1973 Lotus Super Seven

This 1973 Lotus Super Seven is a right-hand-drive Series 4 example that was sold new in the UK. It was fitted with a “Big Valve” 1. 6L twin-cam inline-four and a replacement fiberglass tub in addition to undergoing chassis repairs in the early 1980s before being brought to the US in the mid-2010s. Chassis S43314S subsequently underwent additional refurbishment work that involved a color change to green, an engine rebuild, and more as detailed below. The car rides on 13″ Jupiter alloy wheels coupled with Gaz adjustable coilovers at all four corners and is equipped with front disc brakes. The cockpit houses fixed-back bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl that are paired with Sabelt harnesses. The engine breathes through dual Weber 45 DCOE carburetors as well as a stainless-steel exhaust system, while shifting is through a four-speed manual transmission. Further details include a black canvas soft top, a roll bar, a heater, and retrofitted Smiths instrumentation. Acquired by the current owner in 2016, this Super Seven is now offered on dealer consignment with a collection of records and a clean California title.
