T-Pain Calls Out Friendship with DJ Khaled as He Details Lessons He’s Learned in Music Industry: ‘Nobody Is Your Brother’

T-Pain is opening up about where he stands with DJ Khaled. In a Club Shay Shay interview released Wednesday, Nov. 26, the 41-year-old “Buy U a Drank” artist was asked what he’s learned throughout his 20 years in the music industry. “Nobody is your brother,” the guest told host Shannon Sharpe. After Sharpe, 57, advised T-Pain not to take it any further, T-Pain doubled down and said, “Nobody is your brother. Everybody’s your brother while they can use you. That is the quickest and the most consistent thing that I’ve learned through this whole thing.” When asked if he “had to learn that the hard way,” T-Pain agreed, later name-dropping the “Wild Thoughts” producer, 50. “Anytime you need me, I’m here for you. Anytime you need me. But nah, bro. It’s that brother s nobody is your brother. I’ve had DJ Khaled and everybody done told me, ‘I’m your brother,’” he claimed. “Do not believe that s” T-Pain, who collaborated with DJ Khaled on the 2010 hit “All I Do Is Win,” suggested his stance is nothing new. “It’s very apparent. DJ Khaled knows how to move. He knows how to do things with different people,” the “Bartender” singer continued. Still, he clarified, “It’s not a DJ Khaled type of thing. That’s just the first person I can think of.” The singer went on to say there’s been “so many people” he’s helped during his years in music, and in most cases, those individuals are not reliable friends despite calling him a “brother.” “‘You’re my brother. You’re my brother,’ ” he said. “And then none of that s was reciprocated. None of that s came back. None of that s meant anything.” “When people tell you how much you mean to them, don’t grab onto that,” T-Pain said, taking a moment as he appeared to become emotional. “When people tell you how much they can mean to you in return, that’s the s you gravitate towards.” DJ Khaled has not publicly addressed T-Pain’s remarks as of Wednesday evening. PEOPLE reached out to a representative for DJ Khaled for comment. Wednesday’s Club Shay Shay episode isn’t the first time T-Pain has spoken out against his industry peers. In a 2021 Netflix series titled This Is Pop, T-Pain claimed that Usher told him that his auto-tuned songs “kinda fed up music. I thought he was joking at first, but then he was like, ‘Yeah man, you really f up music for real singers,’ ” T-Pain said in the series. Never miss a story sign up for PEOPLE’s free daily newsletter to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. The remark sent him into “a four-year depression,” the “Can’t Believe It” singer said. Usher later said he and T-Pain had a talk about the situation and were “good.”.

