Also great value.” However, some users were slightly less impressed, with one noting: “Good shaver for travel. Still prefer the normal razor for day to day shaves.” Another commented: “For the price it’s great value. I only use it for tidying round the neck and ears. It’s not as good as a blade razor for shaving.”.

Ukraine’s Europe Allies Still Hold an Ace Card in US Showdown

Has the fate of Europe been decided in Miami? That was the fear this week, when European Commissioner Andrius Kubilius bemoaned “unacceptable” proposals hatched by US and Russia to end the war in Ukraine and the fact that Europe seemed unable to lead with its own. “I’m tired of always discussing American plans,” he told an event in Strasbourg hosted by French magazine L’Express. “It would be better if we elaborated ours.”

Fed Whisperer Timiraos Signals September Core PCE at ~0.22%, Inflation Likely to Ease From 2.9%

COINOTAG News reported on November 26 that Nick Timiraos, often described as the Fed Whisperer by market participants, posted on social media about upcoming inflation data. He suggests that September’s CPI and PPI releases could lift the core PCE by roughly 0. 22%, a level that would sit near the core CPI reading for the month. The note underscores how the September prints may shape near-term market expectations and the Federal Reserve’s policy signaling. Should the core PCE come in softer than this threshold, the year-over-year inflation pace may slip from 2. 9% toward 2. 8%, contingent on other price series aligning. Analysts say such an outcome would support a cautious inflation trajectory while preserving the credibility of the Fed‘s policy path, keeping traders focused on forthcoming data releases and policy guidance.

Budget beauty buys seeing our editors through to pay day

With December creeping ever closer, our bank accounts are feeling emptier by the day and payday still feels a long way off. If you’ve reached the bottom of your moisturiser or run out of your favourite lip balm, fear not there’s a wealth of budget-friendly beauty options to see you through. These are the ones HELLO!’s Beauty Collective buys on repeat. The simple makeup remover “Let’s be honest, keeping up a beauty routine ain’t cheap. Skincare and treatments; it all adds up. The good news is there are some brands that give great value for less. The very reasonably priced DoSe range is a favourite of mine. I pretty much love all of their products but swear by their ‘Granactive Retinoid 5% Serum’, £22 / $34, as well as their ‘Multi-Peptide Anti-Ageing Serum’, which is the same price. “However, there’s one product that’s cheap as chips that I’ve used for decades and see no reason whatsoever to change it. It’s the ‘Kind to Eyes Makeup Remover’ by Simple and costs £6. 53 / $4. 20. When I first discovered it, I was looking for a non-oily makeup remover as my eyes are sensitive to oils. The Simple version is a clear liquid and doesn’t irritate eyes and removes makeup brilliantly. And let’s be honest, it’s a product that many of us use a lot. “I’ve come across other, more expensive brands over the years that were also non-oily but see no reason to switch as the Simple works so well. They used to do a travel size that you could get in the airport, but for some inexplicable reason, no longer offer it. Why? It was brilliant for travel. But as long as they never discontinue the large size, I’ll be happy.” Glynis Barber, HELLO! Wellness Columnist The budget balm “I am all for affordable beauty buys that seamlessly integrate into your routine. A while back, while heading to the checkouts at Boots, I stumbled across the Boots own-brand ‘Glossy Lip Balm’ £3. I’d heard lots of glowing reviews about the lip balm, including comparisons to higher-end lip products. All of the shades were on offer for £2. 50, so I thought I’d put the vanilla flavour to the test. “Since my first application of this lip balm, I haven’t looked back. It provides real, long-lasting moisture and hydration that lasts around the clock. It’s become my go-to for applying throughout the day, especially before bed, as by the time morning comes, my lips still look and feel hydrated. “I’m so in love with the balm that I’ve even gone back for other flavours. What started as a purchase on a whim has turned into one of my favourite lip buys to date, and at such an affordable price.” Vanese Maddix, freelance beauty journalist The reliable range “For anyone on a budget who is looking for great skincare, I always steer them towards the CeraVe aisle. All of their products deliver, and as they are formulated by dermatologists, they are trusted with any skin type. The Cerave Daily Moisturising Lotion, £11. 38 / $14. 97, is a staple in my household. I use it on my face and body, and my kids and husband use it too. You’ll find a bottle in pretty much every room in my house!” The purifying spritz “The most affordable product in my skincare arsenal that I actually part money with (and as a self-confessed skincare snob that’s saying something) is Clinisoothe’s ‘+Skin Purifier’, £26. 23 / $19. 68. I first discovered it thanks to the brilliant clinical aesthetician Pamela Marshall of Mortar and Milk long before ‘hypochlorous’ became the viral skincare buzzword it is today. Now that my hormones have entered their rebellious perimenopausal era, this gentle mist has been a saviour; soothing, calming and restoring balance while keeping rosacea-related redness on my nose in check. It’s one of the few products I repurchase on repeat (thank you Amazon).” Cassie Steer, HELLO! Contributing Head of Beauty The bath booster “I love a decadent bath, it’s my therapy, my happy place and helps me feel grounded. When payday is looming and the purse strings start to feel tight, I can always rely on the fact that Westlabs’ ‘Epsom Healing Salt’ £3. 78 / $3. 61, will power my baths and help my post-workout muscles to feel relaxed and soothed. It’s also great if you’re feeling a bit puffy and bloated, as the salts have been used for hundreds of years to help soothe and nurture the body.” Ateh Jewel, freelance beauty editor The makeup bag staple “Being lucky enough to test and trial some of the most luxurious beauty brands as part of my job, I pride myself on being able to identify which ones are actually worth the extra pennies versus which ones lack substance behind the smoke and mirrors of branding and packaging. Whenever I test a new product, I ask myself whether I’d continue using it if I no longer worked in the industry, and whether I could see myself committing to a repeat purchase. One that has stood the test of time and been in my makeup bag long before I worked in beauty is the iconic Beauty Blender, £12. 92 / $17. Yes, the bright pink egg-shaped sponge that gives a skin-like finish to make-up that no other brand has, in my opinion, yet replicated. “This budget-friendly staple serves as the finishing touch that takes makeup blending to another level of smooth, and whilst I have a core arsenal of incredible makeup brushes, I’ll always reach for this as the finishing touch, or all-in-one tool in a pinch. Don’t fall for any of the dupes this one is a cult classic for a reason.” Sidra Imtiaz, freelance beauty writer The curl definer.

