Obiena Triumphs at World Pole Vault Challenge in Makati City
MANILA, Philippines—Buoyed by the support of the home crowd, EJ Obiena delivered a spectacular performance at the World Pole Vault Challenge held on Sunday at Ayala Triangle Gardens in Makati City.
Obiena cleared 5.80 meters in just two attempts, narrowly edging out France’s Thibault Collet for the gold medal through a countback.
Poland’s Piotr Lisek completed the podium, securing the bronze medal.
