Doug Christie indicates change is coming to struggling Sacramento Kings

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Sacramento Kings coach Doug Christie indicated that change is coming for the struggling team, describing the path ahead as “bumpy” while emphasizing that the organization is united in its direction.

“Change is hard,” Christie said. “It’s hard. But understand and we understand that we’re not there yet. But we’re about to work at it like crazy. We will totally get there. And it will be bumpy. It will because change is like that. But buckle up. For the real ones, buckle up.”

Christie’s remarks appeared to be a response to reports suggesting the Kings are ready to begin a full rebuild by potentially trading stars such as Domantas Sabonis, Zach LaVine, and DeMar DeRozan.

He spoke for about two and a half minutes prior to Tuesday’s game against the Denver Nuggets. “When I see the hate, the haters, the fakers — all you guys — you keep that energy,” Christie continued. “That’s good. You keep that. And you know who you are because while you’re doing that, we’re gonna be working. And while you’re doing that, we’re gonna be growing. And while you do that, eventually, we’re gonna be coming the Kings Show. Sac proud, know that.”

The Kings entered Tuesday’s game with a 3-7 record. Christie, who played for Sacramento in the early 2000s, is in his first full season as head coach. He took over on an interim basis after serving as an assistant coach when Mike Brown was fired in December and was retained last spring.

“We’re gonna get it right,” Christie said.

  • Giftable Items: You can trade bundles, game passes, or battle passes. To view what a bundle contains, simply tap the item during the trade for full transparency.
  • Trait Rerolls: These can be traded if they were not obtained from paid bundles. Entire bundles that include trait rerolls can also be traded since they are considered giftable.
  • Skins: All skins can be traded, whether limited or not.
  • Familiars: Any Familiar can be traded regardless of rarity, demand, or tier. You can reset the stat, variation, and corruption of a Familiar after trading. Note that Vanguard Familiars are an exception and cannot be traded.

How to Trade in Anime Vanguards

“No, there won’t be a reboot,” Romano, 67, told The Post exclusively. “The obvious is Peter and Doris and one of the kids — they’re no longer with us. We’re all heartbroken. They’re a big part of the show, the dynamic. Without them, I don’t know what the dynamic is. We love the show too much, we respect it too much to even try to do it.”

Brad Garrett echoed similar sentiments during the premiere of Disney Pixar’s “Elio” in Los Angeles over the summer. “There is no show without the parents,” he told People. “They were the catalyst, and to do anything that would resemble that wouldn’t be right to the audiences or to the loyal fan base. And it was about those two families, and you can’t get around that.”

“I know [the reboot] won’t happen, but 30 years later, I got very lucky to get on that bus,” Garrett, 65, added. “I’m very grateful.”

Pastrnak scores twice, hits 400-goal milestone as Bruins beat Maple Leafs

BOSTON (AP) — David Pastrnak scored twice to move past 400 career goals and added an assist as the Boston Bruins won their seventh consecutive game, 5-3, over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday night.

Pavel Zacha, Hampus Lindholm, and Alex Steeves also scored for the Bruins, while Jeremy Swayman made 30 saves. Charlie McAvoy contributed a pair of assists.

For the Maple Leafs, Steven Lorentz scored a short-handed goal. Bobby McMann and Oliver Ekman-Larsson also found the back of the net. Toronto has now lost three games in a row.

Pastrnak’s milestone goal came just 49 seconds into the second period, marking the 400th of his career and giving the Bruins a 4-1 lead. He added a power-play goal at 9:48 of the third period. Pastrnak is now the sixth player to score 400 or more goals wearing a Bruins jersey and sits just one goal shy of fifth-place Rick Middleton on the franchise’s all-time goal-scoring list.

Alex Steeves’ goal was his first as a Bruin after spending four years in the Toronto organization.

High-scoring Toronto forward Auston Matthews did not return for the third period due to a lower-body injury.

In goal for Toronto, Anthony Stolarz started but gave up three first-period goals on 11 shots and was replaced by Dennis Hildeby in the second period, who made 19 saves. The team later announced Stolarz has sustained an upper-body injury.

Morgan Rielly recorded an assist on McMann’s power-play goal with 1:02 remaining in the second period, passing Tomas Kaberle for sixth place on Toronto’s career assist list with 438 assists—second among defensemen.

WakeMed-UnitedHealthcare contract talks could disrupt Medicare Advantage coverage in Raleigh

**WakeMed and UnitedHealthcare Face Impasse Over Medicare Advantage Plans**

WakeMed announced on Tuesday that UnitedHealthcare will no longer cover its Medicare Advantage plans starting Saturday, Nov. 15th, unless the two organizations can reach a new agreement. The current contracts are set to expire on Saturday, and both parties remain in the midst of tense negotiations.

Officials with UnitedHealthcare told WRAL News they are focused on reaching an agreement that is affordable for individuals and employers. In a statement, UnitedHealthcare said, “WakeMed is demanding a near 40% price hike, including a 30% rate increase in just the first year of our contract that would make it the most expensive health system in the Raleigh market. WakeMed’s proposal would increase health care costs for North Carolinians and employers by more than $94 million over two years.”

UnitedHealthcare stated they are proposing “meaningful rate increases that continue to reimburse WakeMed at market-competitive rates.”

Meanwhile, WakeMed officials told WRAL News they are working diligently to negotiate with UnitedHealthcare, with the “intent of staying in-network.” However, they stated that UnitedHealthcare has “walked away from discussions related to their Medicare Advantage plans.”

“On November 7, UHC notified WakeMed that they would no longer participate in negotiations related to their Medicare Advantage plans. As a result, we expect that WakeMed hospitals, outpatient clinics, urgent cares, and physician specialists will be out of network for UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plans beginning November 15, 2025,” WakeMed officials said.

WakeMed emphasized they “remain at the table in good faith with the hope that UHC will join us to come to a fair agreement with a shared commitment to patients.”

“We cannot accept the terms UHC has proposed to date, as they put WakeMed at risk for being able to take care of our community and deliver on our mission of caring for all. With the rising supply, equipment, and labor costs, UHC’s proposal with no reimbursement increase to keep pace with inflation for the next four years is not only unacceptable but impossible,” the statement continued.

WakeMed officials also claimed the rates paid by UnitedHealthcare are “far below” those paid to other Triangle hospitals for the same services. “This disadvantages WakeMed in many ways when trying to compete to hire nurses, physicians, and pay competitive benefits. It also limits our business development initiatives.”

UnitedHealthcare officials noted that if an agreement is not reached by Saturday, WakeMed’s facilities and specialty providers will be out of network for employer-sponsored and individual commercial plans, as well as Medicare Advantage plans.

Patients affected by these changes are advised to follow updates from both WakeMed and UnitedHealthcare as negotiations continue.
