“That Michael Wilson pick up was a steal”: Fantasy football managers react to Marvin Harrison Jr.’s injury update for Week 12
Marvin Harrison Jr. has been ruled out of the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. The Arizona Cardinals wide receiver joins Emari Demercado as the absentee for the game as he continues to recover from the appendicitis surgery he had earlier this month. Ad It marked the second straight game Harrison will be missing following his surgical procedure. His absence has, however, handed Michael Wilson the opportunity to shine. The wide receiver recorded 15 receptions for 185 yards in the 41-22 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, drawing the praise of the team’s coach, Jonathan Gannon. Thanks for the submission! “I thought he played extremely well. There’s no doubt. I thought how we deployed him kind of lined him in some different spots,” Gannon said. “He was obviously targeted a lot, but he got open and he caught it,” Gannon said of Wilson’s massive day. Again, Jacoby had some time to sit back there and throw it, which was nice to see. I know Mike Wilson’s a good player. Obviously, with Marv (Harrison Jr.) being out, a lot of the targets went to him. The absence of Marvin Harrison Jr. from the Week 12 game against the 49ers has generated a lot of reactions from Fantasy Football managers as he continues to recover.. Here’s a look at some of the reactions online: Dylan @JdcDylan @RapSheet That Michael Wilson pick up was a steal Ad Cole Sullivan @Colesu11y @RapSheet Anyone who’s had their appendix removed knows it takes much longer than a week to recover. The Pro Football Hall of Famer walked away from the league in 2008 after 13 years with the Indianapolis Colts. “It’s very hard for me to watch the Cardinals’ offense,” Harrison Sr. told ESPN. “And you can quote me on that. The style of offense that I am accustomed to, that I’m used to watching as a professional eye, as a wide receiver . Ad “I just can’t relate to watching that [current] offense, that style of offense. “Basically, I can’t relate to what goes on there. I think that’s just peacefully put, without pointing fingers or anything. It’s just me. I’m giving you the professional eye. I can’t relate to it. It don’t add up to me. I can’t deal with it.” Nonetheless, the elder Harrison is glued to the screen when his son is playing. With Marvin Harrison Jr. just in the second season of his career, his father has had to come to terms with the tricky dual role of being both a retired legend and the father of an active player. × Feedback Why did you not like this content? No More Hangover Blues: 16 Home Remedies That Work
Head pounding and the world spinning these are two things you will notice immediately after you wake up from a night of heavy drinking and partying. Is the pain worth the fun? It would be great if you could just get rid of your hangover quickly. Here are some remedies you can try out. 1. Nap and Water Your body needs to recover from ingesting too much alcohol. The best solution for this is water and a nap. It may seem too simple, but your body will appreciate it. Take a big gulp of water. Then, go back to sleep. 2. Pedialyte and Fast Food Alcohol suppresses vasopressin, a hormone that influences the body’s reabsorption of water. It’s the reason why you feel dehydrated and feel that throbbing in your head. Drinking Pedialyte is the quick solution to this. Top it off with a delicious fast food meal to fill you up to bring energy back to your body. 3. Greasy Food Some can’t eat when hungover, and others find it filling and relaxing. Greasy food like pizzas and burgers are often the top picks for many. While some find it effective, you need to be careful when eating greasy food the morning after heavy drinking. It may upset your stomach and worsen your hangover. 4. Water and Saltines Have you ever tried saltines before? Saltines are square crackers made from flour, yeast, baking soda, and salt. Some suggest that the wheat on the crackers can help absorb the alcohol in your body. It works for some, but others believe that eating saltines will only work before drinking and not the day after. 5. Cheese on Toast A good cheese on toast can work wonders for your hangover. Eating something after drinking too much can at least help you avoid hyperacidity and tummy issues. It’s an easy-to-make meal with the ingredients readily available in your kitchen. 6. Coca-Cola One of the major causes of headaches when you’re hungover is low blood sugar. The sugar rush from a quick gulp of Coke takes care of that. 7. A Bowl of Pho A big and steaming bowl of pho can help manage your hangover. The warm broth easily settles on the stomach. Even if you don’t have an appetite, it goes down well and won’t be difficult to eat, especially when feeling dizzy. 8. A Shot of Espresso If you’re expecting a long day after a night out, a shot of espresso can wake you up in no time. It can boost your alertness, which you will need for a workday. Be careful not to have too much caffeine, though, as it can further dehydrate your body and worsen your hangover. 9. Gatorade Gatorade is an energy drink and is a popular go-to hangover option for a reason. Besides replenishing liquid in your system, the sugar in it can boost your body. 10. A Big Breakfast A big breakfast is perfect if you’re hungry after waking up with a hangover. It solves that squeamish feeling in your stomach. While it may not completely cure your hangover, it is the first step to your body’s recovery. 