MANILA, Philippines — Italy overcame the biggest threat to its title defense by ousting World No. 1 Poland in straight sets, 25-21, 25-22, 25-23, on Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
With this victory, Italy secured a spot in the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship final for the second consecutive time.
The defending champions relied heavily on the scoring duo of Yuri Romano and Alessandro Michieletto, whose combined efforts proved decisive in overcoming the formidable Polish team.
