NBA YoungBoy Drops New Freestyle Mentioning Kevin Durant and Ken Carson Amid Beef with NLE Choppa
NBA YoungBoy (real name Kentrell DeSean Gaulden) has released a new freestyle track, notably mentioning basketball star Kevin Durant and rapper Ken Carson. This comes amid his ongoing feud with fellow rapper NLE Choppa (real name Bryson LaShun Potts), who dropped a diss track titled “KO” directed at YoungBoy.
In the freestyle, shared on his Instagram story on Saturday, November 15, Gaulden raps:
“My b*tch f**ked Kevin Durant and f**ked Ken Carson / She gon’ tell me after I turned her up, man, you knowin’ I’m finna whoop this ho (This ho) / N***a f**k with somethin’, yeah, drop your n*ts, I’ll make you do the Tootsie Roll / B*tch, f**k you / And you ain’t really 5, and hell nah with real.”
Fans quickly reacted to the verse, expressing surprise and mixed emotions across social media platforms. Some reactions included:
– An X (formerly Twitter) user asking, “Is that a flex?”
– @miascannons said, “Man turned his relationship drama into a mixtape bar. You can’t make this sh*t up.”
– @suayrez questioned, “Why would he admit this 💀”
– @trevor_season tweeted, “Batman couldn’t get me to even THINK about telling him this sh*t.”
– @tommy_tie remarked, “Brave of you to put that out there.”

NLE Choppa’s Diss Track “KO” and Its Dream Inspiration
NLE Choppa and NBA YoungBoy’s feud escalated with the release of Choppa’s diss track “KO” on October 30. In the song, Choppa criticizes YoungBoy as a bad influence on youth and declares that he has entered the “big leagues.” Lyrics include:
“YoungBoy, what? This the big boy league / I put one up in your gut under the Jesus piece / Last thing that I heard was ‘Jesus, please’ / Had me looking at the devil like ‘This is your king.’”
In a Rolling Stone interview published on November 3, Bryson Potts revealed that the diss track was inspired by a vivid dream. He described it:
“What made the time now is a power higher than me. Like I said, when people ask me the reason why now or why in general this is my fourth time, fifth time-sharing this story, so sometimes it’s not as fresh sharing it but I was awakened out of my sleep with a vivid dream.
The dream was me holding a young boy’s head in my hand, and I was bringing the head to my father in the dream, my dad. And when I woke up from my sleep, I wanted to pray about the dream, and I started to seek what the dream meant. And going into that space of prayer, I knew it was time.”
Choppa clarified that he holds no personal grudge against NBA YoungBoy and even expressed openness to collaborating with him if Gaulden is willing.
Current Status and Recent Activity
NBA YoungBoy has yet to publicly respond directly to NLE Choppa’s diss track, aside from releasing his recent “Zero IQ Freestyle.” Meanwhile, he recently concluded his MASA Tour, with all shows reportedly sold out.
The rap beef between these two continues to generate buzz within the hip-hop community, with fans eagerly awaiting the next moves from both artists.