11. Ibuprofen and Sleep Ibuprofen, like Advil, can help with the pain in your head or stomach that comes with a normal hangover. Sleep after you drink the pain reliever. Make sure not to use the ones with acetaminophen, considering it is incompatible with alcohol and can damage your liver. 12. Cold Shower Get the hangover slump off your body by taking a shower. A cold shower calms your body down. After that, wear your coziest pajamas and have a long nap in your darkened room. 13. Cold Compress If you still feel nauseous, get a cold compress or a wet washcloth and press it over your eyes and mouth. The cold feeling gives you a refreshing feel. Even if it doesn’t get rid of all your hangover symptoms, it can make you feel better. 14. Banana Eat a banana after heavy drinking to replenish the potassium in your body. You can deal with digestive issues from drinking alcohol through the fiber in the fruit. It also contains sugar, which boosts your body to start the day with enough energy. 15. Coconut Water If you have access to coconut water, drink it after a night of alcohol binge. It is one of the most refreshing liquids to cure your hangover. With a high number of electrolytes, it can rehydrate your body faster compared to other liquids. 16. McDonald’s Fries McDonald’s French fries are top-tier, and eating them when you’re hungover can help you deal with the nausea. One bit of advice, get a napkin and take out as much oil and salt from the fries as you can. While the starch can help, the oil and salt can worsen your condition. 10 Things People Learned Way Too Late In Life I recently scrolled the internet’s front page when I saw this question, “What’s something you learned “embarrassingly late” in life?” Here are the top-voted responses.

Cause of small fire near Boulder’s Realization Point on Tuesday evening under investigation
BOULDER, Colo. Firefighters extinguished a small fire near Realization Point in Boulder on Tuesday evening, and they have determined it was not sparked by natural causes or electrical infrastructure. Around 8: 40 p. m. Tuesday, residents began calling 911 to report flames on the Flatirons. Boulder Fire-Rescue and its partner agencies began to search the area for the flames, which took about one hour. When they found it near Realization Point, they discovered it had burned roughly one acre. The fire was not threatening any structures. “Wildland firefighters, practiced in navigating steep, rugged terrain, immediately began extinguishment efforts and constructing a fire line to secure the area,” Boulder Fire-Rescue said. “Working in the dark on rocky slopes, crews carried more than 50 pounds of gear while hiking terrain that is considered moderately challenging even during the day. Their skill and endurance allowed them to overcome difficult conditions and contain the fire.” The fire was fully contained at 1 a. m. Within the following two hours, most crews had been released from the area, but a small number of them stayed there to patrol for hotspots and continue mop-up work. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. However, authorities have ruled out natural causes and electrical infrastructure. Artist Point off of Realization Point and the Boy Scout Trail are closed Wednesday. In addition to Boulder Fire-Rescue, several other agencies responded to this small fire, including Sugarloaf Fire, Boulder Emergency Squad and drone team, Fourmile Fire, Sunshine Canyon Fire, Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, and Open Space and Mountain Parks rangers.

By CHRISTOPHER RUGABER and JOSH BOAK WASHINGTON (AP) For the second time in two days, President Donald Trump said Wednesday that he would like to appoint Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to chair the Federal Reserve. Yet Bessent keeps saying he doesn’t want the job, Trump added, in comments to the U. S.-Saudi Investment Forum. “We’re thinking about him for the Fed, but he wants no part of it, he likes being secretary of the Treasury,” Trump said. “I think we’ll leave him so let’s cross your name off right, officially, right?” Trump has been sharply critical of the current Fed chair, Jerome Powell, whose term ends in May, for not cutting interest rates quickly enough. Trump’s pick as a replacement will almost certainly push for rapid interest rate cuts and likely institute wide-ranging changes in how the Fed operates. Bessent earlier this year published extensive criticisms of the Fed’s groundbreaking efforts to shore up financial markets and the economy after the 2008-2009 Great Recession and during the pandemic. Bessent is heading up the Trump administration’s search for a new Fed chair. Yet despite his protestations, he is also widely seen as a leading potential replacement for Powell. “He’s a top-tier candidate right now,” Stephen Moore, a senior economic adviser to Trump in his first term, said. Trump “wants to shake things up, so I think he wants an outsider.” Two of the five candidates Bessent has named are current Fed officials: Governors Christopher Waller and Michelle Bowman. The other three would fit the outsider criteria: Kevin Hassett, currently a top White House economic official; Kevin Warsh, a former Fed governor who has been highly critical of the Fed; and Rick Rieder, a senior managing director at asset manager BlackRock. Late Tuesday, in an interview By mid-December, “the president will meet the final three candidates and hopefully have an answer before Christmas,” Bessent said. Associated Press Writer Fatima Hussein contributed to this report.