Travel safety tips as millions hit the road for Thanksgiving

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — As people gas up their cars and get ready to travel this Thanksgiving, some drivers are concerned with safety on the road. “I’ve seen a lot of drunk drivers. I’ve seen accidents happen in front of me. It definitely makes me nervous, especially when you have children,” said Fresno resident Daniel Thompson. On Wednesday evening, the California Highway Patrol said it will begin its maximum enforcement period for the holiday. “We want to be visible to slow those drivers down. And to also be vigilant for those unsafe drivers out there that are causing most of the problems out there,” said CHP spokesman Mike Salas. AAA is predicting a record number of people traveling by car this year. Driving experts say that after properly inspecting your vehicle, there are things you can do to stay safe while on the road. “If you’re at a stop sign and the fog is really thick and dense, you’ll want to roll your windows down and you want to hear for the traffic, right. That’s going to be one of your biggest clues, if you can’t see, you wanna be able to hear,” said Learn 2 Drive Center’s Jonathan Vargas. When it comes to poor weather conditions, Vargas said using road reflectors and proper headlights can make all the difference in safety. He also encourages people not to let anything distract them while driving. “If you are driving in the fast lane, you want to be careful in case you have a drunk driver coming on the opposite side of the freeway, coming in the wrong entrance. And they’re gonna think that the fast lane is the slow lane. So, you wanna make sure you’re being aware of that,” said Vargas. He said it is the season of giving. So, try and give that extra space to other drivers on the road. You don’t want to get into a road rage incident and not be able to enjoy the holiday.

European stocks to open higher as Fed rate cut expectations rise; UK budget ahead

