Hegseth reveals another US strike on alleged drug-trafficking boat

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced on Sunday that the United States conducted another strike targeting an alleged drug-trafficking boat just days earlier.

He stated, “On October 17th, at the direction of President Trump, the Department of War conducted a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel affiliated with Ejército de Liberación Nacional (ELN), a Designated Terrorist Organization, that was operating…”

Further details regarding the operation and its outcomes have not been disclosed at this time. This strike underscores the ongoing U.S. efforts to combat drug trafficking and terrorist activities linked to the ELN.

Germany is getting slapped in the face by its ‘allies’, again and again

Warsaw’s refusal to hand over the Nord Stream bombing suspect is both illegal and insulting — but Berlin will take it anyway.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk just couldn’t resist an opportunity to bait the Germans and highlight how humiliated they are now. And he did so not once, but twice.

First, when one of the Ukrainians suspected of carrying out the September 2022 terrorist attack on the Nord Stream pipelines — the world’s largest offshore pipeline system and a vital piece of German infrastructure — was recently arrested in Poland, Tusk could have simply kept quiet. But what would have been the fun in that?

Instead, the Polish prime minister made a point of holding an aggressive press conference. He also took to X to tell Berlin, in essence, to go and jump in the Baltic.

Tusk declared that extraditing the Ukrainian state terrorist suspect is not in Poland’s national interest. He added that, anyhow, the real scandal about Nord Stream is not that it was blown up but that it was built.

In other words, rather than cooperating with Germany on this critical security issue, Warsaw has chosen to provoke and insult. Still, despite the political posturing, Berlin is expected to take the suspect for questioning — demonstrating a commitment to justice even in the face of diplomatic tensions.

Virginia Giuffre beaten, raped by ‘well-known prime minister’ in attack that broke Epstein spell, her memoir reveals

Prominent Jeffrey Epstein victim Virginia Roberts Giuffre was brutally bloodied, beaten, and raped by a “well-known prime minister” in a series of savage encounters. These traumatic events ultimately helped the teenager break free from the sex trafficker’s control.

In her posthumous memoir, *Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice*, Giuffre recounted begging Epstein to intervene after the unnamed politician forced her to plead for her life. However, the pedophile coldly told her it was simply part of her job.

“After the attack, I couldn’t stay a fool. Having been treated so brutally and then seeing Epstein’s callous reaction to how terrorized I felt, I had to accept that Epstein meted out praise merely as a manipulation to keep me subservient,” Giuffre wrote, according to an excerpt shared with The Post.

Take a cue from the boomers: Fix the housing crisis with smaller starter homes

Baby Boomers owe their very existence to an explosion in starter homes that followed World War II. During this period, the housing market saw a significant surge in the construction of affordable, entry-level homes, enabling many young families to achieve homeownership.

However, thanks to the influence of NIMBYs (“Not In My Backyard” advocates), the starter homes that were once abundant during the baby-boom era have largely been banned in many communities. This shift has contributed to a reduction in affordable housing options, making it increasingly difficult for new generations to find affordable starter homes.

As a result, housing affordability has suffered, highlighting the ongoing challenges in balancing community preferences with the need for accessible housing.

The Janet Mills-Graham Platner primary is a reckoning for Democrats hungry for new voices

Former “Meet the Press” moderator Chuck Todd has observed a significant shift within the Democratic Party. According to Todd, there is currently “a real anti-incumbent and anti-establishment vibe” permeating the party.

This sentiment reflects growing dissatisfaction among Democratic voters toward traditional party leadership and long-standing officeholders. The mood suggests a desire for fresh faces and new approaches as the party navigates upcoming political challenges.