Trump Calls for ‘All Necessary Measures’ After National Guard Shooting

President Donald Trump said everyone who arrived in the U. S. from Afghanistan under the Biden administration must be “reexamined” in light of the Wednesday shooting of two West Virginia National Guard members who were deployed to Washington, D. C. Why It Matters Thousands of Afghans arrived in the United States after the Islamist Taliban recaptured the country in 2021, as U. S. forces were withdrawing after two decades of the “war against terrorism” launched after the 9/11 attack on the United States. Many of the new arrivals had worked with U. S. troops during their two-decade presence in Afghanistan, as interpreters, fixers and in other support capacities, and as a result, faced persecution from the Taliban after they defeated a U. S.-backed Afghan government and seized control of the country. What To Know The suspect in the shooting of the two National Guard members near the White House on Wednesday has been identified as 29-year-old Afghan national Rahmanullah Lakanwal, multiple law enforcement sources told the media. Lakanwal, who they say entered the U. S. in 2021, was shot, wounded and arrested. Trump, in a video address on Wednesday night, referred to Afghanistan as “a hellhole on earth” and said “nobody knew who was coming in” to the United States after the Taliban victory in 2021. “This attack underscores the single greatest national security threat facing our nation,” Trump said, referring to the Wednesday shooting. “We must now reexamine every single alien who has entered our country from Afghanistan under Biden and we must take all necessary measures to ensure the removal of any alien from the country who does not belong here, or add benefit to our country. If they can’t love our country, we don’t want them,” the president added. Trump said the shooting suspect’s “status was extended under legislation signed by President Biden,” who Trump said let in 20 million “unknown and unfettered” foreigners. In May 2022, months after the fall of Kabul, then Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas had designated Afghans eligible for temporary protected status (TPS), granting those in the U. S. without legal status protections from deportation and offering work authorization so they could earn a living. Some 8, 200 Afghans have benefited from TPS, per National Immigration Forum estimates. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem announced on May 12, 2025, that TPS would be terminated for Afghans, saying that Homeland Security had reviewed conditions in Afghanistan with the help of interagency partners, and determined conditions had improved enough to revoke the temporary protections. The United Nations and multiple humanitarian organizations still report that Afghanistan is volatile, and that Afghans who fled could likely be targeted upon their return. Hundreds of thousands of Afghans remain scattered in other countries, where they are also seeking asylum. What People Are Saying Trump, in his address: “We’re not going to put up with these kinds of assaults on law and order by people who shouldn’t even be in our country.” Nasirullah Safi, who worked as an interpreter for the U. S. military for a decade before migrating to the U. S. in 2016 under a Special Immigrant Visa program, to Newsweek in May: “The war has never been ended for these incredible men and women who supported Americans there. It continues, and if they get deported, and if you send them back to the country that’s run by a bunch of lunatics, by the Taliban, no doubt that those people would get killed.” What Happens Next Trump gave no details about how or when the reexamination of Afghan immigrants would be carried out. Investigators have not determined a motive for the Wednesday shooting in Washington.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scores 40 points while ill, leads Thunder to 10th straight win

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 40 points despite being ill and the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 113-105 on Wednesday night in an NBA Cup Game. Gilgeous-Alexander, who was listed as questionable on the injury report, made 12 of 19 field goals and 15 of 17 free throws. Oklahoma City won its 10th straight and became just the fifth team in NBA history to start a season 18-1. The Thunder improved to 4-0 in West Group A and are well-positioned to reach the knockout round. Gilgeous-Alexander has scored at least 20 points in 91 consecutive games, the third-longest streak in NBA history behind two streaks by Wilt Chamberlain. Gilgeous-Alexander can match Chamberlain’s second-place run of 92 straight on Friday against Phoenix. Anthony Edwards had 31 points and eight rebounds and kept the Timberwolves in the game by making several difficult shots, but couldn’t stop Minnesota from losing its third straight. Minnesota made just 22 of 37 free throws. It was a rematch of the Western Conference finals series last season that the Thunder won 4-1. Last time the Timberwolves visited the Paycom Center, they got beat 124-94 in Game 5 as the Thunder clinched the West. Oklahoma City’s Kenrich Williams, who had not played this season because of a left knee injury, got his first action in the first quarter. The Thunder led 24-17 at the end of the opening quarter. It was Minnesota’s second-lowest point total in any quarter this season. Gilgeous-Alexander scored 19 points in the first half to help the Thunder take a 49-39 lead. Minnesota rallied in the third quarter and tied it at 54 and again at 56, but the Thunder took a 78-71 lead into the fourth. 29 Actors Who Demanded Big Changes To Their Characters And Scripts

