Earlier this week, the Department of Homeland Security shared a video on social media that depicted multiple ICE arrests, set to the original Pokémon anime theme music. The post quickly went viral, drawing significant attention online.

In response, The Pokémon Company has released an official statement clarifying that they were not involved in the creation of the video. They emphasized that they did not grant permission for their intellectual property to be used in this manner.

The Pokémon Company shared their statement with several media outlets, including Kotaku, to address the unauthorized use of their IP in the ICE-related video, which has been characterized by some as propaganda.
