**Mother of Missing 10-Year-Old Gabrielle Patricia Terrelonge Arrested on Child Neglect Charge**

MARGATE, FLA. (WSVN) — The mother of missing 10-year-old Gabrielle Patricia Terrelonge was arrested Tuesday in Margate on a child neglect charge, as authorities continue their search for the girl who has been missing for more than four months.

According to court records, 34-year-old Passha Davis appeared before a judge Wednesday morning. Her bond was set at $100,000, and she was ordered to wear an ankle monitor and undergo a mental health evaluation.

The FBI Miami Field Office, Margate Police Department, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement confirmed that Gabrielle remains missing and is considered at risk.

Investigators said Gabrielle was last seen on June 21 in Broward County but was not reported missing until October 29, after authorities discovered her mother had been incarcerated in Florida. Her disappearance was upgraded to a Missing Child Alert earlier this week.

Gabrielle is described as a Black female, approximately 4 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 100 pounds, with shoulder-length black hair. She was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, black long pants, and white Crocs.

Authorities added that Gabrielle is known to travel between Central and South Florida with family members and may have been with Davis before her arrest.

A relative, who wished to remain anonymous, shared that she has been fighting to take Gabrielle into her home because the girl and her mother had been living on the streets.

“We don’t have any clue where she is. I mean, it would have been better if they even didn’t want to give her to me — they could have taken her and put her in foster care. There were more than enough family members willing to take her, but nobody was willing to help do the right thing,” the relative said.

“Her family loves her, and we are looking for her. We would like her to return safely and come to be with us, away from harm.”

Really good playwrights know how to take the arcana of a specialized world and make it feel universal and immediate. Based on *The Pilon*, now in a terrific world premiere with Red Theater, Zach Barr is such a playwright.

Set in a collectibles shop in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, Barr’s play follows a group of enthusiasts who bond over their love for cards, especially basketball cards. Corbin (Rio Soliz Ragazzone) runs a Twitch livestream from the shop, founded by his aunt Rhonda (Delia Kropp). He’s assisted by choleric Marc (Josh Razavi), whose interest seems more mercantile than personal—in contrast to Lex (Jo Tannous), who just collects what he likes, including vintage Shirley Temple cards. As Rhonda notes at one point, “Not everyone is trying to make a retirement portfolio out of cardboard.”

Young Griffey (Harper Levander), a transmasc kid just getting into collecting, rounds out the group. When a very rare basketball card (the source of the play’s title) comes into the store, the relationships become more complicated than just the love of the game and its ephemera.

Barr’s play, directed with an adept hand by Jessica Love, gives us time to adjust to the language of this world—I had no idea what a “slabbed” card meant prior to this show—while making it clear that the store is a stand-in for a lot of places where, as one character notes, “It’s rules that keep people out of the hobby.”

Manuel Ortiz’s set and Chas Mathieu’s props in the small Edge Off Broadway space add cozy verisimilitude.

Barr’s play is wise and warm, with many lovely exchanges providing important insights. It’s clear, for example, that Rhonda, who is also trans, is a source of support for Griffey, but she’s also smart enough to see that Lex and Corbin have a bond—even if the latter hasn’t picked up on the former’s attraction yet.

The generational connections that collecting provides—Rhonda treasures a baseball card from her father, and collecting cards is also something that Griffey’s dad does, though the boy isn’t ready to share that part of his life with him yet—also feel resonant and honest.

Barr never strains to make their points. Instead, they create a place where the slightly off-kilter collectors can find home and identity, even if it doesn’t bring the immediate riches of a rare find. In that way, *The Pilon* mirrors the sensation of opening up a fresh pack of trading cards. The treasures you find in life may not be the ones you thought you were looking for.

Fortnite maker Epic Games and Google say they’re settling 5-year legal fight over Android app store

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Video game maker Epic Games has reached a “comprehensive settlement” with Google that could bring an end to its five-year legal battle targeting Google’s Play Store for Android apps.

Epic and Google announced the settlement agreement in a joint legal document filed Tuesday in a San Francisco federal court. The two companies stated that the agreement “would allow the parties to put their disputes aside while making Android a more vibrant and competitive platform for users and developers.”

Epic, the creator of the popular online game Fortnite, secured a significant victory this summer when a federal appeals court upheld a jury verdict condemning Google’s Android app store as an illegal monopoly. The radical left’s takeover of America’s largest city is complete, bringing with it open attacks on President Donald Trump, capitalism, and even the very foundations of Western civilization.

Zohran Mamdani, a self-described “democratic socialist” and the first Muslim mayor-elect of New York City, delivered a fiery, Marxist-tinged victory speech. His remarks sounded less like those of an American mayor and more like a disciple of Bernie Sanders, Ilhan Omar, and Eugene Debs rolled into one.

Mamdani not only quoted socialist Eugene Debs but also invoked Jawaharlal Nehru, the Marxist “founding father” of socialist India, controversially claiming that Nehru “crushed Hindus and empowered Jihadis.”

Mamdani declared his intention to “freeze rents,” make “buses fast and free,” and bring “universal childcare” to New York—an agenda straight out of a socialist manifesto.

Mamdani’s speech was less a victory address and more a manifesto. He proudly declared himself a Muslim and a “democratic socialist” who refuses to apologize for it.

In his words, New York will “respond to oligarchy and authoritarianism with strength,” but in reality, his plan replaces individual liberty with state control.

Democrats hit the trifecta.

It’s worse than that. Atop winning the governorships of New Jersey and Virginia and Gracie Mansion in New York City, Proposition 50—which allows for a redrawing of congressional districts on a partisan basis—won overwhelmingly in California. Meanwhile, Jay Jones, who infamously fantasized about murdering Republicans and their children, captured the office of attorney general in Virginia.

Republicans currently rule over all three branches of the federal government, and the party in power almost always takes it on the chin in off-year elections. Still, there’s little in the way of a silver lining on this cloud or a moral victory for Republicans to point to.

### Mamdani: The New AOC?

Add up the Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa vote totals—it still does not beat Zohran Mamdani. Donald Trump’s intervention in this race on behalf of a liberal Democrat, which effectively undermined a solid Republican candidate, now looks even more foolish given the predictable outcome.

Mamdani doesn’t offer any ideas that aren’t foolish, yet he speaks well, looks good, and emits a likeable vibe to people who do not know much about politics. (You might be surprised to learn that most people actually don’t know much about politics.) Mamdani has become a posterboy for Democrats and a boogeyman for Republicans.

### New York Has Elected Communists Before

Zohran Mamdani isn’t the first communist to win elective office in New York City. Benjamin Davis Jr. served a term on the New York City Council in the early 1940s. At the beginning of the next decade, he served time in federal prison as one of 11 Communist leaders convicted for violating the Smith Act.

Vito Marcantonio made a career representing Communists after he impersonated one in Congress. Samuel Dickstein was elected 11 times to the U.S. House of Representatives. His Soviet handlers, who thought very little of him due to his frequent demands for money, codenamed him “Crook.” (There’s even a block named after him in Manhattan, although the Teddy Roosevelt statue is gone from the Upper West Side.)

New York City survived all of those “red fools,” and it will survive this one, too.
