**Madhya Pradesh Receives Rs 3,665 Crore Investment Proposals at Inaugural Travel Mart**

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh marked a significant milestone in its tourism sector by receiving investment proposals worth Rs 3,665 crore on the first day of its inaugural Travel Mart held on Saturday. The event took place at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Center and attracted participants from 27 countries.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced that the state will now host the Travel Mart annually on fixed dates — October 11, 12, and 13 — joining the ranks of Kerala and Rajasthan in institutionalizing this key tourism event.

### Showcasing Madhya Pradesh’s Tourism Potential

Over 4,000 business-to-business meetings are planned during the Travel Mart, aiming to showcase Madhya Pradesh’s rich culture and vast tourism potential to the global audience. The event is expected to boost the state’s profile across various tourism sectors, including religious, wildlife, heritage, and health tourism.

During the conclave, a special television commercial featuring the sitar maestro Pandit Ravi Shankar’s daughter, Anushka Shankar, was launched, adding a cultural touch to the proceedings.

### New Initiatives to Boost Tourism

CM Mohan Yadav also announced the launch of new helicopter services across three sectors to improve connectivity and further boost tourism within the state.

### Ekta Kapoor’s Five-Year Film Contract with Madhya Pradesh

In a significant development for the state’s film industry, Balaji Films’ renowned producer Ekta Kapoor signed a five-year contract to shoot her upcoming projects in Madhya Pradesh. This move is expected to promote the state as a preferred destination for film production.

### Union Minister Praises Madhya Pradesh Tourism Potential

Union Minister for Culture and Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, lauded Madhya Pradesh as one of the best states for tourism in India. He emphasized the government’s recognition of the state’s vast tourism potential and reiterated support for its growth.

### Event Highlights and Participants

The Travel Mart will host over 700 participants, including more than 80 foreign tour operators from 27 countries, 150 domestic operators, 355 sellers, film representatives, and media professionals. This diverse gathering aims to foster collaboration and drive new opportunities in Madhya Pradesh’s tourism sector.
