The Bombay High Court on Wednesday stayed the investigation into a case arising from a scuffle inside the Maharashtra Assembly premises involving supporters of BJP MLA Gopichand Padalkar and the Sharad Pawar-led NCP faction, involving former state cabinet minister Jitendra Awhad.

Acknowledging that heavy rains and floods in several parts of the state have prevented many students from completing their admission cap round forms, the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) cell has extended the correction window for various exams.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the CMS 2025 interview schedule. Personality tests for shortlisted candidates (2,045) will be conducted from October 13 to November 21. Reporting times are 9:00 AM forenoon and 1:00 PM afternoon. Candidates can view and download their e-summon letters from upsc.gov.in.