Trump’s New Peace Deal for Russia-Ukraine War: Everything We Know
Adding to his roster of international peace negotiations, President Donald Trump has reportedly proposed putting together a plan to end the over three-and-a-half-year war between Russia and Ukraine, according to several reports citing anonymous sources close to the matter. Why It Matters The plan reportedly would grant Russia expanded control over two eastern Ukrainian territories in exchange for security guarantees for Ukraine and Europe. Territorial sovereignty has been at the crux of the war since Russian President Vladimir Putin led a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, which was launched years after Moscow annexed Crimea in 2014. The prospect of Russian land guarantees is viewed as a major concession and a concern for Ukraine and its supporters. The reported plan comes nearly a month after the Trump administration announced sweeping new sanctions targeting Russia’s oil industry and after the president said he was not, for now, considering a deal that would allow Ukraine to obtain long-range Tomahawk missiles from the United States for use against Russia. On the campaign trail in 2024, Trump repeatedly said he would end the Russia-Ukraine war on his first day in office. It comes after the president made headway on a peace plan between Hamas and Israel in Gaza. What To Know The plan, outlined in 28 points, would reportedly grant Russia parts of eastern Ukraine, in exchange for a security guarantee, Axios reported, citing a U. S. official familiar with the situation. Specifically, it outlines Russia as gaining de facto control of Luhansk and Donetsk, which are referred to as the Donbas, but Ukraine would not be asked to publicly acknowledge it. The U. S. and international community would recognize Crimea and the Donbas as Russian territory. Currently, the U. S. State Department considers Crimea Ukrainian, writing on its website, “The U. S. government recognizes Crimea is part of Ukraine; it does not and will not recognize the purported annexation of Crimea. Occupation authorities continue to impose the laws of the Russian Federation in the territory of Crimea.” The Axios report noted that in two other frontline regions, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia, the “current lines of control would mostly be frozen in place, with Russia returning some land.” A Ukrainian official reportedly noted that the plan limits the size of the Ukrainian military and its long-range weapons in return for U. S. security guarantees. The report did not detail what the U. S. security guarantee entails. Two other countries are reportedly involved in the talks-Qatar and Turkey, Axios reported. Both parties played a key role in establishing Trump’s 20-point Israel-Hamas peace plan. On Wednesday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in Ankara. “We count on the strength of Turkish diplomacy, on [how] it’s understood in Moscow,” Zelensky said following their meeting, according to the Associated Press. A U. S. Army official confirmed to the Associated Press that Army Secretary Dan Driscoll was in Ukraine on Wednesday for negotiations. Axios reported earlier that Zelensky’s national security adviser, Rustem Umerov, met with Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff last weekend. Financial Times reported that one of the lead architects of the deal is Kirill Dmitriev, the head of Russia’s sovereign wealth fund and a close ally of Putin. What People Are Saying Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Wednesday: “Moscow is open to continuation; Moscow is open to negotiations. The pause that has arisen is, in fact, due to the Kyiv regime’s reluctance to continue this dialogue.” Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Wednesday, per Russia state media outlet Tass: “We count on the continuation of the Istanbul negotiations based on a pragmatic and result-oriented approach. We see them as an important basis for a peaceful resolution [of the conflict].” Representative Don Bacon, a Nebraska Republican, said in an X post on Wednesday: “I totally disagree with the Administration negotiating w/ the Russians & not the Ukrainians, and their plan to demand the Ukrainians accept the agreement as a “fait accompli.” Not involving the Europeans is foolish. The U. S. did this too with South Vietnam & the Afghan Government. This sounds like 1938 Munich.” Maria Avdeeva, a non-resident senior fellow in the Eurasia Program at the Foreign Policy Research Institute, said in an X post on Wednesday: “Seriously? Witkoff and Dmitriev in Miami drafting Russia’s demands for Ukraine calling it a ‘peace plan’? It’s beyond pathetic.” Michael McFaul, Stanford University professor and former U. S. Ambassador to Russia, said in an X post Frankly, I’m shocked.” What Happens Next It is unclear when the plan will be publicly revealed and if and when the parties will agree to the proposal.

Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined is simplifying one of the series’ more rugged entries
Square Enix’s latest Dragon Quest remake is targeting one of the most complex entries in the saga. Dragon Quest 7: Fragments of the Forgotten Past is beloved by hardcore fans of the JRPG saga, but its extensive class system and fragmented story have made it harder for newcomers to jump into than other DQ games. That’s exactly what Square Enix is looking to remedy with Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, a modernization of the 2000 JRPG. I played roughly an hour of the upcoming game on PS5 at a private preview event. Dragon Quest 7 is in rare company as a video game that has now been remade twice. It creates a unique situation when it comes to development, which I asked Takeshi Ichitake, the producer of Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined. “Dragon Quest 7 has this unique aesthetic and feel that the other titles don’t,” he said, translated from Japanese to English by an on-site translator. “And Dragon Quest 7 has this unique aesthetic and feel that the other titles don’t really have.” He went on to say that the team felt that now was the right time to retell that story for modern audiences. Built from the ground-up, Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined preserves the story, characters, and mechanics of the original PS1 game, but with some changes that Square Enix thought was necessary to streamline the experience. Dragon Quest 7’s vocation system allows players to assign different vocations to their party members, which can be progressed for unique ability unlocks. This is a huge sticking point among fans with the original game, as individually leveling up each desired class can feel incredibly tedious. In comes moonlighting, a new feature in Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined that lets players equip two vocations at once. It not only smooths over one of the game’s roughest edges, it also opens up strategy in an exciting way. Square Enix has also made some notable changes to Dragon Quest 7’s battle system. Players can now attack enemies in the overworld without having to jump into a full-fledged battle. Weaker enemies can be defeated in the overworld, a change that puts DQ7 more in line with modern RPGs and will save players a large chunk of time. That said, fans of Dragon Quest 7 and its challenging battles should fret not. I found the game to still be difficult and highly dependent upon team composition and strategy. During my demo, I got to fight Gracos in the Sunken Citadel, and he wiped my team a couple of times before I was able to defeat him. Interestingly, Dragon Quest 7 is also adding some brand new content to the game. This includes a handful of new missions designed to expand the lore and build out the characters. A new storyline sees the party encounter an older version of Keifer, one of your key companions. Hot off the HD-2D remakes of the original Dragon Quest trilogy, I was fascinated to learn about the unique art style being used for the DQ7 remake. All of the character models were based on handcrafted figurines that were made in real life, and then scanned into the game. Takeshi Ichitake explained to me that he and his team felt like this approach was a great fit for Dragon Quest 7’s unique art style, which features shorter character models than the other mainline games. Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined has me excited to fully dive into one of my personally least-played Dragon Quest games. The quality-of-life changes promise a simpler experience without sacrificing much of what made the original game special in its own right. This preview is based on an early build of Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, played at a press event. Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined costs $59. 99 and launches on February 5, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC.

Long Island school district ignored warnings about janitor’s ‘harmful sexual tendencies’ before he allegedly groped student in bathroom: suit
A Long Island school district allegedly failed to protect a former student from a perv employee who locked him in a school bathroom and sexually assaulted him, a newly revealed lawsuit claims. The Massapequa school district is accused of knowing about janitor Michael Sodano’s alleged predatory tendencies and doing nothing to stop him before he groped the then-18-year-old high school senior in February, according to the student’s suit in Nassau County Supreme Court. “[The district], despite knowing of the inappropriate sexual, offensive, harmful tendencies of [Sodano], failed to exercise sufficient care and control in the hiring, retention, and supervision,” of the now-former staffer, the complaint states. It also alleges the district “failed to monitor and supervise [Sodano] as to prevent him from committing the offensive, harmful and unwanted acts.” Sodano allegedly preyed on the student whose name The Post is withholding as he is an alleged victim of sexual assault for weeks leading up the incident, obtaining his phone number by pretending to want to buy headphones off the teen, the suit claims. Not long after the pair started texting about the sale, Sodano’s messages allegedly took a sickening turn asking the then-highschooler for hugs and wanting to have a threesome, the suit detailed. After texting for weeks, Sodano allegedly told the student to meet him in the boy’s bathroom near his gym class so he could purchase the headphones without it giving the “impression of a drug deal,” court documents said. But when the student walked into the bathroom to sell the headphones, Sodano allegedly used his janitor keys to lock the door behind him and block the exit with his body, according to the complaint. Sodano then allegedly “bear-hugged” the student and started kissing him all over his face while grabbing his buttocks, the filing reads. The disgraced janitor was arrested the next day and arraigned in March on charges of forcible touching and third-degree sexual abuse, according to court documents. He has since pleaded not guilty on both charges and is due back in court on Friday. The teen’s lawsuit against the district which seeks an unspecified amount in damages was filed in July, but first reported by News12 on Wednesday. “We are aware of the allegations and the individual in question is no longer an employee of the district,” District Superintendent Dr. William Brennan told The Post in a statement. “All necessary background checks were conducted and passed in accordance with NYS law. The district does not comment on confidential student matters or those pertaining to litigation,” he said. Sodano’s attorney, Michael Langer, did not respond to The Post’s request for comment, but told Newsday his client was “wrongfully accused.” The student’s attorney, Matthew B. Lefkowitz, also did not respond to The Post’s request for comment.
