BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Acting Buffalo Mayor Chris Scanlon proposed a $94 million capital budget plan for 2026 on Wednesday. The proposed funding aims to enhance the city’s infrastructure, including improvements to senior and youth facilities, cultural assets, as well as support for Buffalo Police, Fire, and Public Works departments.
Additionally, the plan allocates significant resources to Buffalo Public Schools. Scanlon noted that $55.6 million of the budget would be dedicated specifically to BPS, underscoring the city’s commitment to education and community development.
