Cam Jurgens Returns To Eagles Lineup Ahead Of Pivotal Lions Showdown

**Pro Bowl Center Cam Jurgens Set to Return for Eagles’ Clash Against Lions**

Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens will be snapping the football to Jalen Hurts on Sunday against the Detroit Lions, marking his return to the Eagles’ lineup for the first time since suffering a knee injury during Philadelphia’s 28-22 victory over the Minnesota Vikings.

In Jurgens’ absence, Brett Toth started at center against the Giants and Packers, with the Eagles’ bye week coming in between those two games.

**Toth Steps Up in Jurgens’ Absence**

This season, Brett Toth has played a vital role, filling in at both left guard and center. Injuries to the Eagles’ formidable offensive line thrust Toth into the starting lineup. Notably, this was Toth’s first time starting at center in his career.

After replacing an injured Landon Dickerson in the first meeting against New York, Toth did an admirable job stepping in for Jurgens—something the veteran center certainly noticed.

> “Brett did a great job,” Jurgens said. “He’s been in the league seven, eight years now. He stepped in. Did a great job. Communication was good. He knows exactly what we’re doing.”

**Jurgens Ready to Return**

After nearly a month on the sidelines, Jurgens is eager to get back on the field. Following Friday’s practice, he spoke to the media about his return.

> “I’m just trying to get better every day, every week,” Jurgens said.

The Eagles will benefit greatly from having Jurgens back as they go up against Detroit’s fierce defensive front, which features standout edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson. Earlier this week, Hutchinson highlighted the importance of this Lions-Eagles matchup in a conversation with NBC Sports Philadelphia.

**Eagles’ Offensive Line Near Full Strength**

There were concerns earlier in the week regarding the health of Philadelphia’s offensive line. Four out of five starters—Lane Johnson (ankle), Landon Dickerson (quad), Cam Jurgens (knee), and Tyler Steen (oblique)—were all listed as limited participants in Wednesday’s practice.

However, the situation improved as the week progressed. By Friday, every Eagles player on the active roster was a full participant in practice except for reserve center/guard Willie Lampkin. Lampkin, who remains on injured reserve with knee and ankle injuries, was a full participant this week but must be activated by Saturday at 4 PM if he’s to play. With his activation window open until November 27th, Lampkin is likely to remain on IR for at least one more week as the Eagles prepare for this pivotal matchup.

**Other Injury Updates**

Several other Eagles also shed their injury designations by Friday, including linebacker Nolan Smith, wide receiver Darius Cooper, cornerback Jakorian Bennett, and long snapper Cal Adomitis. All four were listed on the injury report earlier in the week, but none carry an injury status into Sunday.

**Big Implications as Eagles Host Lions**

Philadelphia will put their three-game winning streak on the line when they host the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football at Lincoln Financial Field. With Detroit just one game behind in the NFC standings, Sunday’s matchup carries significant playoff seeding implications as the regular season winds down.

Stay tuned for full coverage of Eagles vs. Lions, including injury updates and key storylines throughout the week.

Evacuations Forced After Pack Fire Burns Thousands Of Acres In Mono County, California

A major wildfire broke out in Mono County, California, midday on November 13 and has rapidly grown to more than 3,000 acres. The fire has destroyed or damaged multiple structures and prompted mandatory evacuations for thousands of residents in the impacted areas.

As of the morning of November 14, the Pack Fire remains just 5% contained, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.

Over 350 firefighters, supported by a fleet of engines, are actively combating the fire around Highway 395, Crowley Lake, and McGee Creek. This area is approximately 30 miles from the California-Nevada border. Air tankers from across the state are conducting fire-suppression drops whenever conditions permit, as reported by the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

Evacuation orders and warnings remain in place for more than 1,500 residents and over 1,000 structures in communities near the fire. So far, at least 15 structures have sustained damage, with assessments ongoing.

Strong winds have driven the wildfire’s explosive growth in the remote, mountainous Eastern Sierra region, about 15 miles from the popular ski resort of Mammoth Mountain. According to status reports, the fire expanded from just 10 acres to more than 1,000 acres in a single hour during the early afternoon of November 13.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely as efforts to contain the Pack Fire remain underway. Residents are urged to stay informed through official channels and follow all evacuation orders to ensure their safety.

Political reporter who had alleged romantic relationship with RFK Jr speaks out

You can now listen to Fox News articles!

The political reporter who reportedly had an alleged romantic relationship with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on the campaign trail is speaking out about what she said happened between them.

