Edelman nets 21 as No. 5 Morris catholic tops No. 19 Teaneck – Girls basketball recap

Jacqueline Edelman led Morris Catholic with a game-high 21 points, including five 3-pointers, along with three rebounds and three assists, in an impressive 86-40 victory over No. 19 Teaneck in Denville.

Morris Catholic, ranked No. 5 in the NJ.com Top 20, dominated the game from the start, holding a commanding 48-20 lead at halftime.

Jayah Curtis contributed 19 points, four rebounds, and three assists for Morris Catholic, while Kennedy Brown added 16 points, six assists, and four steals. Morgan Fulton posted a strong performance with 18 rebounds, nine points, and four steals.

For Teaneck (10-6), Sydney Ayala and Lexi Carnegie each scored 10 points, but it was not enough to overcome Morris Catholic’s balanced attack. With this win, Morris Catholic improves to 13-5 on the season.