29 Actors Who Demanded Big Changes To Their Characters And Scripts Bryce Dallas Howard wanted to keep her heels on in “Jurassic World” as “a metaphor.” When it comes to acting, the script isn’t gospel. Many actors made bold choices in their performances, but some take it a step further and suggest significant changes to the story itself. Here are 29 actors who demanded big changes to their characters and scripts to Samuel. 23. When Meryl Streep first read the novel Kramer vs. Kramer, which Avery Corman intentionally wrote to be anti-feminist, she thought Joanna came off as “an ogre, a princess, an ass.” She only agreed to accept the role in the film adaptation on the grounds that the script would be rewritten to make Joanna a more sympathetic, realistic, and fully developed character. She also wrote Joanna’s powerful courtroom speech herself. In Meryl’s version of events, she had actually been called in for a minor role, but writer/director Robert Benton, producer Stanley R. Jaffe, and lead actor Dustin Hoffman were so impressed by her understanding of Joanna that they decided she was the best fit for the role. Robert pulled her to the side and asked her to rewrite Joanna’s upcoming courtroom speech because his version felt like “a man trying to write a woman’s speech.” He told Vanity Fair, “Part of the pleasure she must have taken is showing to Dustin she didn’t need to be slapped. She could have delivered anything to anybody at any time.” 24. Jason Isaacs’s input is the reason his Harry Potter character, Lucius Malfoy, has long hair and a distinctly wizardy wardrobe. He told Entertainment Weekly, “I went to the set, and they had this idea of me wearing a pinstripe suit, short black-and-white hair. I was slightly horrified. He was a racist, a eugenicist. There’s no way he would cut his hair like a Muggle, or dress like a Muggle. In order to keep the hair straight, I had to tip my head back, so I was looking down my nose at everyone. There was 50 percent of the character. I asked for a walking stick, which [director] Chris Columbus first thought was because I had something wrong with my leg. I explained I wanted it as an affectation so I can pull my wand out [of the cane]. After a second’s thought, he said, ‘You know what, I think the toy guys are going to love you.’ He was completely right.” 25. While reading the script for The Usual Suspects, Benicio del Toro realized that his character Fred Fenster’s only purpose was to be the first to die, so he convinced director Bryan Singer to let him deliver his lines in a made-up accent. On Inside the Actor’s Studio, Benicio said, “Every line that [Fred] said didn’t really affect the plot. So I sat down with Bryan Singer, and I said, ‘It really doesn’t matter what this guy says. And if you allow me to, I think that we should allow me to do something with it.’ And he said, ‘Go ahead.'” 26. Initially, Michelle Rodriguez’s The Fast and the Furious character, Letty Ortiz, was supposed to cheat on Dominic Toretto, but the actor opposed the storyline. She told the Daily Beast, “It was more of a Point Break idea. They just followed the format without thinking about the reality of it. Is it realistic for a Latin girl who’s with the alpha-est of the alpha males to cheat on him with the cute boy? I had to put my foot down. I basically cried and said, ‘I’m going to quit’ and, ‘Don’t sue me, please I’m sorry, but I can’t do this in front of millions of people.’ My whole point in being an actress is that I thought I got to live a dream. And I don’t dream about being a slut! Do you?!” Costar Vin Diesel helped her advocate for the changes she wanted. She said, “Vin was the first one to pull me to the side while I was crying, and he just looked at me and said, ‘I got your back. Chill out and let me handle this, and you’re right it makes me look bad anyway.’ And there you go. That was the beginning of the Letty fairytale.” 27. When Jack Nicholson was first approached to play Frank Costello in The Departed, he declined. He told Variety, “I actually turned the movie down the first time it came to me because the character didn’t really exist. But Leo [DiCaprio] and Marty [Scorsese] talked me into it. I guess you can say I was attracted to the company. Marty is very free with his ideas and very receptive to yours. We built this character layer by layer, until we had something that fit inside a great genre film, but also pushed the envelope until the movie becomes almost operatic.” 28. Rutherford Falls actor Jesse Leigh told Pulse Spikes, “There were trans roles when I started out, but they were one-note and very stereotypical. But when I read for the role of Bobbie, the role was originally male-identifying and gay. I kind of wanted to make the role myself. So, therefore, I wore what I wear every day my bell-bottoms and I put on a cute wing liner and some blush. I totally just walked it. I went in [for] my audition one week and then got the screen tests the next week. Within a span of two weeks, I had found out that I got the role of Bobbie. It wasn’t until I actually booked the role that I sat down with the writers and they had asked me about growing up and being non-binary and stories about being non-binary from my childhood. I felt super lucky that the character was kind of sculpted around my life.” 29. And finally, when shooting Apocalypse Now, Marlon Brando completely threw director Francis Ford Coppola’s vision for his character, Colonel Walter Kurtz, out the window. He went the method acting route, refused to memorize most of his lines, and improvised the majority of the time. The director worked around him by recording his improvised ramblings for five days, typing up the parts he wanted to keep, putting them on tape, and giving him headphones.
