with Xi on the sidelines of the Pacific Rim summit, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum.

On other matters, Mr. Trump rejected the possibility of running for vice president as a way to get back to the presidency, saying, “I’d be allowed to do it” but wouldn’t because “it’s too cute.” Steve Bannon, a Trump ally, has repeatedly said the president could serve a third term despite a constitutional prohibition. Mr. Trump himself has flirted with the idea but said on Air Force One, “I haven’t really thought about it.”

He praised Rubio and Vance as potential future Republican candidates. “I’m not sure if anybody would run against those two. I think if they ever formed a group, it would be unstoppable,” Mr. Trump said.

Mr. Trump also said he would be willing to extend his trip if there was a chance to talk to reclusive North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Since South Korea is the president’s last stop before returning to the U.S., “it’s pretty easy to do,” he noted.

Mr. Trump’s overtures to reconnect with Kim have gone unanswered. “If he wants to meet, I’ll be in South Korea,” Trump said.

There are many security issues in the region, including access to the South China Sea and the future of Taiwan. However, Mr. Trump’s focus has undoubtedly been on trade and his desire to realign the international economy under his vision of “America first.” For the most part, that means tariffs, or at least the threat of them.

Mr. Trump has frequently used taxes on imports from allies and adversaries alike in an effort to boost domestic manufacturing or seek more favorable terms. However, his unilateral power to enact tariffs remains contested. The president is awaiting a Supreme Court decision in a case that could solidify or limit his authority.

The president is flying to Tokyo from Kuala Lumpur, where he attended the annual summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). He participated in a ceremonial signing of an expanded ceasefire between Thailand and Cambodia, which fought earlier this year. Trump helped pressure both countries to stop their conflict by threatening to withhold trade agreements.

The ASEAN summit wasn’t a guaranteed part of any president’s itinerary but served as an opportunity for Mr. Trump to reengage with a critical region for the first time since returning to office.

While on his way to Japan, Mr. Trump posted on Truth Social that Argentine President Javier Milei was “doing a wonderful job” as his party beat expectations in midterm elections. “Our confidence in him was justified by the People of Argentina,” Mr. Trump wrote.

Trump ally Milei essentially received a vote of confidence to pursue his policies aimed at breaking long-standing inflation and economic problems in Argentina. A libertarian seeking to unlock free-market forces, Milei has endeared himself to Mr. Trump’s “Make America Great Again” movement with an appearance this year at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in the U.S.

The Trump administration provided a $20 billion credit swap line to bolster Milei ahead of the election and was looking to provide an additional $20 billion to support the value of Argentina’s peso.

Baker Mayfield’s wife Emily reveals Bucs QB’s personality trait that makes him ideal father figure

Baker Mayfield has been married to his wife, Emily Mayfield, for more than five years, and they share a healthy relationship. The couple often publicly express their appreciation for one another. Emily frequently compliments the quarterback’s game-day outfits on Instagram, while Baker admires her during interviews.

Beyond being partners, Baker and Emily are parents to their daughter, Kova, who was born in April 2024. She holds a special place in her father’s heart, a bond Emily discussed in detail on “Monday Night Countdown.”

During the interview, Baker joined Emily, and host Michelle Beisner-Buck asked Emily what kind of dad she felt Baker has been to Kova. Emily praised Baker for being “such a good dad” and highlighted a key character trait that makes him an ideal father.

“I’ve always said it,” Emily shared. “Baker is not for everyone. He’s a little polarizing on the field. He’s kind of hard and harsh in certain circumstances, but he’s such a softy, so I knew he’d be a good dad.”

Emily also described the special bond Baker shares with Kova and their dynamic as father and daughter. “But he has that little girl wrapped around his finger, and it’s a very sweet dynamic they have,” she said. “She loves her daddy.”

### How Baker and Emily’s Romance Began

Baker Mayfield also reflected on his early dating days with Emily, revealing the challenges he faced to win his first date. According to the quarterback, it was an old friend from The University of Oklahoma, Patrick Haye, who played matchmaker by approaching Emily to get her number.

“Patrick, of course, being a good friend, asked her if I could have her number,” Baker recalled. “She said no. So, I went to Instagram, hit the follow button, no follow back. Hit the unfollow button, hit the follow again, and no follow back. Tried to slide into the DMs, no response. At this point, feeling pretty rejected. Finally, you (Emily) gave Patrick the ‘OK, I can get your number.’”

The couple dated for almost six months before getting engaged. They tied the knot in July 2019 in a romantic ceremony at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, exchanging vows in a beautiful setting.

Getting divorced? Chances are you’ll marry again, Pew says

Divorced Americans might not have to worry about being alone—chances are remarriage is in their future, according to an analysis of federal data by the Pew Research Center.

While divorce has declined and marriage rates have remained steady in recent years, divorce still shapes a large part of U.S. culture. About 1.8 million Americans got divorced in 2023, according to Pew, reshaping how families and households are formed—often in surprising ways.

Two-thirds of divorced Americans marry again, according to the Pew analysis released Thursday, which focused on what it called in its report “eight facts” about divorce in the U.S. Men and women are remarrying at a fairly similar rate, though divorced men are slightly more likely to remarry than women, Pew found.

A slight caveat from the analysis showed that widows are less likely to remarry than women who have been divorced. Additionally, Pew found that 46% of divorced Americans who have remarried have a child with their current spouse.

“A sizeable fraction of Americans who’ve divorced have gone on to form new families,” lead study author and Pew research associate Jake Hays told CBS News.

For those who do remarry, the economic benefits can greatly outweigh the single life. Pew found that the median household wealth, or net worth, of divorced working adults was $98,700 in 2023, while those in their first marriage had a median household wealth of $326,900. Remarried people had a slightly higher net worth of $329,100, Pew found.

Bari Z. Weinberger commented, “Having gone through the experience of divorce, people entering a second marriage tend to approach it with more clarity and foresight.”

Often, those about to remarry have questions about whether their alimony will end, and they also ask about prenuptial agreements, she said. Weinberger urged those entering second marriages to set clear expectations “when assets from a prior marriage are involved.”

However, some experts caution that remarriage might not lead to “happily ever after” after all. Professors Rosie Shrout of the University of British Columbia and Dana Weiser of Texas Tech University research “gray divorces,” a term referring to couples aged 50 and older who get divorced.

They noted that many of these gray divorces are actually second marriages. In general, there is a higher divorce rate for second marriages compared to first marriages.

Pew researchers found that, overall, the divorce rate has continued to decline since the 1980s, with gray divorces being the exception. Although the gray divorce rate has leveled off recently—after rising from 1990 to 2008—Pew found.

This leveling off could be due to several reasons, Shrout and Weiser explained. There are fewer marriages today compared to previous generations, and some older people are in committed relationships without marriage.

Just like younger couples, cohabitation without marriage is an increasingly popular choice among older adults. There are also couples who choose to live apart—referred to as “living apart together”—where they maintain separate homes while in a committed relationship, the professors added.

Shrout and Weiser emphasized that older adults are often “focused on the positives and the things that make them happy, like connecting with people they love and care about and spending time doing activities they enjoy.”
