**St. Paul School Levy Referendum Update**

St. Paul voters went to the polls on Tuesday to decide on a school levy referendum proposing an increase in property taxes to fund St. Paul Public Schools for the next ten years. Early Tuesday night results were not yet available.

The referendum seeks to increase the district’s general education revenue by $1,073 per pupil annually for ten years, starting with taxes payable in 2026. This amount will be adjusted annually for inflation.

The ballot language reads:
“The board of Independent School District No. 625 (Saint Paul), Minnesota has proposed to increase the School District’s general education revenue by $1,073 per pupil, subject to an annual increase at the rate of inflation. The proposed new referendum revenue authorization would be first levied in 2025 for taxes payable in 2026 and applicable for ten (10) years unless otherwise revoked or reduced as provided by law.”

Voters previously approved a similar levy in 2018, which provided $1,180 per student, or $18.6 million per year plus inflation, for 10 years. The current proposal would add to the existing levy rather than replace it.

According to Tom Sager, the district’s executive chief of financial services, under state law, the school board may renew the 2018 levy as it expires without returning to voters.

If approved, the average St. Paul homeowner with a median-value home will see a $309 annual increase in property taxes, equivalent to about $26 per month. However, the total property tax impact for next year won’t be finalized until December, when city, county, and school district levies are set.

Neighborhood tax impacts vary. Homeowners in St. Anthony Park, Battle Creek, Sunray, Highwood, and downtown St. Paul may experience the smallest percentage increases, though still several hundred dollars. In contrast, neighborhoods such as the North End, Payne-Phalen, Thomas-Dale/Frogtown, and the West Side may face the highest percentage increases.

Without this additional funding, district officials anticipate budget cuts of at least $37 million for the 2026-27 school year. The new levy is expected to generate approximately $37.2 million annually.

The district has actively promoted the referendum, spending $59,977 on informational materials as of October 29. Including the required mailed notice, total expenses for publicizing the referendum amount to $108,257.

Deflating Portland: Why Antifa Went from Black Blok to Inflatable Costumes

Portland’s Shift from Militancy to Mascots: A Calculated Rebrand

Portland, Oregon has been a flashpoint of violence since 2020. Entire city blocks were under siege, law enforcement seemed to vanish into the shadows, and neighborhoods literally burned. Leading much of the mayhem was Antifa, clad in black from head to toe, faces hidden behind masks, and bodies armored for chaos. They moved in packs, swarming anyone they deemed the “enemy.” They assaulted individuals, destroyed property, and created fear under the guise of activism.

The local police did little to stop them, and when law enforcement did attempt to intervene, the mobs scattered like smoke. Arrests were rare, accountability even rarer.

Fast-forward to 2025. For over one hundred days, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) processing facility in Portland has again been the site of nightly unrest—waves of vandalism, confrontation, and small-scale rioting by Antifa and their left-leaning sympathizers.

But something peculiar has happened in recent weeks. The same militants who once dressed to strike fear into the hearts of citizens and police are now prancing around in inflatable animal costumes. The transformation from militant to mascot is so absurd it almost seems comedic. Yet beneath the humor lies something calculated.

A Strategic Shift in Optics

Why the change? It’s all about optics. When intimidation loses its impact, propaganda pivots. Antifa’s shift from black bloc to inflatable dinosaurs, frogs, and other costumed characters is not random—it’s a rebrand. Like any marketing campaign that loses traction, this is a strategy to soften the image, manipulate perception, and reclaim control of the narrative.

They went from militant to dinosaur. From revolutionary to frog.

The change isn’t ideological; it’s theatrical. They’ve learned that the American public has grown weary of masked mobs dressed for war. So, they traded their armor for absurdity, hoping the image of “playful protest” would replace the memory of burning cities.

