CHSAA’s all-state gymnastics team

Niwot junior Genevieve Saunders was named BoCoPreps and the Class 4A gymnast of the year after winning the 4A individual all-around title for a second straight season last month. She led 13 area gymnasts on CHSAA’s all-state team.

Alongside Saunders, Kylee Schlepp, Charlotte O’Neill, and Lilly O’Neill made the 4A first team for the Cougars, who also won the team title. Among the first teamers’ state contributions, Schlepp took fourth in vault, while Saunders, Charlotte, and Lilly O’Neill went one-two-three on the beam.

Sienna Wood was named to the second team for Niwot, while Isabella Foster and Charlotte Bronski earned honorable mentions.

Broomfield was led by senior Liliana Wojahn, who finished third in the 5A all-around competition as she helped lead the Eagles to the team title. Audrina Zanella (third individual vault) and Miata Santos (third in floor) were also named to the first team. Additionally, Keira La Hue and Charlotte Parris made the second team, while Kiara Homolka received an honorable mention.

Coaching honors went to Broomfield’s Abby Anderson and Niwot’s Marisa Purcell, who were named the 5A and 4A coaches of the year, respectively.