She loved his eyes, “blue as the flame.” She admired his insatiable appetites and his “particular complications and particular darkness,” The Times profile began. “But she said ‘I love you’ only after he said it first. He called her ‘Livvy’ and wrote her poems. He said he wanted her to have his baby. He promised to take a bullet for her.”

She told The Times she hasn’t spoken with Kennedy in over a year and declined to weigh in on his job in the Trump administration. On what came over her, she joked, “Maybe it was the vaccines.”

A representative for Kennedy did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment. A spokesperson previously denied any sort of physical relationship had occurred and said he had only met Nuzzi once.

Nuzzi has maintained that she never had a physical relationship with him but did engage in “personal” communications. Kennedy remains married to actress Cheryl Hines.

The alleged “sexting” scandal led to the end of Nuzzi’s engagement to Politico’s then-chief Washington correspondent and Playbook co-author Ryan Lizza (he has since left the outlet).

New York Magazine dismissed Nuzzi following the revelations and conducted a probe that concluded it found “no inaccuracies nor evidence of bias” in her work.

In September, Vanity Fair announced it had hired Nuzzi as the magazine’s West Coast editor.

Meanwhile, Cheryl Hines refused RFK Jr.’s offer to fake separation during the heated presidential campaign.

Google bets big on Texas with $40B data center plan

**Google to Invest $40 Billion in New Texas Data Centers Amid Growing AI Infrastructure Boom**

Alphabet Inc.’s Google announced plans to invest $40 billion in three new data centers in Texas, significantly expanding its footprint in the state. This investment, expected to continue through 2027, comes as competitors like OpenAI and Anthropic PBC also make substantial commitments to Texas.

According to a statement released by Google on Friday, November 14, one data center will be located in Armstrong County within the Texas Panhandle, while two others will be established in Haskell County, near Abilene.

“This investment will create thousands of jobs, offer skills training for college students and electrical apprentices, and speed up energy affordability projects across Texas,” said Sundar Pichai, CEO of Alphabet, during an event near Dallas, where Google already operates two other data centers.

### Texas: A Growing Hub for Data Centers and AI Investment

Texas has become an attractive destination for data center investments due to its lower energy costs, abundant available land, and supportive state government infrastructure tailored to the growing artificial intelligence sector.

Google emphasized its commitment to enhancing local energy resources, covering operational costs, and supporting community energy efficiency programs as part of its expansion plans. The company also announced an electrical training program aimed at increasing the number of apprentices in Texas, supported by Google.org’s AI Opportunity Fund.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott, present at the event with Pichai, endorsed these developments, predicting that Texas will become the primary hub for Google’s AI data centers. “Companies can come to Texas and carry out their operations knowing that the state acts quickly in business,” Abbott said.

Following the announcement, Alphabet’s stock saw a 1.7% rise in after-hours trading, up from a closing price of $276.41 in New York.

### Texas Attracting Major Tech Investments

Texas continues to solidify its reputation as a prime location for tech-related investments.

Earlier this week, Anthropic announced plans to invest $50 billion in data centers across the U.S., including sites in New York and Texas—states known for ample land and lower energy costs. These data centers are part of Anthropic’s strategy to stay competitive in the AI infrastructure market and are being developed in collaboration with Fluidstack.

OpenAI, Oracle Corporation, and SoftBank Group Corporation are jointly supporting the Stargate project, which recently broke ground on its first data center in Abilene, Texas. Company leaders have indicated plans to build additional facilities within the state.

Meta Platforms Inc. is also constructing a new data center in Texas capable of generating one gigawatt of power—a capacity sufficient to power approximately 750,000 people simultaneously.

Microsoft Corporation signed a nearly $10 billion, five-year agreement earlier this month to secure computing capacity in Texas, further underlining the state’s growing importance in the tech infrastructure landscape.

Fermi Inc., a real estate investment trust co-founded by Rick Perry (former Governor of Texas and Energy Secretary under President Donald Trump), revealed plans to build four nuclear power reactors in Texas to support a private data center campus.

### Google’s Expanding Capital Expenditure on AI and Cloud Services

Analysts note that Google is known for its significant capital spending. This year, the company expects to invest over $90 billion in capital expenses, a figure that surpasses earlier estimates. The majority of this investment will focus on servers, customized chips, and new data centers to bolster its AI and cloud service capabilities.

With Texas emerging as a central hub for AI infrastructure, Google’s multi-billion-dollar investment signals the company’s commitment to expanding its presence in the state and the broader tech ecosystem.