A Different Mask Hides the Same Face

But make no mistake: a costume does not cleanse intent. Beneath the inflatable exterior beats the same heart of aggression, the same hatred of order, and the same appetite for chaos. It is merely a new disguise—a softer visual, but with the same mission to silence dissent and destabilize communities.

A person in a giant blow-up costume may seem harmless, even comical. But John Wayne Gacy also dressed as a clown. Did his costume make him any less dangerous? Of course not.

In the same way, these costumed agitators are no less committed to destruction than they were when they wore tactical gear. It’s the newest act in their political theatrics—they simply did a costume change.

The optics may have softened, but the purpose has not. The same people who once sought to strike fear now seek to distort perception. They’ve replaced terror with mockery—not of themselves, but of the system they oppose.

Their costumes are not meant to lighten the atmosphere but to disarm the observer.

A Cloak of Distraction and Deception

These costumes serve several purposes.

First, they lower the psychological guard of both bystanders and authorities. When someone sees a mob of people in inflatable dinosaur suits, their brain interprets it as entertainment, not anarchy. The laughter and confusion are intentional.

Second, these suits enhance anonymity even more effectively than the old black uniforms. Full-body inflatables conceal not only faces but also height, weight, posture, and even gender—key details that law enforcement relies on to identify suspects.

And with their oversized air chambers, they create space for hiding objects that could easily become weapons.

In effect, these new costumes provide better cover and better concealment, while projecting an image of harmlessness. It is a psychological shield disguised as a joke.

The Same Streets, The Same Violence

Now, the streets near Portland’s ICE facility are lined with these surreal figures—inflatable dinosaurs, unicorns, and frogs waving banners and chanting slogans. The media calls it “performance protest.”

But the chants are the same. The vandalism is the same. The violence is the same.

The only thing that has changed is the wardrobe.

If the goal was to make coordinated attacks look less serious, to turn organized lawlessness into a street carnival, then mission accomplished. But the danger remains.

These are not whimsical demonstrations. They are calculated distractions designed to mask criminal behavior beneath layers of latex and air.

The Danger of Mockery

The most dangerous form of manipulation is not fear—it’s ridicule. When chaos can make you laugh, it becomes easier to ignore.

That’s what makes this new phase of Antifa’s evolution so effective. Beneath the bright colors and oversized smiles lies the same ideological rot that burned Portland just a few years ago. It has not been defeated; it has merely adapted and morphed into something a lot less intimidating on the eyes.

Deflating the Facade

The irony of Antifa’s new image is almost poetic. The same movement that once cloaked itself in darkness now hides behind inflatable costumes, literal shells of hot air.

They are not symbols of joy or creativity. They are symbols of deception. Symbols of a literal wolf in sheep’s clothing.

So, when you see the footage from Portland and think it looks ridiculous, remember this: that ridiculousness is the point. It’s not innocence; it’s strategy.

Beneath the silly costumes, the bouncy characters, and the roar of air pumps lies the same force that once set cities ablaze—and they are ready to do it again.

Don’t be fooled by the costume. It may have changed shape, but the intent inside has not.

Author’s Note

It is easy to laugh at absurdity, and that is exactly why this tactic is being used. The moment truth becomes a joke, tyranny finds cover. It disguises itself.

What is happening in Portland is not evolution—it is deception.

When anarchy dresses as comedy, the wise learn to look past the costume and see the true motivation of the character inside.

Truth is not found in what we are shown; it is found in what they hope we will overlook.

‘I’ve never seen anything like it’: Bangor striker scores unreal goal

Sophomore striker Georgie Stephenson has scored numerous goals in her short Bangor High School career, but none as memorable as her recent goal in the 4-1 victory over Camden Hills of Rockport. The Class A North final took place on Tuesday night at Cameron Stadium.

Early in the second half, with Bangor holding a 2-1 lead, a scramble unfolded in the Brunswick penalty area. The ball rolled toward the outside left-hand side of the penalty area, where Stephenson spun around and chipped it with her weaker left foot. The ball floated over the head of goalie Eliza Gallant and landed in the upper far corner of the net. This marked Stephenson’s 35th goal of the season.

