AI governance framework to be released by Sept 28, says Ashwini Vaishnaw

Vaishnaw further stated that India will place strong emphasis on AI safety during the AI Impact Summit it will host in February 2026.

The summit aims to bring together global leaders, experts, and stakeholders to discuss and shape the future of artificial intelligence with a focus on safety and ethical considerations.

Additionally, Vaishnaw expressed support for the creation of a common, consensus-based global governance framework for AI. This framework would help ensure responsible development and deployment of AI technologies worldwide.
