Japan FIVB exit not on absent standouts’ shoulders, says Tillie

Japan coach Laurent Tillie had no excuses following their exit in the 2025 FIVB Men’s World Championship.

While the Ryujin Nippon secured a victory against Libya on Wednesday night at the Araneta Coliseum, playing in front of a passionate and rowdy “home” crowd, the win was not enough to change their fate.

Despite the spirited performance, Japan did not advance to the competition’s next round, bringing their championship journey to an end.
