Actress Konatsu Kato provided both the face and voice of Hinako. Recently, she decided to experience the adventure built around her character firsthand through a livestream. This session offers an amusing mix of scares and insights directly from the voice actor herself.
Kato posted the first livestream session of Silent Hill f on her YouTube channel, playing through the early hours of the game. Throughout her run, she thanks fans for their support, reacts to various frightening encounters, tackles quick-time events and chases, and even mimics some of Hinako’s animations.
The livestream is entirely in Japanese, with only rough machine-translated English subtitles available for those who want them. Despite this, it remains fairly easy to follow along, and Kato clearly seems to be enjoying the experience—even if some parts get a little stressful during the scarier moments.
Silent Hill f turned heads as it arrived just in time for the spooky Halloween season. Editor Donovan Erskine praised the game, particularly highlighting Konatsu Kato’s portrayal of Hinako as “a great Silent Hill protagonist.” He also commended the game’s excellent sound design and intriguing story.
