“It will take two to three more days for the road to reopen for traffic. It is a cement concrete road, and curing work is currently underway,” said Jaideep More, Assistant Municipal Commissioner in charge of ‘A’ ward.

### Understanding the Road Curing Process

Road curing is a critical process carried out on freshly laid concrete to ensure the pavement gains strength and durability. “The road repair work started only after the water pipeline was fixed. Since it is a cement concrete road, the process takes time. If it were an asphalt road, the resurfacing would have been much quicker,” added More.
