A team of 11 IISER Kolkata undergraduates developed engineered “friendly bacteria” that target tumours by reactivating the immune system, offering a safer, effective cancer therapy. Alongside, they’re creating a detection system to monitor treatment. Their project, ReSET, combines science, ethics, and outreach, and will feature at iGEM 2025 in Paris.
“These emissions drive global warming, exacerbating the very respiratory conditions inhalers are meant to relieve,” researchers wrote.
