MANILA, Philippines — Alex Eala dominated Japan’s Mei Yamaguchi, 6-0, 6-3, to reach the Jingshan Tennis Open quarterfinals on Thursday in China.
It took the 20-year-old Filipino only 72 minutes to rout the World No. 268, blanking Yamaguchi in the opening set.