“I’ve never seen anything like it,” said Bangor coach Jay Kemble. “Left foot, outside the goal box, back over her shoulder into that right corner. She is such a tremendous athlete. She is so powerful with her left and right foot. She does a lot of really, really good things.”

Camden Hills coach Meredith Messer described the goal as “gorgeous” after the game. “You can’t expect a goalkeeper to save that,” Messer added.

Stephenson said she put “every last ounce of energy” she had into the play. “I sprinted to it. She beat me to it and, honestly, it was just effort,” she explained. “I just whacked it. I placed it.”

7 arrested after lengthy SWAT operation in Greeley stemming from traffic stop

The Greeley Police Department arrested seven individuals on Monday following a vehicle pursuit that began after a traffic stop.

The incident started when a vehicle fled from officers during a routine traffic stop. This led law enforcement to track the vehicle to a nearby residence.

Upon arrival, the occupants inside the residence refused to surrender to the authorities, prompting further police action.

Ultimately, seven people were taken into custody as a result of the standoff. The Greeley Police Department continues to investigate the matter.

Bangor girls soccer wins third-straight A North title over Camden Hills

**Bangor Girls Soccer Advances to Class A State Championship with 4-1 Victory Over Camden Hills**

Bangor girls soccer coach Jay Kemble knew the Class A North final against Camden Hills was going to be a battle. However, after watching his team practice on Monday, he was confident they were in the right mindset.

“They were really loose,” Kemble said. “They were having fun out here. They just had that right energy that you want them to have going into a game like tonight.”

The defending state champions showed they were ready from the start, scoring just 42 seconds into the match and never trailing en route to a 4-1 victory over the second-seeded Windjammers. This marked the third straight year these squads have met in the regional final, with No. 1 Bangor winning all three matchups.

Senior Gabby Roy led the way for the Rams, scoring twice in the first half. Sophomore Georgie Stephenson added a goal in the 47th minute with a left-footed shot off the right post before assisting junior Gabby Gordon for a goal in the 51st minute. Camden Hills’ lone goal came from freshman Elsa Schwalm in the 11th minute.

With this win, Bangor advances to the Class A state championship game against Scarborough at Messalonskee High School. The match is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, marking the third consecutive Class A final showdown between the Rams and the Red Storm.

Camden Hills came into the game riding an impressive six-game shutout streak. The Windjammers finish their season with a 15-2 record, with both losses handed to them by Bangor.

“We’ve got goal scorers,” Kemble said. “We had talked about the overload that Camden does defensively to take away our right side, so we had to switch the field and get the ball to the backside, hoping that they were open. Gabby Roy has such tremendous speed and athleticism that she was able to get the ball.”

Junior Emily Caulkins made six saves for Bangor, while freshman Eliza Gallant recorded three saves for Camden Hills.

BNB Strengthens Above $1,120, Ethereum Targets $4,200, While BlockDAG’s $435M Presale Defines 2025’s Bullish Crypto Trend

Crypto Presales: Ethereum Holds Key Levels, Binance Coin Builds Strength, and BlockDAG’s Near $435M Presale Positions It Among 2025’s Most Bullish Crypto Coins

The 2025 crypto cycle is shifting from hype to evidence-based conviction. Ethereum (ETH) continues to anchor institutional confidence, holding near $3,950 while traders monitor liquidity inflows and potential resistance around $4,200. Binance Coin (BNB) shows disciplined recovery momentum, maintaining strength above $1,120 as its trading outlook improves with renewed market participation.

But the true story redefining the market belongs to BlockDAG (BDAG), a Layer-1 project merging academic precision with real adoption. With nearly $435 million raised, a remaining supply of 4.5 billion coins, and guidance from Dr. Maurice Herlihy, the MIT and Harvard computer scientist known for inventing modern distributed computing principles, BlockDAG is setting a new standard for 2025’s bullish crypto coins.