LONDON European stocks are expected to open higher across the spectrum as expectations rise that the U. S. Federal Reserve will cut interest rates in December. The U. K.’s FTSE index is seen opening 0. 25% higher, Germany’s DAX up 0. 7%, France’s CAC 40 up 0. 67% and Italy’s FTSE MIB 0. 64% higher, according to data from IG. Regional bourses look set to follow their counterparts on Wall Street and in the Asia-Pacific region higher amid expectations that the Fed will cut when it next meets on Dec. 9 and 10. Markets are pricing in almost an 85% chance of a quarter percentage point cut by the central bank, according to the CME FedWatch tool. New York Fed President John Williams also said on Friday that there was room to lower rates “in the near term.” Global markets also got a boost after U. S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told CNBC on Tuesday that there was a “very good chance” that Trump could name a new Fed chair before Christmas. While he said he was interviewing candidates, expectations are shifting toward White House National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett, after Bloomberg reported he had emerged as a frontrunner for the job. Hassett is viewed as someone more likely to push for lower rates. In the U. K., all eyes are on the Autumn Budget on Wednesday with Chancellor Rachel Reeves set to unveil her spending and taxation plans for the year ahead. There are widespread expectations that the finance minister will announce a raft of tax hikes as she tries to stick to self-imposed rules on spending and borrowing, and has a fiscal black hole to fill as a result. Follow CNBC’s Autumn Budget live blog throughout the day for all the latest news, comment and announcements. Chancellor Reeves will deliver her budget statement around 12. 30 p. m. London time. Best Crypto to Buy Now? Mutuum Finance (MUTM) Nears $19 Million Ahead of V1 Testnet Launch

The increasing hype within the DeFi space has placed Mutuum Finance (MUTM) firmly on investors’ radars as one of the top cryptos to buy right now, particularly as it hastens towards an important development phase. With its presale crossing the $19 million mark in no time and Phase 6 almost out, investor interest is pouring in far faster than analysts expected. Tapping at $0. 035, Mutuum Finance (MUTM) is making waves for its cutting-edge DeFi approach to crypto, tackling decentralized lending, borrowing, and interest tokens uniquely crafted to reward its earliest supporters. The hype over its imminent V1 testnet launch on Sepolia is only pouring more fuel on this fire, solidifying its position within the DeFi space as a leading DeFi crypto and the best crypto to buy now for early-stage investors. MUTM Presale Phase 6: Final Window for Strategic Investors Mutuum Finance is quickly emerging as one of the most heavily anticipated token sales that this year has to offer. Stage 6 of presale, priced at $0. 035 per token, is the last stage prior to its price increase to $0. 04 in Stage 7. To ensure simplicity in entry, MUTM has introduced support for Credit and Debit Card payments, making entry into this investment opportunity seamless for both new and veteran investors in cryptocurrencies. As its fundamentals continue to look good and its adoption increases, MUTM is poised to emerge as the top DeFi crypto and the best crypto to buy now for investors seeking exposure before the next phase. Sepolia Testnet: Full DeFi Features Testing One of the most important milestones in the near future is to launch the full lending and borrowing protocol for Mutuum Finance on Sepolia testnet, which is expected to happen in Q4 2025. It will initially support ETH, USDT, mtTokens, debt tokens, and automatic liquidation, but other assets will also be added later. This testnet launch also proves that Mutuum Finance is more than just a presale token, but it is also growing to be a full-fledged DeFi platform. It has usage, utility, and scalable tokenomics that classifies MUTM as one of the top cryptocurrencies and a DeFi crypto ready to deliver long-term results. Independent Security Audit: Trust and Reliability The lending and borrowing contracts offered by Mutuum Finance are also undergoing an independent audit by Halborn Security. The final codes are also under evaluation to ensure that every contract functions correctly and safely handles the user’s assets. It will ensure platform integrity and investor safety, and will provide platform updates once completed. After that, announcements for testnet launch schedules will also be made, which is one of the most important steps towards full-scale operability for the MUTM platform. Tokenomics in MUTM include a Buy-and-Distribute mechanism whereby transaction fees on the platform are utilized for buying back MUTM tokens to reward mtToken staking participants. This design directly links increases in value to usage instead of trading volumes. Furthermore, Mutuum Finance has implemented a leaderboard contest for every day, where they reward top contributors with $500 worth of MUTM tokens every day (starting at 00: 00 UTC). This not only increases their engagement but also develops their community, hence cementing MUTM as a new breed of DeFi crypto poised for growth. MUTM Emerges as DeFi Crypto to Buy Now Mutuum Finance (MUTM) is quickly proving to be the best crypto to buy now. It has already raised almost $19 million in its presale, with Phase 6 near sold-out at $0. 035 per token. The V1 testnet launch on Sepolia will then provide full DeFi functionality, including full support for lending, borrowing, interest-bearing tokens, and automated liquidation. Furthermore, independent security assurance from Halborn Security removes any doubts about its reliability and authenticity. Last but not least, its novel tokenomics and reward structure are additional factors driving adoption. Therefore, investors looking to gain early access to this new “high-utility” and high-upside DeFi crypto need to act fast to acquire MUTM tokens before prices go up to $0. 04 in Phase 7, making it the best crypto to buy now. Lakers’ JJ Redick hopes Deandre Ayton will rejoin lineup by end of week

