Browns Announce Roster Moves Before Shedeur Sanders’ First NFL Start

After months of anticipation, the Cleveland Browns are finally starting quarterback Shedeur Sanders on Sunday, Nov. 23, against the Las Vegas Raiders on the road. Sanders has been patiently serving as a backup quarterback all season, but the Browns’ starting quarterback, Dillon Gabriel, suffered a concussion during the team’s game on Sunday, Nov. 16, against the Baltimore Ravens, and won’t be able to take the field in Week 12. So, this is Sanders’ chance to shine. He didn’t have a great performance during his NFL debut, and the Browns fell to the Ravens with a 23-16 final score. At the final buzzer, Sanders had 4-of-16 for 47 yards, was sacked twice and threw one interception. But that’s in the past, and now, Sanders is getting his first NFL start and the chance to make history. Ahead of the game, the Cleveland Browns have announced multiple roster moves to get the team ready for Geno Smith and the Raiders. On Wednesday, the team announced that they’re adding cornerback D’Angelo Ross from Houston’s practice squad and cornerback Sam Webb from Tennessee’s practice squad to their lineup. Ross, according to the team, is in his fourth season out of New Mexico. “Originally signed by New England as an undrafted free agent in 2019, he has appeared in 29 career games with the Patriots (2021) and Houston Texans (2023-25), including three games this season,” the Browns state on their official website. Ross will wear No. 20 on his jersey. Webb, meanwhile, is in his third season out of Missouri Western State. “Originally signed by Las Vegas as an undrafted free agent 2022, he has appeared in 29 career games with the Raiders (2022, 2024) and Carolina Panthers (2023),” the team states, adding that Webb will wear No. 27. While these players are on the defense end, if the defense can hold Smith and the Raiders, that will certainly help the former Colorado standout. Following Sanders’ NFL debut, he was honest about his performance. I think there’s a lot of things we need to look at during the week and go and just get comfortable with even throwing routes with Jerry [Jeudy] and throwing routes with all those guys. I think that was my first ball to him all year. But other than that, I just think overall, we just got to go next week and understand, so that we have a week to prepare stuff I like to do.” Read more: Shedeur Sanders Predicted to Get One-Upped for Browns’ Starting Job Now, Sanders has a chance to show the NFL what he’s capable of against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Injuries Dominate the Story Lines as Bengals Host Jets Sunday

There aren’t a ton of interesting storylines heading into this week’s game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the New York Jets. The Bengals are relying on a 40-year-old quarterback to build off an impressive win over the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, and that’s about it.

The real headlines, however, are all about injuries. Who will even be playing? Several impact players’ health situations could significantly influence the outcome of this game.

### Bengals Defensive End Trey Hendrickson’s Status

The big injury concern for the Bengals is, of course, defensive end Trey Hendrickson. Even when Hendrickson is on the field, the Bengals’ defense has struggled, so missing the NFL’s reigning sack leader would be a major blow. Hendrickson was limited at Thursday’s practice with a hip injury but appears to have a real chance to play on Sunday. Facing the Jets should motivate anyone to get out on the field.

### Jets’ Questionable Quarterback Situation

Which quarterback will the Bengals face on Sunday? Stop me if you’ve heard this one: the Jets once again have an awful quarterback situation. Justin Fields was benched last week as the Jets dropped their seventh straight game to start the 2025 season.

Starting 0-7 is one thing, but it’s another when the team owner publicly calls his own quarterback “hot garbage.” Woody Johnson didn’t hold back this week:

> “It’s hard when you have a quarterback with a rating that he’s got. I mean, he has ability, but something just is not jiving. If we can just complete a pass, it would look good.”

And to all the Bengals fans out there who complain about the Brown family — Mike Brown would never say something that stupid and inappropriate.

As of now, the Jets still don’t know who their starting quarterback will be against the Bengals in Cincinnati on Sunday. Fields was benched for Tyrod Taylor, but Taylor has been limited in practice this week with a knee injury and has been splitting first-team reps.

When asked about his status, Taylor said:

> “I have no anticipation for it. My mind and my sole focus is being available and ready to be able to lead this team when called upon.”

Head coach Aaron Glenn listed Taylor as “day-to-day,” so expect updates as Sunday approaches.

### Sauce Gardner Injury Could Impact the Bengals

The injury that should concern Bengals fans the most is that of Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner. Gardner has been an elite corner in the NFL, but if he’s anything like anyone else associated with the Jets, he’d probably rather just curl up in a ball and die.

This moribund franchise doesn’t do much to motivate a player to fight through an injury for the green and white. In Gardner’s case, it won’t be up to him whether he plays against the Bengals — he’s currently dealing with a concussion.

With key players on both sides battling injuries and uncertainty at quarterback for the Jets, Sunday’s game promises to be an intriguing matchup despite the lack of traditional storylines. Bengals fans will be watching closely to see who takes the field and who makes the biggest impact.

Toyota has teased its highly anticipated upcoming sports car, signaling a major reveal event scheduled for Monday in Japan. The automaker shared intriguing teaser photos featuring a billboard at the iconic Fuji Speedway. The billboard showcases the front end of the new sports car positioned alongside legendary models like the LFA and the 2000GT. These images were posted on Toyota’s official page on X, sparking excitement among enthusiasts.

### Upcoming Event and Teaser Website

Toyota has also launched a teaser website hinting at a significant event where it will make several announcements spanning multiple brands, including GR, Crown, and Daihatsu. While the landing page does not disclose extensive details, it offers subtle clues. A prominent message reads:
*”The sign at Fuji Speedway has changed. On the left is the 2000GT. Next to it is the LFA. And next to that.?”*

This cryptic line hints at the unveiling of a new sports car that aims to stand alongside these iconic predecessors.

### Possible Reveal: GR GT3 and Lexus LFR

One of the focal points of Monday’s event could be the first official look at Toyota’s new GR GT3 race car. This vehicle serves as a precursor to the upcoming Lexus LFR race car. Spotted prototypes of the GR GT3 are marked with yellow stickers, strongly suggesting the inclusion of a hybrid powertrain, which hints at Toyota’s ongoing commitment to blending performance with advanced technology.

### What to Expect Beyond the Sports Car

While much of the excitement revolves around the new sports car and race models, Toyota’s announcements are expected to cover a broader range of topics. With GR, Daihatsu, and Crown brands also featured, enthusiasts can anticipate additional updates and possibly new model introductions across these lineups.

Stay tuned on Monday for what promises to be a significant day in Toyota’s motorsport and performance vehicle story.