BNB Holds Steady as Buyers Defend Key Levels

Binance Coin (BNB) continues to show resilience despite global volatility. The asset recovered from an intraday low of $1,079 to retest the $1,151 zone before stabilizing near $1,128, marking a steady gain of 2.4%. The Fear and Greed Index remains at 32, indicating cautious optimism as traders wait for confirmation of a broader reversal.

BNB’s short-term metrics show bullish tendencies. The MACD sits in positive territory, and the RSI is near 54 points indicating balanced accumulation. If BNB sustains a breakout above $1,135, targets at $1,142 and $1,150 could follow. A breakdown below $1,114, however, might invite temporary consolidation.

Market analysts suggest that BNB’s ability to attract liquidity during uncertain periods makes it a reliable base asset for 2025. Its strong ecosystem, consistent usage, and expanding utility within Binance’s infrastructure all contribute to its improving trading outlook.

Ethereum Holds $3,900 Support as Bulls Target $4,200

Ethereum (ETH) remains steady near $3,946, holding critical support around $3,850, a trendline that has supported multiple rebounds since mid-2024. Despite resistance near $4,032 and $4,134, ETH’s structural uptrend remains intact, supported by strong liquidity and balanced futures positioning.

Exchange flow data suggests selling pressure is easing, with moderate inflows signaling potential accumulation by long-term holders. A confirmed breakout above $4,134 could set the stage for a rally toward $4,200, while failure to hold above $3,850 might lead to a retest of the 200-day EMA near $3,576.

Ethereum’s institutional dominance remains a key theme. With ETF inflows climbing and network activity stabilizing, ETH continues to attract capital seeking exposure to a proven smart contract ecosystem. If macro conditions align, ETH could enter a new cycle led by strong fundamental growth and liquidity depth.

Dr. Maurice Herlihy’s MIT Legacy Elevates BlockDAG’s Credibility

Where other projects chase attention, BlockDAG (BDAG) is driven by structure and scholarship. At its core is Dr. Maurice Herlihy, one of the world’s most decorated computer scientists and a Harvard-MIT scholar whose work underpins much of today’s blockchain consensus theory.

His accolades, including the Gödel Prize, Dijkstra Prize, Fulbright Fellowship, Lafferty Award, and IEEE Piore Award, reflect decades of leadership in distributed systems and synchronization theory. These principles directly influence BlockDAG’s hybrid Proof-of-Work (PoW) + Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) architecture, enabling superior scalability and fault tolerance.

BlockDAG’s performance metrics mirror its credibility. With nearly $435 million raised, 4.5 billion coins still available, and 3.5 million X1 app miners already active before launch, the project is establishing a working ecosystem even before its mainnet release.

Its Batch 32 presale at $0.005 represents one of the final opportunities to participate before listings on major exchanges, rumored to include Coinbase and Kraken. For traders and builders, BlockDAG stands out not just for its scale, but for its academic foundation.

It’s a project where the architecture has been validated by one of the very people who shaped the science behind decentralized systems, giving it a level of credibility few competitors can claim.

Closing Thoughts: Intellect Meets Execution

Ethereum and Binance Coin continue to define structural reliability in the market. ETH’s stable uptrend and BNB’s growing trading activity affirm their place among blue-chip assets heading into 2025.

However, BlockDAG’s fusion of institutional-scale fundraising and academic design creates a distinct category of its own. Guided by an MIT professor whose theories form the backbone of blockchain logic, BDAG isn’t chasing trends; it’s engineering permanence.

With 3.5 million miners, a $0.005 presale, and nearly $435 million raised, BlockDAG has already built what many projects only promise: participation before listing, and proof before speculation.

In the race for bullish crypto coins of 2025, BDAG represents more than momentum; it’s the intersection of intellect, infrastructure, and impact.
