Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has just announced her resignation. Through a post on X, she has confirmed that she will be leaving office in January. For some, this is the official death of MAGA. While it’s highly likely that the eulogies already being posted online might be premature, this is actually a very significant moment in Donald Trump’s presidency. Rep. Greene’s fallout with Trump has been a long time coming, but when he called her a “traitor” last week, it seemed like they had finally gotten to a point of no return. During Greene’s 5-year career in Washington, she courted all manner of controversies. Constantly stoking fires with unverifiable conspiracies about “secret cabals” and even once being booted from the House for violent rhetoric against fellow Republicans. But through it all, Trump never had an issue with her. When he came back in office, she was one of the first people he embraced as a true loyalist. But Greene’s loyalty was always to conspiracies. And nothing presented a better opportunity for her than the ever-evolving Jeffrey Epstein saga. This time it seemed like her instincts were right and this was a conspiracy with legs. The only problem is this was the one thing Trump wanted her to let go. Trump was giving marching orders to the GOP on how to dismiss the “Epstein hoax” while Rep. Greene was actively pushing for the release of the files. When Trump realized that he actually lost this battle, he saw her as an insurgent and declared that he was willing to support a challenger who would stand against her in the primaries. Suddenly Greene had to campaign without the umbrella of MAGA. For some reason, however, she decided that this was not worth her peace of mind. Unprompted, she posted a video on X announcing her stepping down. Per CNN, the outgoing Congresswoman said, “I have too much self-respect and dignity, love my family way too much, and do not want my sweet district to have to endure a hurtful and hateful primary against me by the President we all fought for, only to fight and win my election while Republicans will likely lose the midterms.” A delighted Trump took to his social media platform Truth Social where he called her Marjorie “Traitor” Brown (a nickname he came up with because rotten grass is apparently brown). He continued claiming that they fell out because he refused to pick up her calls. Trump then went on to give a backhanded compliment thanking her for her service. Rep. Greene could have ran for reelection, but considering she’s already been facing death threats, she probably made a personal decision to protect her peace, and most people respect that. But her insistence to never question Trump’s authority directly is probably what went on to backfire in her face. Throughout her push to release the Epstein files, she always insisted that the Democrats were wrong to implicate Trump. Something we are still unsure of at this point. But if Zohran Mamdani’s last trip to the White House was any indicator, Trump would have probably respected her more if she stood up against him directly. That being said, it’s interesting that in her going-away message even she admitted that MAGA expects to lose the upcoming midterms.

MTG Slams Trump as Lawmakers Appear With Epstein Survivors Ahead of Vote
In a joint press conference with survivors of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, House lawmakers bashed President Donald Trump and Republican leadership ahead of the lower chamber’s vote to compel the release of the so-called “Epstein files.” Standing before survivors, longtime Trump sycophant and MAGA standardbearer Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) told reporters that the debacle over the Epstein files has been “one of the most destructive things to MAGA.” “I wasn’t ‘Johnny come lately’ to the MAGA train,” Greene said. “Watching the man that we supported early on [.] Watching this actually turn into a fight has ripped MAGA apart.” Greene has long supported transparency in the Epstein case, while Trump has pressured the nation to move on from the scandal. The president whose was once close friends with Epstein and whose name reportedly appears in the files recently revoked his endorsement of Greene, and repeatedly bash her as a “traitor” to his movement. The congresswoman addressed the president’s attacks on Tuesday. “I gave him my loyalty for free,” she said. “I’ve never owed him anything. But I fought for him for the policies and for America first. And he called me a traitor for standing with [survivors] and refusing to take my name off the discharge petition.” A bipartisan coalition of House members, led by Reps. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), bucked House leadership and Trump’s efforts to silence calls for the administration to follow through on its campaign promise for transparency regarding the cases against Epstein. The members spent months shoring up support for a discharge petition that would allow them to bring “The Epstein Files Transparency Act” to a floor vote without the approval of House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), who has been allied with the president on the issue. Johnson for seven weeks stalled the swearing-in ceremony of Rep. Adelita Grijalva (D-Ariz.), who ultimately cast the vote to bring the resolution to the floor When it became clear the petition would be coming to a vote, Trump flipped his position, encouraging House Republicans to vote yes. Editor’s picks Survivors were not buying it. Halye Robinson, who worked closely with members of Congress to secure a vote to release the files, spoke directly to Trump: “To the president of the United States of America who is not here today. I want to send a clear message to you: while I do understand that your position has changed on the Epstein files and I’m grateful that you have pledged to sign this bill I can’t help to be skeptical of what the agenda is.” “I am traumatized. I am not stupid, I am traumatized,” she added. “You have put us through so much stress: the lockdowns, the halting of these procedures that were supposed to have happened 50 days ago. Adelita Grijalva, who waited to get sworn in. And then [you] get upset when your own party goes against you because what is being done is wrong. It’s not right.” Survivors and lawmakers who spoke called on the Senate to also pass the resolution, and criticized lawmakers including Johnson who only decided to lend their support after it became clear the vote had enough momentum to pass. “I think the speaker wants to save face,” Massie said. “He’s going to vote for a piece of legislation today that he’s disparaged for four months.” In a subsequent press conference, Johnson said “if and when” the legislation makes it to the Senate Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-Mont.) would take the time to carefully amend the act in order to assuage “concerns” about its scope. Trending Stories Johnson expressed worry that releasing the files “could ruin the reputations of completely innocent people, such as those who may just have known Epstein but knew nothing of his crimes or whose names he exploited and used to try to get close to his intended victims.” The American justice system exists precisely as the mechanism to try those accused of crimes, and fear of reputational damage is no reason to continue denying Epstein’s survivors the justice they deserve.

