Reggie Fils-Aime is surprised Xbox ‘has not yet embraced the Switch 2’

With the Nintendo Switch 2 having been out for a few months, there aren’t many people we’d like to hear more from on the matter than former—and legendary—Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aimé.

Fils-Aimé recently shared his thoughts on the Switch 2’s launch and how it has performed so far, applauding many of the decisions that Nintendo has made. However, one aspect remains a head-scratcher for him: he doesn’t understand why Xbox hasn’t been more aggressive in porting its games to the platform.

Reggie Fils-Aimé spoke about this and more during a recent episode of *The Game Business Show* with Christopher Dring. When asked about the Switch 2’s launch, Fils-Aimé offered several insights, but his take on the relatively lukewarm software support on the new console stood out the most.

During the discussion, Dring pointed out that titles like *Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4* have already made their way to Switch 2, and *Indiana Jones and the Great Circle* is set to arrive soon. However, he also noted that Xbox’s presence on the platform has been very light, which is surprising given that making games available on Switch was a key condition imposed by trade authorities to approve Xbox’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

This cautious approach from Xbox raises questions, especially considering the potential of the Switch 2 as a gaming platform. Fans and industry observers alike will be watching closely to see whether Xbox intensifies its support for the console in the coming months.
