**Statesville Woman Arrested on Drug Charges Following Hotel Traffic Stop**
A 38-year-old Statesville resident, Brandi Alexandra Miller, was arrested Saturday morning following a traffic stop at the Clarion Hotel in Statesville. The arrest was made by an Iredell County Sheriff’s Office deputy after methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia were discovered in Miller’s vehicle.
The incident occurred when a deputy, responding to a narcotics complaint at the hotel, observed Miller leaving the property. A K-9 unit was deployed and subsequently alerted officers to the presence of narcotics in her vehicle, leading to the discovery of the illegal substances.
Sheriff Darren Campbell highlighted the importance of community involvement in crime prevention, stating, “This case is a great example of how citizen tips can lead to real results. Miller is facing several charges, including felony possession of methamphetamine, felony maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Magistrate Hollar issued a $10,000 secured bond for Miller’s release.