Ontario congresswoman demanding answers after resident shot by ICE agents during operation
ONTARIO, Calif. (KABC) — The day after a U.S. citizen was shot by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent in Ontario, community members are demanding answers about what really happened. The incident occurred when the man allegedly tried to ram officers with his car.
“How these agents are acting is blatant, irresponsible, and total disregard for the humanity of American citizens,” said Congresswoman Norma Torres during an interview Friday with Eyewitness News.
“Every incident we have looked at, ICE’s knee-jerk response is to put themselves as victims when we know they are the aggressors. They are heavily armed, masked individuals, storming neighborhoods and taking people down simply because of the color of their skin, or how they look. This behavior must stop.”
The shooting took place around 6:30 a.m. Thursday morning in the 2800 block of South Vineyard Avenue in Ontario.
According to ICE, the man who was shot, identified as 24-year-old Carlos Jimenez, was not their original target. Officials said they attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the driver of a gray sedan when the driver of a Lexus SUV tried to intervene. ICE said Jimenez drove up, turned around, threw his car in reverse, and tried to ram officers. That’s when an ICE agent opened fire, shooting out of the passenger window.
Video from AIR7 showed a sedan boxed in by an unmarked SUV and a pickup truck on South Vineyard Avenue. The street was temporarily shut down as the investigation continued, reopening around 3 p.m.
Ontario police responded to a “request for emergency assistance” after Department of Homeland Security officers were involved in the shooting. The request was made at 6:33 a.m. in the 2800 block of South Vineyard Avenue, the Ontario Police Department said in a statement, adding that its officers were not involved in the initial incident.
The location is in a residential neighborhood, west of the Whispering Lakes Golf Course.
“Several Ontario police officers responded to the scene to provide traffic control and scene security while DHS conducted their investigation,” the police department said in a statement.
The shooting is being investigated by Homeland Security and the FBI.
Jimenez’s brother said Carlos was on his way to work at a nearby food bank when he was shot. The family lives in a nearby mobile home park, and his brother ran in screaming that he’d been shot in the shoulder.
Police tape surrounded one of the residences on the property of the mobile home park, and the Lexus SUV with a shattered window was parked nearby. Family members drove Jimenez to the hospital.
After being transferred to Riverside Community Hospital, Jimenez was released later that afternoon.
According to ICE, he was subsequently booked into the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga, facing charges of assaulting, resisting, or impeding federal officers.
In a statement, ICE said, “This is another example of the threats our ICE officers are facing day-in and day-out as they risk their lives to enforce the law and arrest criminals. ICE officers now face a 1,000% increase in assaults, including cars being used as weapons, and death threats against our agents are up 8,000%. This violence must end.
“Let me be clear: Anyone who assaults, impedes, obstructs, or threatens the lives of federal officers will be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
Immigrants’ rights groups expressed outrage over the shooting.
“You have federal agents coming in with masked faces, and not having to identify themselves, not having to provide a warrant,” said Javier Hernandez, executive director for the Inland Coalition for Immigrant Justice.
“The systems that are supposed to protect us are no longer there,” Hernandez added. “When the Supreme Court says you can racially profile people, now you have U.S. citizens who are being racially profiled—you have here possibly a U.S. citizen that was shot today.”
Carlos Jimenez is scheduled to be arraigned in federal court on Monday.
