Manipur RIMS Doctors, Nurses, Staff, and Students Stage Protest Demanding Justice
Doctors, nurses, staff, and students at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Manipur recently staged a protest demanding justice following the assault of a senior consultant during an agitation over the death of a woman patient.
As a result of the protest, emergency services, outpatient departments, and routine operations at the hospital remained shut, impacting healthcare services across the facility.
In response to the incident and ongoing unrest, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has urged the Union Health Ministry to intervene and conduct a thorough review of the hospital administration to ensure the safety of medical personnel and the smooth functioning of the institution.