LOS ANGELES Lakers starting center Deandre Ayton was not available for Tuesday night’s home game against the Clippers, but the team hopes to have him back by the end of the week. Coach JJ Redick said during his pregame media availability that Ayton, who sat out Tuesday because of a right knee contusion, was experiencing swelling and had a bruise but that imaging on the knee came back “clean.” Ayton suffered the injury when he got hit in the knee during the first half of Sunday’s road win against the Utah Jazz. He sat out the second half because of the injury. “Don’t think it’s going to be a long-term thing,” Redick said. “Hopefully it’s a game-to-game thing, and he’s back at some point by the end of the week.” Tuesday was Ayton’s second missed game of the season. He’s averaging 15. 5 points on 69. 6% shooting and 8. 4 rebounds in 29. 2 minutes per game. “He’s a good player, double-double,” Clippers coach Ty Lue said. “He’s really gotten better defensively. Used to be a guy that we tried to attack him [when he was] in Phoenix, but he’s gotten better at that. “They’re a good team. He’s a big part of what they’re doing, but Jaxson Hayes has been playing great as well. And then they’re coming with Maxi Kleber or [Jarred] Vanderbilt. So they’ll be OK.” With Ayton sidelined, Hayes started against the Clippers alongside Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves, LeBron James and Rui Hachimura. After being in the second-half rotation on Sunday and impressing during his minutes, Kleber was in the Lakers’ first-half rotation against the Clippers. “He’s very valuable for the things he’s able to do on the court because he understands who he is and all of those things that he’s really good at are complementary to our best players,” Redick said. “The other thing that he brings every single day is that he’s the best teammate for all the guys. His spirit, whether he’s in the rotation, out of the rotation, in street clothes because he has an oblique injury, whatever it is, he’s the same guy every day. There’s a stability to him that’s really becoming increasingly hard to find in the NBA for players. There’s value in that.” TWO-WAY ADDITION The Lakers officially signed Drew Timme from their South Bay G League affiliate to a two-way contract on Tuesday morning. Timme, a three-time consensus All-American selection at Gonzaga who is the Bulldogs’ all-time leading scorer, played for the Brooklyn Nets to finish last season after going undrafted in 2023. He averaged 12. 1 points, 7. 2 rebounds and 2. 2 assists in nine games (28. 2 minutes) with the Nets in 2024-25 before signing with South Bay. “It’s great,” Time said. “This is why I came here, to be able to hopefully get this opportunity and it definitely came sooner than I expected.” After joining the South Bay Lakers, Timme averaged 25. 5 points, 7. 5 rebounds, 4. 0 assists and 1. 2 steals in six games in the G League. “He is tremendously skilled offensively,” Redick said. “We haven’t really had a big here as a hub, as like a passing guy that you can kind of play out of the high post with. [Anthony Davis], to an extent, but a lot of the stuff we ran for him in those spots was to get him a shot and not to be a playmaker. The thing that’s kind of underrated with [Timme] is his defensive rebounding is really good, particularly for his size. He’s produced at every level and looking forward to coaching him.” Timme was one of the South Bay players who had the opportunity to practice with James earlier in the month during his return-to-play process from sciatica. “It was pretty crazy, man,” Timme recalled. “I mean, that’s the G. O. A. T. [greatest of all time]. To be able to share the court with him, especially being a G League team, that’s so outside of the normal of anything. It was crazy. But I think it just shows how connected the two programs are, and it’s super cool. He came down, and that’s our job, was to help him get back, to get back into game speed. So we were just glad to help. And it was really cool to be able to hoop with him.” Timme added that he was able to learn from James during the practices. “Especially with this new role that I’ve had with South Bay, especially like being more of a ball handler and playing more on the perimeter and stuff, just how he was able to get to his spots,” he said. “He just looked like he was never sped up, the game’s in slow motion for him, and to see him, how he attacked different things, I was just kind of watching as a fan and a student, and it was cool.”.
