A man was shot by police after he was accused of holding his girlfriend hostage in a Northridge neighborhood.
On November 2, Los Angeles police responded to reports of a fight in the 8900 block of Balcom Avenue around 2 a.m. The caller told police they heard loud fighting and a woman crying.
