CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) — The city of Clovis is taking time to honor its past.
On Wednesday, community leaders unveiled a new plaza at 3rd Street and Sunnyside Avenue. The plaza is named after Peg Bos, the first woman to serve as mayor of Clovis.
Bos was a driving force behind reviving the Clovis Big Dry Creek Historical Society and Museum, where she served as president for 20 years.
She was also in attendance for Wednesday’s ceremony, along with several family members.
In addition to her contributions to the community, you can catch her weekly column called “Let’s Talk Clovis” in the Clovis Roundup newspaper.
