Social media influencer Jack Doherty found himself in hot water on Saturday morning when Miami Beach Police arrested him on multiple charges. But during the arrest, Doherty seemed more preoccupied with protecting his prized watch than his impending trip to jail.

We’ve obtained footage of the incident, which begins with Doherty stopping next to a police car, where officers proceed to search him in the middle of the street. As the encounter unfolds, Doherty’s friends are seen recording the interaction. However, officers quickly direct them to move aside, warning that anyone who refuses to step onto the sidewalk might find themselves in handcuffs just like Doherty. Unsurprisingly, the group opts for the curb.

After placing Doherty in handcuffs, officers conduct a thorough search, pulling several items—what appears to be a pill among them—from his pockets. The situation intensifies when an officer attempts to remove Doherty’s watch. Doherty, clearly anxious, tells the officers they can’t simply unfasten it; instead, the watch needs to slide off his wrist. He pleads for his handcuffs to be removed, wanting to pass the watch to a friend to ensure it doesn’t get damaged during the process.

Despite Doherty’s concerns, the police do not accommodate his request. Ultimately, they secure him in the back of the squad car, his treasured watch still on his wrist.
